I mentioned this in another thread similar to this but technically you do (or nearly do) point a gun in his face when you pose for a picture with the Paragon path.

I simply attributed it to that and Conrad being upset about your alleged death and then running into you face to face.

Eh, i was somewhat irritated by getting the Ren reaction to Conrad when I had gone paragon too. Though I was certain I had picked the right import....

I think the "Put the gun in my face" was a metifore(spelling lol) for turning him down.

You can literally shove a gun in his face as a Renegade option, so I'm not seeing it as a metaphor.

It could be lazy writing. For renegades this is what happened and for paragons this is a metaphor. Unlikely, but if BioWare PR sells it this way, they won't have to patch it Posted Image

I think it felt wrong. It's not how it went down and pretending and making up reasons why it happens like it does in Mass Effect 2 is just plain stupid.

I hope that hes not in ME3 because if he is then he would be different as if it was the paragon version I could react differently.

Yeah I kinda figured that this is what happened. I always though Conrad was a little off and tha he just kinda sorta lost it and his memories have "changed".

It's a little disappointing to be honest as there's the Sirta Foundation bug too, however I'm pretty sure that the bugs were already in the first game as you could hear reports Conrad got killed by Turians and the drugged scientists were massacred.

Such a shame because when I got to Omega and heard news reports that got some of the stories correct from the first game it was just so cool I had a smile on my face, then this kind of spoils it!

I think that those at BioWare have encounted many Conrad Verners over time. I suspect he is a character that they are very, very familiar with.

I don't know if a glitch is involved, but the way I viewed this was as follows:

Conrad is mentally unstable. very much so. You convince him to go "home" to his "wife," in the Paragon option in ME1, but if you pay attention to his dialogue in ME2, he obviously never had a wife and if he had a home, he since lost it (he digs out credits from crates).

In my Paragon import, he simply said I was a jerk to him (no gun mention), but his comment didn't seem like it was meant to be a reflection on the choices I made, but on his mental imbalance.

I wasn't awae that he was broken. Oh wait, in my game he tried to rescue some kids off the roof off a vehicle off some sorts and he fell off, got hit by several vehicles before landing in a trash compactor or turbine off some sort. So yeah, I suppose he is "broken" :P

Guess its my fault for shooting him in the foot.

LOL I C WHUT U DID DER:lol:!

You think he obviously never had a wife? I just got the impression she was as annoyed by his Shepard fanboyism as everyone else - "My wife was really supportive, she even bought me my ticket offworld!". The kicker was the bartender shaking her head in amusement behind him when he said it.

And yeah, I had that glitch too. He was pissed at me for putting a gun in his face when I went the Paragon route, same as the Sirta Foundation apparently never recovered from the massacre of their scientists, even though I didn't shoot a single one.

It's kind of annoying that they can get that wrong, yet it gets the amount of colonists you shot on Feros right. Shoot none, you find out the colony is thriving, shoot lots, you find out the colony fell apart. It's the same kind of deal. Then again, even if it did recognise my lack of Sirta massacre properly, I wouldn't be surprised to find that they were going out of business anyway. Their products were clearly the shoddiest on the market. "If you want to die a slow and painful death - buy Sirta!" "The Sirta Foundation, pay more, get less!", and so on.

I kicked him in the nuts. That was awesome. I wish I could watch that over and over again.

For a split second, it felt like everything was right in the galaxy.

Maybe he twisted his reality into believing that the picture he took of you was you threatening him?

I remember him saying that, but I assumed it was just his idiocy.

I'm not sure the issue is a bug. I mean, Conrad never struck me as very bright. Probably went home, saw his picture of Shepard holding the gun, and thought that's how it happened.

I was wondering why he was acting so strangely when he spoke to me. I was just thinking, "Did I really do all that?"

It had been months since I last played that ME1 character so I totally forgot what I did, but I knew I didn't shove a gun in his face. It's funny that BioWare talked about Conrad Verner so much and said he will react differently in ME2, and then they go and screw it up like this.

I got this error as well.

So I decided to roll with it: Shot him in the foot to set him straight (Despite being mostly Paragon) and then resolved the whole issue with the sting.

Next I hear Conrad's founded a Charity for wayward kids or something and all was well with the world.

Oh, yeah, this confused me at first too. I thought maybe for some reason my paragon Shepard did shove a gun in Conrad's face. I didn't think I did that but it had been awhile.

I don't think it was a glitch. That implies that there is dialogue besides what we hear. Maybe an oversight, maybe he's just mentally unstable (okay, the latter is true).

Suckage. Got both the renegade Conrad and the Sirta foundation bugs myself. Kinda sad as they got the Chairman Burns reparations and the Major Kyle Cult right.

Why the "Commander" part?

He was wrongly imported in my game, yes. I went Paragon, and he acted like I had shoved a gun in his face. What should have happened?

The same thing happened to me.  I met him in the bar and he was trying to be all bad ass saying that I was mean to him, but while I was still dealing with his assignment I was hearing news reports of him starting some sort of charity in honor of me to help the little kiddies.

It would be nice if they fixed it but... they never did fix the drugged scientists quest. In both ME1 and 2 it the news says everyone died, even if you saved the scientists.

Yup hopefully they fix it when he said i shoved the gun in his face i was scratching my head wondering if i imported the wrong shepard.

Me too!  I was sure I'd chosen the paragon option, and then he referenced the gun!  Man, I'm glad I'm not the only one...

...and again.  This was the other decision that ported over buggily for me.  Thanks to you as well for the post - I wouldn't have known others had this issue otherwise.

You guys are forgetting about that Asari Consort being run off world because her secrets got out (its in a news cast). So that makes 3 storyline choices that should be paragon.
