Want :
- Every ME1 and ME2 LI returning as full squadmates. I needs moar Tali-mance! (and plz don't kill Tali off. That'd make me a sad panda:()
- Shiala and Gianna Parasini should be squadmates and LI's
- Legion should return as a squadmate
- New powers
- New weapons (c'mon lightsaber knockoff !)
- A more informative H.U.D. (shield/barriers and health)
- Armour for squadmates should return; static outfits are annoying
- Expand the armour customization to include the whole squad (it's too awesome to not share)
- Engineers Ken and Gabby; almost everything those two said was comedy gold (esp. Gabby telling Ken aboot Jack)
- Mordin should sing MOAR! (Best. G&S Rendition. EVAR!)
- Mako / Hammerhead. I actually liked driving in ME1; it needed tweaking, not to be cut
- A REAL inventory
- Items with stats; ME1's system just needed to be tweaked and trimmed, not cut out
- KoTOR 1 & 2 style weapons upgrades (heck, KoTOR style inventory
and weapon tiers too; you guys got it right in that game, so take a
page from your own book and appy it to ME3)

- More visor/scouter/helmet options; ME2's options were great, there just needs to be more of them
- More missions with husks; in ME1 they were merely annoying pests, in ME2 they're rightfully zombie-ish and damned creepy[smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/andy.png[/smilie](and annoying)
- Control the Normandy in a space battle. And  I mean CONTROL, not just giving orders in a dialogue
- Jumping. C'mon BioWare [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/joyful.png[/smilie]

DO NOT WANT:
- Scanning planets for resourcs
- Universal cooldowns
- Scanning planets for resources
- Ammo LIMITS; after I adjusted to the ammo system, I found I liked it except for the limit on my ammo. So decrease the ammo drops and raise, or get rid of, the max amount of ammo for certain guns
- Scanning planets for resources
- Squadmate outfits that are just re-skins of their normal outfits (bring back armour!)
- Scanning planets for resources
- Those stupid Cerberus "help" pop-ups; at least let me turn them off
- Scanning planets for resources
- Returning to the ship automatically after missions
- Scanning planets for resources

And just in case I was unclear: I HATED SCANNING PLANETS! DO NOT WANT!

Also, if Sheppard can heal up his face scars, why can't Garrus? And why can't Garrus REPAIR his armour? you expect me to believe that that was the only Turian armor in his size in the entire galaxy ? (of course
after all the armour I got in ME1 it just might be:P)

I really wish they can bring back some of the RPG elements in ME1. I like how you can customize Your own armor, but I'm disappointed that they took away the ability to equip new armors to your crew. Also, ADD MORE ARMORS AND WEAPONS!!!!

i would like to meet my mother before she dies of old age. also i think it would be pretty cool if after the main quest in ME3 you could choose to start over or start a family with your lover, i think that would be something cool to spend your time doing.

1). Larger Team:6 teamates to make up a unit while venturing.

2).More armor and weapon types.Throughout the entire game only got 1-5 pieces of armor types and 1-6 weapon types in a catagory. Having so little choices to choose from made it boring to me.

3).Teammate betrayal.

4).Liara has your daughter in 2 year period and is why she's not quite right and is why for some reason she wants the shadow broker.

5).Longer Side missions. Most the side mission on hard only took 5 or so minutes to complete and I thought it was a joke.only reason I did them is to try and get exp for lvl up.

6).Geth become allies to some and enemies still to other and having the option to change what happens.

7).Find a way to make collecting materials not a yawnfest.

8).Find other ways to use materials other then upgrades.

9).Option to control global relations between other civilizations.

10).Add rachni and other unknowns to fight the war against the reaper threat.

11).Give the Vorcha that aren't so good at a fight something to use so they can" exoskeleton mech so they can drive and go to war made by allied geth"?

12).Make the game longer.Seemed that ME 1 was longer to play then ME 2 was.

