I'm not talking about who is on council and who is still alive, I mean the carry over bonuses, like start at level 3, start with an extra 100,000 creds, etc.

Well i imported my level 52 and i started at level 2 with a little extra money, but not much, I know that if you import a max level 60 you start at level 5, not sure about money with that one though. Also, as far as I can tell, importing a 60 is the only way to reach the max level (which is 30 in ME2) so there is an extra achievement in that as well.

Couldn't you just do a new game+ with any character and hit 30?

Well yea you could, but I was referring to your first play through. Once you beat the game, you can NG+ at the same level and gain the achievement, but again, as far as the first play, it doesn't look possible.

all I can remember is at lvl 48 infiltrator, when I carried over to ME2 I had 125,000 credits and 2500 bonus to all resources... I am currently looking at re-playing ME1 so I actually remember the choices I made, I'll probably add getting a lvl 60 character to the list when I do and let u know.

Yea I went through ME2 fresh since it did not read my save for some reason. Just went through ME1 again as Paragon and made all of the opposite choices ME@ auto makes for you. (I saved counsil, let Ash die, chose Anderson for counsil, and I also saved the Rachni Queen, although that has not had an effect yet.) I went through in about 25ish hours, since there was stuff that didnt matter, like resources and the collection crap. I am now playing my imported Fem Shep. All in All, ME is the best series I have ever played...just look at my sig and you will laugh lol.

I would like ME1 more if the guns were more accurate before I hit level 20. Up until then it's spray and pray.

Also the squad AI is stupid.

Mako sections are not bad in themselves, just boring because they are repeated so often.

But I beat a dead horse. I want to eventually do a 100% completion Shepard in ME1, so I can import him into ME2, then do a 100% completion ME2 Shepard, and then import him into ME3.

I imported my level 50 rich guy & started at level 3 with I believe 5k in resources & 125-130k in credits. You get 100k for the rich achievement, 25 or 30 for being level 50.

Yea I just checked after paying for a while, and with my import i started with 300k and 52k each of the resources, but i had beaten the game already, so i'm not sure if that effected it.

I imported by max level Infiltrator, and the game also detected that I had beaten ME1 on Insanity.

I got a nice chunk of cash and a big resource bonus.

Does anyone know if there i much gain from importing a ME 1 character, that have only done the main missions, and very minimal of the side quests? Level wouldn't be high at all.

The reason why I'm asking is cause that i won't bother going trough ME 1 again (and on the pc playthroughs i did every possible ending, plus i did all side quests), as i did it alot of times on my computer version of ME 1 (my gaming computer died on me, so i just bought and xbox 360 (I bought ME 1 for XBOX 360 aswell, and ME 2 for XBOX 360) to use for gaming).

How much playtime would one use going through ME1 just doing the main missions?

Well if you finish ME1 at lvl 60 you start off as lvl 5 with the resources and stuff. Also get paragon/renegade points(which are very helpful) and credits. Plus you get a different story if you kept some of the characters alive which will matter in ME3.

As for the side missions...I did them all cause I thought they'd be important such as the geth gathering data one for Tali and the Cerberus one.

Okay the starting off bonuses.

If you had Max Money (10Million-1) then you get 100k credits at the start of ME2.

If you had a level 60 character then you start at level 5 with another 50k credits.

If you completed the Valuable Minerals Mission then you start with 10k Resources of each type. Which is about 10% what you need total in the game.

The credits are really the most valuable, since they are rather limited in ME2.

Something to keep in mind though. When you beat ME2. You get a ME2 completion bonus on any new ME2 game. It gives you 200k credits and 50k resources of each type, and 25% more exp.

Thanks for the detailed post! One question though; are you sure that the 100k bonus credits is a result of having maximum money at the end of ME1? Others have reported that all you need to get is the Rich achievement (1 million credits+) to get that bonus.
Also, does that ME2 completion bonus stack with the bonuses you get from importing a save game? So, for example, if I imported one of my ME1 save games, got my initial 150k credits and 10k resources, completed ME2, and then imported another ME1 save game with a different Shepard... would I end up with 300k credits and 60k resources?

Great info. Also, any details on what paragon/renegade bonuses you get based on your ME scores? I heard from a friend it's not simply a "all or nothing" situation where you need 100% paragon/renegade to get a bonus associated with that morality. Is it by the 'steps' on the scales? The actual number of points?

When I beat the game with my imported character, and start a new game+, will my new Shepard get the import bonuses in addition to the new game+ bonus?
