I know there are a lot of reviews out there, and I'm not going to clutter up the forums with another one. I just want the opinions of those players who have already completed Mass Effect 2 at least once.
IF YOU HAVE NOT COMPLETED THE GAME, I DON'T WANT YOUR OPINION HERE. Post it in the stickied reviews thread.
So for those who have completed the game, what do you think, on a scale of 1-100? Please, only the score and maybe a very short reason why; put your detailed reviews in a thread for that.
I rank ME2 at 95. Great story drew me in, graphics great, negative points took getting used to but weren't so bad in the end.
For those who have finished the game

Honestly, a 100 from me.
Like you said, great story and GFX, but it was the end game that really blew my mind. I'd never been so nervous about a game in my life. Really well done.

I give it a 100. Because for a sequel it really improved on the "sore" points of the first one. The new team has a great story for each member, at least for me they seemed better flshed out than the previous one. I like the scanning mini-game, though at first I didnt do so well at it. The tips on the sticky helped. But what I liked the most was the Geth member, Legion. That character alone did it for me on entretainment value.

This is probably the best single player game I've ever played, but I'll give it a 97 because I think the overall story is a little less engaging than the first. That said the squadmates are exponentially more interesting in my opinion. Combat is improved and the variation in side missions are welcome.

I give it a 98. Love the story. It was one of the best stories and one of the best games i have played in a while. The whole game is tons of fun. I love hearing and having people talk about the events that happened in ME1 and how all those events carried over. This game is addicting and was very gripping. After I beat the game, i started another one right away. The over all story arch is great, along with each characters side stories. I give it a 98 because there a couple things I missed from ME1. I personally like having a inventory system, and love when you find a sweet cache of some awesome weapons, unlike in this game we just find some credits. I also like having more control over the different weapons and armor on my squad. Along with that I felt there was no real need to add the heat sinks into the game. It didn't take away from the combat, but I didn't feel it added anything either.
Great game and is easily in my top 5 favorite games

90 - main con for me was shallow main story line - i mean, if there is no team building it would be like 1 planet in ME1

I rank the game at about 97. There were a few things that bothered me, but not much. The big thing that bothered me is the lack of three things.
Armor options: the pieces that you can select.
Weapon Choices: Assault rifles, hand cannons, all that other stuff.. not much selection, very disappointing looking at the same model the entire game.
Lack of Money: Ok, it wasn't a complete LACK of money, but it sure would have been nice to be able to say..... sell resources or SOMETHING to get more money. I hated going to shops and finding cool **** to buy, but can't cause i'm broke. I think that there was still maybe 1 or 2 items that I could not purchase by the end of the game. Ah well...
The game itself was definitely impressive! I loved the sound, the feel, the gameplay the abilities the graphics. THe dark undertones. The game was definitely second to none. I thought the first was good, but ME2 just down right ROCKS! LOVED IT!!!

95 This game could have really suffered from middle franchise syndrome, but i think they did enough to flesh out how the world has changed and where its headed. It's an improvement gameplay wise for me. I really enjoyed the weapon progression system. Overall it left me wanting more. Not bad for the empire strikes back of the series. Really though I'll have to wait for the third one to truly validate the worth of this one.

hmm i would say around a 70 from me.
dont be ****y but i hate that they cut out alomst everything i liked about the orignal game. it makes a decent shooter game but for me the choices in game arent worth the time to make them.

Great game but several things could be better
exploring ie the citadel has become one office and some stores.
The landing shuttle....HAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHA
Buying fuel. Really? why? just one reason why. none?
Scanning for minerals........ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
There's alot of interaction with your team but not alot with random people no random jobs like in #1 hunting down crime lords or finding the keepers
Yes we got letters from people we interacted with from #1 but never met them.
What about visiting places we saw in #1 and seeing how they've changed, how they've grown. we've been gone two years afterall.
As a whole it makes the game seem much more linear than the first.
Yes you had gorgeous visuals, great story, and all choices that were needed to make #3 epic where all taken care of. But our ability to explore new planets and locations was limited. Yes the mako had driving issues but it let us explore, jump off cliffs, blow stuff us and see increadable landscapes we could explore.
So the game was two cds so what. let us explore and discover and do everything. Use more cds if you have to it's ok.
Over all i guess it;s that the sence of adventure was there but not the sence of discovery.
Still an amazng game and i will be replaying it many many times.