13).Add a Sims element into play like you did in NWN 2 where u get to build your keep up.While venturing collect things for your base of operations upgrading with materials and doing many quests that benefit the creation of bigger and better things.

I can keep going but I'll end it there.

I'd like to see the majority of squadmates from ME2 return,

Continuation of romances (personally completed the talimance, and not seeing her face was a letdown). It would make an excellent quest where tali later becomes sick due to removing her helmet, and you are forced to seek a cure back on the floatila. If she was exiled, then you might not have such a warm welcome. She can receive the cure, build up a small immunity because of infection, and is ready for the ME3 romance.

Another thing; ME2 seemed a lot darker altogether. ME1, however, felt it had more sexual maturity. Did you let FOX news get to you Bioware? Let's have ME3 be mature in all aspects.

The combat was excellent. Scanning wasn't. In the end, someone should look at some aspects of the game and ask themselves, "is this fun?"

More squadmate armor customization, along with toggleable helmets. For helmet design, realize that it's because they are too obtrusive that people are complaining about them. Maybe more glass-visor helmets/open faced helmets? Garrus' eyepiece is cool--Shepard's just clunky.

A followup with the Rachni.

Bring back as many characters as possible in playable roles. I am terrified they won't do this since potentially everyone but Liara could be dead. Meaning there could be a lot of work going in to characters that may or may not be available-- but to reward the longterm fans they really must do something.

Also, I want more RPGness brought back. Leveling up should matter more, which was not enough help in ME2. I love RPGs, hate shooters. I play Mass Effect for the story, not the gunplay. I admit sucking at shooters, but I never died in the first game playing on casual. I died tons of times in ME2 because I am not used to the whole hide behind cover, popup to shoot, rinse, repeat factor that apparently every ******* shooter in existence uses. Once I got that down, I died less, but still fairly often.

Also, get rid of as much tediousness as possible. The mako wasn't in itself bad, driving up 85 degree cliffs to find resources was the problem. In ME2, scannning planets was boring & too slow.

More non-combat missions, ala Samara & Thane's loyalty missions would be great.

And just for kicks, MORE HANAR!

This.

I'd also like Garrus, Miranda, Grunt, Tali, and Zaaed back (among others)

I'd rather them do away with the scanning of planets for resources. It was almost as bad as the Mako.

Let me thinks a bit. I want alot of things reverted to the way they where in ME1 first.

L3wTz - Bring back loot/weapon upgrades a la ME1, with a larger variety of weapons. It was misleading looking at the updates before release with all the talk about different kinds of Assualt Rifles, shotguns, etc when it turns out there is only one of each.

Levels - I liked the diversity and complexity of ME1 level system. Nuff' said.

Decryption Skill - I hated not being the badass inflitrator rogue from the first game. In ME2 even my grandma can be 1337. Its nice not having to worry about it and all but...its an RPG and its just missing that integral lockpick/hack tool.

The Mako - Just less boring, I want a badass Mako with rockets and lazers and cool fun junk that would be boring.

Exploration - Sorta goes with bringing the Mako back, just make it less boring...somehow...(moar gunz) *cough*

Zero G Fights - Do I need to explain how awesome and fun this would be?

Starship battles - Shepard takes the helm and delivers the kick ass with the normandy.

No scanning...please for the love of God. If it wasnt for the +50k you get for long service medal I wouldnt have three completed games now.

Thats all I can think of now, not to much new to add for me. Just bring back some things and I would be super happy.

I want the planetary travel/scanning system back, as well as the game play. I would like the weapon switch-out system to return too (need a weapon locker to change weapons). Beyond that, a bit more customization of weapons and armor. More gun/armor choices as well. Beyond that...I'd like to see all of the characters from ME 1 and 2 at least have a cameo (most returning as squad mates, at least for a few missions). It's also be really sweet to see a showdown between harbinger and the Normandy/Shepard's team on Earth.

