It's not in her character, end of story.Saskuatch wrote...
who here wants this to happen, I thought it was so lame this option wasn't available in this game, it seems like they almost included it because Tali does do some flirting with femshep but doesnt go any further,

But she already told me that she'd love to "link suits" with me!

So let's add another question.
Male Shep and Wrex? I want M/M krogan action.
Maybe I'm too old and don't get these ideas, but why are some of you guys obsessed with lesbian interspecies sex with aliens?

Shala Raan linked suits with Tali's mother, doesn't necessarily mean they love each other.

I have to disagree here, Tali shows nothing but love for Shepard regardless of gender. Quarians have a deep respect for captains as well so I think F Shepard could bludgeon herself into a relationship with power and coercion. Not a storybook romance by all means but I do believe that F Shepards could take advantage of Tali.

I am not seeing, there is a great respect for Shepard to be sure but if you don;t swing that way bludgeoning just sounds like some form of emotional rape...Lord Atlia wrote...

I just go with the facts given, if she was meant to be bisexual they would have written her that way.RVonE wrote...

Also, I'm not saying that it will happen. It's just that I don't agree with you that it isn't in her character; as if she has a fixed character that exists on its own.

I think that was just wishful thinking on many people's parts.
Edit: I think she does have a fixed character, a set of traits that we can say is Tali and not Tali. Just as they can be applied to Wrex, or any other character. Even Harkin's role in ME2 is consistent with his portrayal in ME1. Liara breaks some of her mold but that is because she had some traumatic events happen to her.

"Why can't my female shepard romance Tali!?" Why can't she romance Miranda!? Why can't she romance Jack!?" Why can't my male Shepard romance Thane? Why can't he romance Garrus or Jacob!? Arrrhghgh not fair!!!!
Come on, it's like no one in the game can just be heterosexual anymore. Geez louise.

Actually this is some what what I mean, a predatory F Shep is in perfect position to take advantage of Tali, not that it would be a healty relationship by all means, they may grow to love each other or Tali maybe depressed but intimidated by F Shep.

Inclined to agree with both of you. Quite frankly a loyal Tali would probably do quite a bit for you if you asked her and had the right talky skills, but at a certain point it literally does become taking advantage of her.Naltair wrote...

That isn't to say I think thet it would be impossible for her to love female Shepard without going that far just that I feel it would be wrong ethically (setting aside the "not a real person video game character" argument at least) to do such forcefullness if you had to.
Although with my female Shepard, if anything it would be the other way around. XD

It was there choice, that does not make them ******. They have had homosexual relationships before in AAA games like Jade Empire or Dragon Age it was a decision they made and I can respect them for that.Saskuatch wrote...
it has nothing to do with her character its the fact that bioware are ****** and don't want bad press for having a gay relationship, asari dont count because they are asexual. Even the voice Actor for male shep said that he recorded scenes for a male/male romance but it never made it to the game....
Calling them ****** is laughable when the evidence does not support your claim.

What is it with people wanting everyone to be ****** or bisexual? Hello! Not everyone is, most aren't.

The problem is not that "no one in the game can just be heterosexual anymore" but that there is not a single same-sex romance option in the game.

You are seeing prejudice where there is none, I am just saying from a personal reference point there can be a vibe especially when things get intimate and close that one can pick up on unless one is hiding that trait specifically for fear of being ridiculed or disappointed or something. But this is beyond the scope of the game, within the game she just seems "normal" and I am sorry to say this for me normal means heterosexual. If that offends you I apologize but that is just what I feel is the most normal sexual orientation.Saskuatch wrote...
and you guys are saying she doesnt portray and lesbian character traits, have you ever met one in real life? they are not going to be a stereotype, most of the time you wouldnt be able to tell if someone was gay or lesbian because they would just be normal people
I could be way off base but the argument is moot she is not a bisexual choice and that was their decision and I am fine with it. I am sorry if that does not suit your particular needs though.
