Remember when he took a picture of you? You didn't point the gun in his face but it was in front of his face no mater the direction you were holding it. Seeing at how delusional Conrad is, I think he took it personally XD

I found the problem. I was checking out the various "flags" in Gibbed's ME2 save editor, and found that my Paragon ME1 saves (different playthroughs) have Verner listed being "Intimidated" (gun in face) when the save is imported into ME2. I most definitely did not do that on my Paragon runs. I'll try a Paragon run with that unflagged when I am done with my Renegade run to see if that makes a difference.

I was hoping that there would be a way to edit those flags...

A small patch like the one desired by fans in ME1 concerning Garrus' f'ed up face? Unlikely.

Well, you can. All you have to do is unflag it.

Or if someone has found the entry in the save file, can you say what to look for in a hex editor? Thanks.

Seeing the bad continuity in regards to other ME1 choices it wouldn't surprise me if Verner was intended to act like he does regardless of how you treat him in ME1.

Not intended, you can flag him for the paragon option if you know what to set in a hex editor.

For those of us who don't know what to set and where, could you provide basic instructions?  And if there's a way to fix the other bugs mentioned in this thread, I'd be most grateful to learn of that as well.

I'm not the one who located what flag to set. Someone else did, and they haven't posted it yet.

So... does this mean that the bug isn't in ME2, but in how it's saved in ME1?

Then, I guess the 360 owners are messed.

If they had that kind of a bug in the first game then why did not not realize it when they put him together.

I wasn't awae that he was broken. Oh wait, in my game he tried to rescue some kids off the roof off a vehicle off some sorts and he fell off, got hit by several vehicles before landing in a trash compactor or turbine off some sort. So yeah, I suppose he is "broken" :P

Guess its my fault for shooting him in the foot.

The bug is that if you where nice to him in ME1, he acts like your where a massive ass to him.

Guys, At first I thought it was a glitch (Because I went Paragon). . . but now I think it's not a glitch at all but a joke. If you listen to what Conrad is saying it's actually a parody of what you're doing in Mass Effect 2.
I wouldn't hold your breath for a fix. I think it's scripted purposely to make fun of your Mass Effect 2 character :)

Update: Yeah. I think the reason Bioware hasn't responded to this is because it definately suppose to be a joke.

lol

Ooh, so there was a bug. I didn't actually remember how I dealt with Conrad, but I could easily forgive my paragon for loosing it for once. That guy is frigging annoying.

One of the hardest dialogue choices I had in ME2 was to decide whether or not to shoot him in the leg or not with my paragon.

LOL! I feel ya. I'm playing my super do-gooder Shep for my first playthrough, and I took a long pause when I saw that option.

I tried it. I unchecked "intimitaded Conrad", started NG+, did a speed run to Illium and I can confirm that there's absolutely no difference, Conrad still says the same thing

That means this isn't a bug, devs just decided to go that way with it
