First time I ran through the game's intro, I had not yet registered the game nor set up my DLC nor was I logged on to EA.

So after the first quest hub, as it were, I met that quest giver in gamp and I selected teh 'i will think about it option."       I never saw that NPC again.
Even after I had registered my game, done a complete reinstall (and since this is impulse, that means a complete redownload.) redeemed my DLC software, downloaded and installed the DLC, that NPC is not in my current game (at camp.)

Further more, I started a new game. And rushed through to the first campsite. And this time, the NPC did not even show up to begin with.
This means I can't access Warden's Keep at all.
As a prememptive, yes its downloaded, yes its installed, yes its enabled.
Also, yes the other DLC works. I can see my Blood Armour. I got my memory band/ grimore, so on and so forth.

Any help would be appricated.

EDIT: It has come to my attention that the Shale DLC does not 'start'
either. I say 'start' because I still get equipment drops for Shale and
I am guessing that is a Shale only DLC item. But I can't get to the
town itself.

did you look in your downloadable content, it was there when you first install your game. so if you did not download it . it should still be there.

I think you misunderstand what I am saying.

The DLC is installed. It shows up as installed in the DLC main menu. It shows up as installed in the DLC tab in my journal.

For all intents and purposes it is installed. In fact ALL OTHER dlc works just fine (well, I have not come across shale yet, but I assume he is there.).

Despite this, the Warden Keep quest giver is not there. So I can't start the Warden's Keep quest.

I have the exact same problem, and I've been looking for an answer for two days now... can somebody please shed some light on this?

Well, it would seem that NEITHER my Shale DLC nor my Warden DLC work right now.

I know I have them both because I bought the Digital Deluxe edition which has them both. I redeemed them both, I downloaded them both, I installed them both and I have enabled them both.

I have access to neither.

It's weird. I saw some other guy say that he had the same problem, but the NPC appeared after he completed the Daelish part of the main quest... I tried, didn't work. Pretty annoying...

So I am guessing this is not a regular bug. Can I get some dev help anyway?

So do you access the Shale DLC through the worldmap? In that case, it's not working for me either...

In my game the Shale area on the map and the Warden's Keep quest NPC are randomly there or not there. It's really weird.

Shale worked fine for me. The Warden's keep quest NPC will not appear, though. Still can't find a fix.

This is getting depressing. Is there a debug code to forcibly spawn NPCs or something?

Anyone have a problem with the fact that we pay 69$ for the game (xbox for me) and that the game is not complete, that we need to pay more to get quest, if I knew that the game was like that I would not have bought it, I find this completely ridiculous, I can understand that EA would do that, but not bioware

Darth, please. We have separate problems. These DLC are in fact, DLC. Its not content that in the game when it was first finished....in February. /shrug.

Further. The quests seems to be active now after I applied patch 1.01a. But i also spoke to EA, they did something to my account or the other, I also reinstalled the game. So as a troubleshooting notation, I am not quite sure what fixed it. It could very well disappear again.

I haven't installed the game yet, but after reading some of the posts, I'm expecting a lot of issues.

To those with problems, I think it's unfair to ask for a solution immediately. I realize it's frustrating to deal with that stuff, but with the limited number of developers and the large number of issues and complaints, you can't expect them to answer each and every request within a day or two. I can guarantee you they are working extremely hard to fix various issues, most likely in order of importance. Some of the issues I see are more important than being able to start a quest (such as not being able to open the game at all, or a high number of random crashes). Please be patient...they will fix problems as soon as they can. Every application developer goes through this. That's not to say don't report an issue, but don't expect immediate responses and a solution at the drop of a hat.

Oh it can be worse. I have the npc in camp, he tries to give me the quest, goes to mark it on my map and...it doesn't mark. He's standing there like he never tried to give it to me (wardens) I try to repeat it and the same thing happens over and over again. As for the Shale quest, I got the control rod from the guy but the town shale is in is *not* marked on my map, leaving me high and try with this one as well. Blood Armor and the others work fine.

I have the same issue. NPC for warden's keep offers me the quest. DLC is enabled but he simply won't mark the quest on my map to allow me to start it. The NPC for the golem quest is there, I visit him, we have a chat and he offers me the rod ( which I take ) and says he'll mark my map. Then he goes. And of course there is nothing on my map and he's gone.

That's 2 character saves with 12 and 16 hours gameplay that I have had to abandoned because the DLC content quests simply will not work as designed. FYI the extra content items work fine.
