Hey, I started up ME2 yesterday and entered the code that was within the case of the game. I also had a code from amazon because I had pre-ordered the product from there. I created an EA account so that I could redeem this code, however when I try to link my gamertag it says "Sorry, that Xbox LIVE Gamertag has already been taken. Please try another one."
I have another ea account which I created a few years ago but that has no gametags linked to it, the account wasn't even verified. So does that mean someone else has used my gamertag? Please any help would be really appreciated.

Ok now i'm hearing that the email that I used to sign up here must be the same as the email I used to sign up for my xbox live account, but here it said I need to have the same email as my EA account. Can someone please clarify this?