I find it hard to believe ME3 will contain more than a few new faces as squad members. We've spent the last two games getting to know a whole slew of different characters. We've fought, laughed, cried, loved, and died together. Introducing a whole new squad along the same lines as ME2 just doesn't make any sense. I mean, it's the epic conclusion! There needs to be closure! How many great trilogies do you know of where they introduced an entire new cast of characters in the third act? They can't just pass off the fan-favorites and characters we've all grown to know and love as simple cameos like they did in ME2. The only reason they could do it this time around is because of the promise of them returning for ME3. That's no longer the case. I'm certain Bioware knows they can't pull this now, and knows that in the event we don't see our favorite characters return... there will be blood.

But what if they die in ME2? Since it seems that anyone can die in this game, it makes me wonder if we'll see any of them in the sequel. Our luck says Shepard will get separated from his/her crew again.

note: I'm not saying that I want that to happen. I really like some of the old and current squadmates. It just seems like a likely scenario. I doubt they'll want to create a storyline, combat set, etc for a character that everyone won't have a chance to use.

More convosations for you and squad mates, as many as possible.

More interaction between squad-mates, why can Shepard be the only one with buddies? It'd be nice to see them chatting on board the ship and stuff. It'd be cool if characters you chose not to romance could romance with each other.

All the characters from ME 1+2 to return, provided they are still alive.

More customisation of armour, mainly astetic.

Laughter- honest to god, I don't think Shepard laughs once in the whole game, make the squad more jovial please.

I want a scene where Shepard leads his team into the council chamber where the members of the non council races Tali, Grunt/Wrex, Legion and even throw in the Rachni asari agent to step up and say that they are the rep/ambassador whatever for their respective species and that they vouch for you and stand again the reapers.

It would also be nice for Shepard to give a nice speech saying " I warned you about Saren and you didn't believe me, I warned you about Sovereign and you didn't believe me and I even warned you about the Collectors and you still didn't believe me. How many have to die before you start listening."

hehe i know it sounds a bit over the top and my Shepard is Paragon all the way so it may have a different tone to it if you go renegade.

