I seem to have lost my search function >_> so forgive me if this topic has already been discussed ad nauseum elsewhere <_<

I know that equipment you want to keep to be used in Dragon Age: Awakening can be transferred. My question is, if this is only true of unequipped equipment that you keep in your backpack only? Or is equipment kept in either the campsite chest mod or the Warden's Keep chest also transferred over?

I would suspect it to be so, but I just wanted to double check anyway from a dev or someone almost as equally knowledgeable. :)

Thanks in advance!

Whatever items you have in your inventory will be transferred over so you'll have to go to your chest, pull out everything you want to keep, then save. When Awakening comes out, load up that save game and you'll have your stuff.

And maybe unequip all the good items from your companions, too.

Another interesting question is: What about mods (armour and weapons)?

Where's the problem? You can choose the save you want to transfer to Awakening. So, just load PostCampaign_1, go to the party chest, take what you want, save and load the save in DA:A...

Ehhh, I guess the problem is only if you're a hoarder like me >_> lol Even with my entire party equipped fully I still have 3 full sets of armor in my backpack, and two weapons I want to keep @_@

125 slots are not enough to take the most important things over to Awakening?

depends if you have actually that many space, as some can be missed, the most I got was120 midgame on one save, and my first character reached 110 near end game...

My first character only reached 110 inventory space at end-game too.  Damn that Ostagar quartermaster for not having a neon sign displaying "TWO CHEAP BACKPACKS AVAILABLE NOW, ONLY CHANCE TODAY!"  :crying:

I lost mine too, but you can put this in your browsers address line and search from there

return to ostagar items migrate... the rest don't -- not even blood dragon armor.................. but the worst disappointment is the two powers you get from warden's keep does not function and shows "class not found" or something...

i would have wanted to be the warden-commander with my warden commander armor from warden's keep..........................................................

To answer the mods question, from what I have seen so far, mods that had to be installed using DAModder or the standard DA Updater do not work in DA:A. Mods that were installed by unzipping directly into the override folder (i.e. hair styles, hair & eye colors, full nudity, etc.) still work.

Also someone has already come up with a mod that will let you keep the DLC. It has been posted in most threads that mention this "problem" so far, so I won't trouble myself to find it and post the link, as you can find it easy enough yourself if you try. Just be sure to follow the install instructions carefully.

Also, just know that you probably won't be keeping the DLC long into DA:A, since you will quickly find better stuff. If you ever played WoW, this is somewhat akin to the equipment jump from Vanilla to BC.

thanks for the hint... i'm trying it out now.

even if blood armor / warden commander armor gets under powered in awakenings i will still use it... why? because of the "provenance"

didn't play WOW but i did play NWN... so when i did play HOTU, it was a fun shock that the items got stripped from the start - but i still used them when i got the point inthe game where you can find them again.

Blood dragon armour and warden commander armour do not transfer over. Unless you want to fight your very first awakening battle in your undies, sell them and equip something else. No DLC stuff transfers (except Return to Ostagar)

King Cailan's armour will work as will Juggernaught, Effort, Legion and Diligence.

used the mod found on dragon nexus that allows item transfer...

best surprise of all is that warden helm / greaves / boots all upgrade to tier 9 when using the buy / sell thing at the merchant... warden commander armor remains at tier 7... but i don't care... still using it.

By the way some of the origin stuff can be bought or found in awakening (like yusaris or aohd).

But seriously, the awakening difficulty is far too low compared to your stuff and skills (come on, did you see the new runes and how cheap they are to craft ? I put survival on a char just to see de mob levels... there were lv 15 sometimes... guys, I'm sure it's possible to do the game bare handed and still pwn >.>).

Bioware seriously needs to add or rethink the high difficulty sittings (ToB, with the ascension & boss patches, was a real challenge, the char was a demigod, but so the foes).

'Tis a pity there are no mods for consoles =[ I have over 350 items that I want to keep.
All of them have unique names and descriptions, and I fall for them so easily.....
