Someone did not give much though to how this would work...
Imagine you have an exisiting Bioware Social account which you may have created for DA:O, you also have BD armour as well from the collector's edition.
Then ME2 came out and you have a cerberus code.
In game you are prompted to create an EA account for cerberus redemption. You do that in game. Successfully redeemed in game.
You go to access content and it bring you to the Bioware Social site.
You can log in with your EA account and then when prompted use your BIOWARE account nick by entering the password. Not switch accounts or anything but use a display nick from your Bioware account.
It is not obvious but you are then logged out of your EA account and into your BIOWARE account instead. The nick changes to confuse you even more.
So, If you redeem your pre-order codes on THIS account it isn't linked to your EA cerberus enabled account and you miss out on your content which is now of course locked to the wrong account.
That happened to me and I am rediculously careful with this DLC stuff. Just GG whoever was the nublet who coded that.
I lodged a ticket with EA, who knows when they will get back to me. I guess this post serves as a warning, also I hope Bioware read this and add account linking capability in the future.
logging in with EA account, using BIOWARE nick...

The piece they don't explain very well is that your Bioware Social Network account is an EA account, so if you already have a Bioware Account you don't need to create an EA account when they ask for one in game, you just need to login with the email address and password associated with your Bioware account.
Once you end up with two accounts and content redeemed to both of them it becomes a nightmare that requires EA support to sort out.

or you could log in with your existing EA account in ME2, like most of us who had already signed up for DA:O did....