I have been a long time fan of Bioware games and of Mass Effect particularly. The reason I loved Mass Effect 1 was because it was a perfect blend between RPG and FPS. ME1 had meaningful character interactions, personal development, value choices, and rock hard combat that made you feel like you were on a mission and the fate of the galaxy really did hang on you and your actions and that is where ME2 fails.
Don’t get me wrong, I believe ME2 was a great game, but the sense of urgency was missing. Also missing was meaningful character interactions within the game. I think Bioware got too focused on the FPS side of the house and the RPG side took a hit. For example, I wanted to explore the backgrounds of the people I was working with and I rarely got the chance to do so. On the other hand, the ending between Ash and I was excellent. I felt like I had been kicked in the gut when she left me on the colonial world. That is a side of RPGs that is rarely explored, and that is a mistake in my opinion and that is where ME2 shined.
Actions have consequences and if the player never sees the likely end results of those choices then the game seems hollow. A real RPG should ****** you off and that is where ME2 really comes into its own. A FPS gets the adrenaline going, but an RPG plays your emotions like a harp giving you the good and the bad. With the above having been said, my recommendations for ME3 are as follows:
1. Find a way to wake up the galaxy to their peril. The commander is strong, but he can’t trash an entire fleet of AI dreadnaughts by himself and Cerberus.
2. Improve Character interactions. For the love of God make them more than 2 dimensional. I got a solid feel from ME2 that was what you were shooting for, and with Tali you succeeded. Give me more.
3. In ME1 I felt like I could explore a huge and diverse galaxy and that the Citadel was Humongus. Now, the galaxy has shrunk and the citadel only has three floors and a dock, oh yeah, and Anderson’s office. Please return that in ME3.
4. The banter and dialogue with Joker was great. Now that EDI is unleashed, please develop her in ME3. EDI feels loyalty to the crew of the Normandy and humor. What else does she feel? And please give us some avatar options for her. We do that for VI’s why can’t we have her choose an anthropomorphic avatar to enhance her identity?
5. More small unit tactics please. The end of ME2 was awesome and I have the greatest respect for the writers, programmers, artists, and support staff that gave us one hell of a fight and some damned good memories. Please give some more of that in ME3. Not a hell of a lot of it, but 2 or 3 critical battles leading up to the climax would be great. (see why knowing the backgrounds, strengths, and weaknesses of your team on the RPG side of the house is useful?)
6. Please just give me one space battle against anyone before the climax to show what the Normandy can really do. Let me make the calls on tactics with support from Joker and EDI if necessary, but I have to have some more. I’m sorry, but killing the Collector ship really made me proud of this ship and her abilities and I want to explore it some more. You opened the door so please let me through. In fact, you could amend it to one of those critical team missions mentioned in number 5. You gave us one hell of a ship and one hell of a crew, let us see what they are capable of in the context of the game.
7. Let us meet mom, or at least talk to her. Come on, coming back after 2 years dead and all that warrants is a bloody email? I think a woman who turned down a promotion to Admiral to honor her son’s memory would expect more than that from her son.
8. More unexpected events in the game. For example, the fact that Grunt got several breeding offers and the Commander got one from killing the Thresher Maw was great. Keep that up. Also, keep the people from the past active in the galaxy. The mission with Conrad Verner, and the fact that his wife encouraged him to go, was great. Keep that up.
9. Give us some real entertainment ground side. You have the dancing girls, give us the prostitutes. You did that in Dragon age and I see no reason why you can’t do the same with ME3. It adds to the seedy side of the galaxy. You almost had it with Omega station, particularly with the Morinth mission. I really liked the bar interactions in the VIP room. Please give us some more of that as violence, nudity, and down and out people bring the darker side of the galaxy to life. By the way, using prostitutes can potentially lead to disease and problems with your significant other get my drift? On the other hand, using prostitutes can be fun and engaging. You guys make the rules I just add suggestions.
10. We got a resolution with the Council, but we are still up in the air with the Alliance. The Commander was Alliance property and he was in command of an Alliance warship that was lost as a result of combat. An attack on an Alliance ship is an attack on the Alliance. The original Normandy was a ship that cost tens of billions of credits and I would think that the Alliance would want an accounting from him of what happened, where he stands, and where they stand. If I were the alliance, I would want to know what was up and I damn sure wouldn’t just take Williams word for it. Please resolve this in ME3.
11. Alenko was right, aliens can be jerks or saints, but it seems in ME2 they lean a lot more heavily toward jerks. For the Batarians, that’s fine, but let’s see a little more balance in the other species in ME3.
12. I realize that this post is extraordinarily long, but I have the vain hope that Bioware is actually reading these things so here goes my final recommendation: give us one hell of a story. I cannot emphasize this point too much. Excellent stories make for excellent RPGs and the FPS will take care of itself with the new technologies that you have introduced, but this is not Ratchet and Clank. It is Mass Effect. It is our job to defend the galaxy and its citizens and to win against impossible odds. The fact that the inhabitants of the galaxy are unaware or apathetic does not matter, nor does it change our responsibility. It is a responsibility that we cannot stand down from and we must not fail because the lives of trillions hang in the balance. You do what you have to do to win and the consequences be damned. I have done things in the game that I would never do in real life, but I don’t bear that responsibility in RL. That is why the RPG side of the house is more important than the FPS and it is why I felt an intense sense of joy and pride when ME1 ended. When ME2 ended I was sad, concerned, and apprehensive. I had defeated the Reapers once more, but I have a sense that the other shoe will drop soon. Such is the nature of black ops. In ME3, let me feel that amazing sense of pride again. Oh, and let me keep playing after the end as well.
Ps. I didn’t mention the romances in ME2 because they were far better than ME1. That being said, they can stand some improvement. Romance leads to deeper feelings. Please explore this in ME3. Also, please do something about the game economy. I am a soldier/operator not a miner or prospector.