Easy 90. Scanning for minerals was a bit of a drag, especially when you need so much platinum, but find SO much Palladium. Also, there was a noticeable lack of side-quests, compared to ME1. But truly, awesome game.

If you are a blind fanboy, you will say it is 100.
If you actually look at this game objectively, you will say it is a 80.
You are on the wrong forum to be asking whether people like the game or not. This is fanboy central.

I'll give it a 78. The game disappointed me in a lot of ways, mostly in its dumbed down RPG elements, removal of exploration and completely indifferent morality system.
Exploration has been replaced with a planet scanning mini-game and a few extremely short and pointless corridor shooter missions. It needed fixed, not removed. The Hammerhead was supposed to replace the Mako with better transportation and the locales were supposed to be fewer, but more diversified. We got neither.
Paragon and Renegade decisions are now much less separated. Most the Paragon choices have little real "righteousness" attached to them, and several of the Renegade choices hardly qualify as Renegade.
Love Interests are now sex interests. The relationship development and neutral options are gone.
It is great I can customize my armor now, but one armor with four options? Where are all ME1's goodies, mods and upgrades? The upgrade system in ME2 feels like it is doing nothing. Where are the weapon specs and different manufacturers? We had selection in ME1, we lose it in ME2.
The game has several fixes I am grateful for. The new lighting and textures are awesome. The improved animations and voice acting are also welcome. Being able to curve powers was an excellent idea. All the new locales are great, though much smaller then I had hoped (ME1 had a nice mix of open outdoors and cramped corridors, ME2 is only the later). Finally being able to morph your powers into a cumulative super power is cool too.

What the hell are you talking about, the romances in this game are way more developed than ME1.The relationship development and neutral options are gone.

I miss some of the deeper RPG elements, but they still got in a good balance, but really the story is why you play this game.

I say 8/10. I had a lot of fun with it but it NEEDS more dialogue. New combat system is pretty well done. The interrupts are a plus as well. All it needs is more dialogue between you and your crew and I would give it a 10/10.

It had flaws, many flaws. I could probably right a long list of the things that they could have done better. But I completed the game in 2 sittings. One that lasted 16 hours and the other that lasted 14 and all I want is to start it again. Shepard (female) totally kicks butt with the voice acting and the facial expression. Best time I've had in years.
Hated the helmet always being on with Inferno/Blood Dragon Armors though...

95'ish. The relationships and characters were far more complex and interesting than the ones in ME1, contrary to what Frraksurred states. Love Interests are now sex interests? I think not. I ended up choosing Thane, and the romance was deeper and more rewarding than what happened with Kaidan. The scene before the suicide mission cemented that for me.
As for negatives: there are a few bugs like enemies getting knocked to odd places where you can't destroy them, and no, I don't like that on my PC version I do not have normal hotkeys for the journal, etc.
Otherwise, I enjoy the changes for the most part. People might whine about how things are done now, but let's face it - the mission areas are bigger than the ACTUAL mission areas you had in ME1 (I specifically refer to mission buildings) and there's a lot more visual variety. I also do not missing omnigelling a bazillion useless items.

98. Still has a few cringe-worthy glitches, such as some of the eye animation, getting stuck in mid air when approaching boxes, and the frakkin' Conrad Verner bug.

I don't remember any bugs in mine, just the occasional glitch... everybody has brought up good points, like the unique missions, visual variety, graphics, deeper romance relationship, the ridiculous scanning mini-game, etc.
I'm actually surprised we haven't had more negative reviews, considering how whiney some people have been. Must be that none of them finish the game, I guess, or they are like me, and 90% of their complaints disappear during the first play-through. I appreciate that people aren't flaming each other, too!
