Dragon Age: Origins is like Mario! (the original one for the NES/famicon)



They both have a royal female! They both have hammers! Both have projectile weapons

and both final bosses breathe fire!



The point? all games are similar to past games. Just like all operating systems have a 'looks and feels like' of the OS's that came before them. All movies take from previous movies, all books from previous books, you really want to get into it you can say all games come from previous books (chose your own adventure books anyone?), or even table top games. Yes everything is going to feel like something else, but you have to learn to enjoy whatever it is your playing for what it is, and not try to see it for what it came from.
