The following site features are disabled until we find a way to fix them without bringing the site to its knees:
  • forum search.  disabled entirely for now.
  • home page activity list - currently set to show the public activity feed (same for all users) rather than a personalised feed.
We will post updates when these get re-enabled.

Just turn off the freaking search box. I spent 20 minutes over 3 days trying to serach this damn forum.  Why have a serach box and search button that TAKES YOU TO A FILTER SCREEN if the feature is "off."   Change teh UI.

Impossible to grant membership either.

What's going on with the bioware social network ? Everything was fine before the release :)

So the game was released without a fully functional support forum....seriously???? The lack of  a working search function is just ridiculous!

Glad I clicked the right button to get here--I love using search and not posting extra threads without reason. PLEASE consider a sticky at the top of each sub forum that search is disabled! Thanks so much.

What use is a Forum without a Search function?  Seriously are we supposed to weed thru thousands of threads looking for information are should we just post duplicate and triplicates of questions and answers.  Sad, the forums will be a complete mess with this function disabled.   Anyword when it's going to function again

I know it's not the Mod's fault and that they are having a hard time with all the issues following Dragon Age - but why exactly isn't the forum then given more resources by Bioware?

They released a game that clearly hadn't been properly tested, so it can't really come as a surprise that the 100s of thousand people who feel ripped off goes looking for spport or aid to make their game work..

Luckily the Dragon Age pages are on top so not hard to find it just leaves you with a bad taste in your mouth when first you are paying for a broken product and then are followed up by virtually no support from neither Bioware nor EA..

Man I could kick myself - buy some consoles I did, promissed never to go trough the mess that are PC gaming again i did and yeay 8 hours on support forums and sites over tha last two days because I just had to give a PC game a chance - oh joy!

hey jesse about your quote "No software survives first contact with the end users." seems more like it should say "No software survives first contact with the end users WITHOUT PROPER AND EXTENSIVE BETA TESTING" a thing i feel game companies lacking in of late

Indeed... I've been thinking I am stupid or something for nothing return in my searchs for the past 5 days.  I would never have guessed it was "disabled" since it is there on top of the page and it takes me to a filter. I was blaming Firefox for not reading the page correctly...  I was blaming by lack of knowledge of the english language and using it to form good search strings...

C'mon Bioware... take the damn thing out of the website until it works!

while you're at it, add a delete post option too.

And I agree--hide the search bar until it actually works

I agree with the hiding the search bar if it's going to be disabled for a while. But there really should be a message on the search results page to say it's currently disabled. I mean how lazy are the web developers? Just seems very amateurish.

If the search function is disabeled, then you should say so in the search results or remove the search input.

ah this explains why I searched my *** off and got no results at all. Some hint when displaying the "search" page would be nice as it still looks fully functional

If you suck at computers maybe you should have gotten a console version.  I have had 0 problems with anything from Bioware, just like normal from them.  Sorry for you, but get over yourself, the product isn't broken - you are.

Well, well...... I am SO glad to read that I'm not going crazy.

Being unable to search is a major problem, but I'll say no more than that because at least SOMEONE is aware of it and working to correct it.

The choices were forum search, or no website - we chose to remove the one so the other could work at all.   Now that things are settling back down, we will be re-enabling those.

Please add a way to search groups! I am trying to find if there is a DA group for my home state of Pennsylvania but I don't have time to go through 400+ pages of groups, one by one LOL. I'd make a PA state group but I am afraid there may be another one out there. Thanks in advance!

P.S. A search group function please! =)
