 So I just finished my playthrough and got everyone out but Tali and Thane.  Tali I sent through the vent to open the door. She died when her suit was compromised by the bee-from-hell. Pretty powerful moment and pretty cool. Shep had a soft spot for her.

But....

I had Tali's full loyalty, even siding with her against Legion -- though I then told Legion I was on his side and here merely lied to Tali (my Shep is an ass) -- and she croaks. I'm reading the Official Strategy Guide and it says that she'll live through the door mission if you have her loyalty.

Now on my game, I already had the Grunt loyalty bug. I'd gotten Grunt's loyalty, was able to change his costume but his Awesome Super-Power Tree never opened up.  There's another thread somewhere with a developer checking that out.

My question is is this another bug? Or is the book wrong? Or is there another hidden variable that hasn't been disclosed yet?

I'm not complaining. I really enjoyed the game  -- and the deaths. 

Okay, if I enjoyed the character deaths, maybe it's not just my Shep who's an ass.
