Look, I want to get all the achievements from ME1. With that comes the weapons and skill abilities. So it seems I need at least 3 playthroughs to get them all. My questions are:

-Can you change class with the same character (save file) in a New Game+ and all your experience and money keeps the same?

-What are the decisions that will affect your ME2 and ME3 gameplay? The ones from the First, Second, or even Third Playthrough?

This is my situation. Im like halfway through (1st playtrough with a Paragon Vanguard) But I heard that the best way is to complete it with a Soldier on Veteran, then pass the Assault rifle Bonus Talent to an Adept and then Biotix or Assault to an Engineer. So I'm considering erasing my Vanguard character to start with a soldier.

I know it's kind of impossible to finish Hardcore or Insanity with a completely NEW CHARACTER. So, what do you suggest me to do?

Thanks

- No, you are importing the character you beat the game with.

- The game generates a save file for every playthrough, and you can choose the one you want to import.

The only acheevs that matter are Rich and Power Gamer.

I wouldn't worry about any 'best' way to play the game. Frankly the game isn't hard enough to make it worth your while to sweat the small stuff.

As you may know when you unlock a power/weapon achievment that power/weapon becomes available as a bonus power to the next character you start. So I would just find a class you like, give it a power or weapon you like/enjoy and do a playthrough concentrating on achieving the storyline outcome you'll want for your ME 2 import.

If you don't know the classes that well, and want all the power achievments I'd say play an Engineer and an Adept back to back. That'll let you unlock all most all the powers. If you hate pistols play a soldier first and just concentrate on shooting enemies enough to unlock all the weapons for you to hand sown to your adept/engineer.

Good luck and have fun!

Speaking of which, right now my favorite combo is a Soldier who has the Throw ability. Any weapon plus the ability to toss guys aside = pure awesomesauce.