What do I want to see:
1) More RPG elements: more nuanced dialog, less obvious paragon/renegade options.
2) Party influence, i.e. DA:O, where actions and dialogs would influence your companions and open up options not otherwise available, making decisions have more weight. Do you want to P.O. your companion off or not? Companion alignments/predispositions. Even though we’re a team, we’re not a big happy family, however with high enough paragon/renegade, we can change any party member’s mind… yeah, right.
3) Ability to customize party members beyond the choice of the less or more powerful gun. Maybe include the weapons locker for squad members and adjust their load-out there, armor, weapons, enhancements, etc.
4) More multi-stage and branching side missions. Decisions made in part 1 of a multistage mission means you can explore missions 2a and 3a or 2b and 3b, locking out one path or the other. More choices = more replay.
5) More interparty dialog. Again DA:O. Hilarious interactions based on characters selected.
6) An enhanced ammo system. If heat sinks are truly universal, why when I run out of ammo for my assault rifle can I switch to my sniper rifle? Heat sinks are either interchangeable, or not. Maybe heat sinks can be used to control the rate of fire, for example without a heat sink you get 2 shots with a sniper rifle before a cool down period, with a heat sink, you fire 2, overheat, pop in a heat sink and instantly get a heat reset. Just a thought.
7) More epic missions. Possibly multiple teams, running in parallel, where you control team A up to a choke point, then can switch to team B to get them out of the situation. For example: Team A is leading an assault and gets pinned down by snipers. Team B can flank and take out the snipers. Team B advances and gets trapped by a locked door. Team A can work their way around and unlock the door. Team A can set up suppressing and cover fire for Team B to advance, etc.
8) Larger maps: make them look less like a rail shooter level and more like an open world with multiple paths to reach the objective.
9) More useful resources: I was sitting on 70K+ Palladium, and couldn’t buy a 15K credit upgrade because I couldn’t sell my resources. If I can’t sell my resources, and buy the upgrade, at least let me research the upgrade with the resources I’ve collected. Which might lead to, buying schematics for, say 10%, of what it would cost to buy the actual upgrade.
10) I didn’t mind the Mako in concept, but the trying to drive up and down the mountains was pretty annoying, not to mention most of the landscapes weren’t especially interesting. If you’re going to make a big planet, put more than 1 or 2 things in it to make it worth exploring. It might be interesting to combine scanning with planet exploration. For example, scan the planet and find a couple of interesting features. Land your vehicle close by, and not half a planet away. You can either then drive to the other area of interest, or return to Normandy and re-launch close to the second point.
What I don’t want to see:
1) The “use” and “run” buttons having the same binding. Me: Run, run, run… oh look cover, I’ll just duck over here (doesn’t matter that I’m on the wrong side and being shot to death), instead of running past it. Or I’m running around and accidently focus on a person, which initiates dialog while I am still running. Which leads to…
2) Ability to manually duck. Ducking = bonus to hit enemies, and avoid being hit.
3) Cool-down for running while out of combat. I’m not sprinting out of combat, I’m just jogging really fast. I would pace myself.

Wants:

Infinite Ammo toggle (for those that want a shooter and those that don't)

Wrex as recruitable companion

More control over weapon training (being stuck with weapons that annoy your sentinel for half the game is no fun, let us pick weapons training much much earlier)

Directed Energy Weapons that look human-centric (i.e. particle beam weapons like the collector one that look like something the alliance would build)

Remove the pre-reqs for power training (needing throw 2 to get warp on a sentinel, for example)

The ability to kick the illusive man in his cybernetic family jewels

Inventory. Yes its important to rpg's.

Seperate control over armor stats and visual appearance. I would rather not look like some dorky ninja for a 5% damage upgrade.

Do Not Want:

More streamlining. Any more streamlining and the game will play itself.
