Tali. Interupt hug. 'Nuff said.
Actually, scratch that. Tali's entire mission, along with Jack's, and Miranda's, and the entire suicide mission where I was flipping out in trying to save everybody while dealing with the extreme plot twist and cliff hanger at the very end, and...
Ah screw it. The whole damn game is pretty emotional. Oh Bioware and their 'Dark Second Acts.'

The one speech that you give after you return from the Alarei on tali's loyalty quest... the one that convinces the admirals without the evidence... intense.

as has been said to death already, finding tali's father. i got choked up a bit too. not just a little bit, but a fair amount. had to actually walk away from the computer for a little while. the voice actress for tali in that scene was phenomenal.

second was waking through the normandy crash site, but moreso reading pressly's data pad lying on the ground. walking around collecting dog tags wasnt fun though, and that hit me kinda hard being former military.

I like when Sheppard looked at his ME1 Love interest picture just before the mission

Probably when Tali found her father's body (and the paragon interrupt that followed).  That was pretty deep for me.

I have to say the most emotional moments for me were when my Shep hugged Tali when her father died, the romance scene with Tali, when Mordin died in my first playthrough, and when I thought Tali died aswell.

EDIT: When I thought Tali died was the MOST emotional, I was literally going "no no you can't be dead! get up!" :( very emotional.

This so emotional. I like how she curses too....I dont know why I like that but she said it in a crying voice and it just made me feel so sympathetic to her.

Wow. Just hearing all of these makes me want to play again. A lot of the stuff you guys are saying didn't even happen to me during my playthrough. (Kelly seriously does a stripper dance??) I didn't take a love interest because I was trying to remain loyal to Liara from ME1. All of my people survived the "suicide mission." For me, the most emotional moment was the beginning when the SR1 gets destroyed. When I stepped on to the bridge and saw that the roof had literally been blown off of the ship I seriously got chills down my spine. It was like my home had just been destroyed before my eyes, know what I mean? The final mission is a close second to my most emotional moment. None of my people died as I said before, but it was just REALLY intense.

Two emotional moments...one bad, one good.

[*]My biggest disapointment was with Tali.
Now don't get me wrong, I was absolutely thrilled when I found out I
could start a relationship with her!  But I felt more than cheated when
we ended up (once again) staying in our clothes and I don't even get to see her face (regardless of seeing the rest of her).
If I'm supposed to be Shepard then I should get to see what Shepard is
seeing.  He got to see her face, why couldn't I?  And I think that's
the crux of it all...when you make the player feel disconnected from
their character thats when you loose the player. Needless to say, I was a tad bit pissed.
[/list][*]At the beggining of the game when the Normandy blows up and you see Shepard die.  The funny thing is I saw this footage at E3 last year.  After it was done playing everyone's mouth just dropped...even though I asked if this scene was just a "what-if," the host wouldn't tell anyone.  Looking back now I see why he was smiling so much, just knowing this was the start to their game.

Final mission with any lost members was the hardest to swallow. I wish there wasn't achievement for perfect final mission so that feeling could linger and chase me to ME3. I was so pissed at the Reapers at that point, the thing you're supposed to feel as Shepherd.

Tali's whole loyalty mission for me.

Also telling the Illusive Man I don't take orders from him anymore at the end. It felt good to tell Cerberus to ****** off.

Two moments had tears forming in my eyes and both of them involved Tali. The first one was of course when we find her father dead the geth occupied ship. And the second was when she shared the "non classified" information with Legion. I loved the smile on Shepard's face.

Anything with Tali.

Seeing Shepard not only tell the Illusive Man to screw off, but making it out of the Collector base with everyone alive.

Thane's romance cutscene is rather emotional, too. I mean he spent so much time getting his life in order and accepting his death and then femShep comes and blows it all to hell. And now he doesn't want to die, again he's not ready to die. So sad. :(

The end of the game is obviously pretty emotional. Even if you get through it without any deaths, it's pretty intense.

Oh hell yes.

It was a big "**** YEAH" moment to watch the Normandy 2 shrug off that Collector particle beam, unveil the Thanix Cannons and carve through the ship that killed Normandy1 like a hot knife through butter. Payback is a ****, ain't it? =]

Seconding entire Tali mission. While the hug interupt is certainly worth mentioning, there's also that one vid log of a Quarian's message to her son/daughter. "Mommy loves you!" moments before getting blasted.

Ouch.

The conversations with Thane in the aftermath of his loyalty quest...and him realizing he should've been around for his son instead of going after his wife's murderers. They named his achievement 'cat's in the cradle', very apt.

When I found out what Liara had done for Shepard, how desperate she was not to lose him, I was moved. Her voice carried the echo of despair.

Tali, of course, was perfect. After the end, when you invite Tali to your cabin and cuddle her on the couch (if she was your love interest) was great, because by that point that's what you want to do with that character - hold her and keep her safe.

The voice actors all did such an amazing job with this game - they brought an immediacy and reality to the characters that brought the entire world to life and made it seem real.

I thought visiting the Normandy crash site was pretty emotional, but I haven't beaten the game yet. RIP XO Pressley!!!!

When the Normandy was attacked and boarded by the Collectors. I had control of Joker and stopped at the first door, staring in horror as one of them took down my crew one by one. I was saying "Sh*! Sh*! Sh*!" at the same time Joker was.

When Tali discovered her father's body. When dialogue choices came up (and from there I would console her), I just slumped in my seat, horrified and feeling a strong sadness.

And almost every exchange between EDI and Joker made me happy, especially at the end when she referred to their relationship as platonic amongst other things when Shepard asked if they were romantically entangled. And Joker's reply, "Yeah, that was kind creepy." I LOL'd so hard I had to play through it again. It was priceless. My favorite line of the game.

Choked up a little bit when Wrex saw me on Tuchanka and knocked his guards out of the way to greet me...yeah, Wrex was by far my fav character from ME1. Also, couldn't help but smile (I may or may not have actually cheered a bit) when Joker unveiled the new Normandy...

This might come off as kind of lame, but...Garrus was my tech specialist. He was helping me close the door, and as we were doing so he got hit in the face, and died immediately.

I was thinking about how Garrus is my Shepard's oldest living friend at that point in the game. He met Tali after he met Garrus (and wasn't quite as close with her), and Kaidan was pissed at my Shepard for working with Cerberus.

Seeing Garrus die in such a...I mean he'd done his job right and everything :( I'm genuinely sad right now haha, I just completed my first playthrough about twenty minutes ago.

I lost Garrus and Legion, and I feel like I may have lost another but I'm not positive.

Legion, even though I liked him a lot...Sentient or not, I didn't feel bad. He got dragged away by the seeker swarm. He was one of my most powerful squadmates, but I didn't feel that bad when he got dragged away. Thank God Grunt didn't get dragged away, I would have been a wreck haha.

But yeah. My most emotional moment, losing Garrus. By far.

Seeing Jack lead me through her old cell and talk about each object/blood splatter was also a really emotional moment...And everything involving Jacob! I was thrilled when he turned out to be as reliable as I had hoped.

Not lame.  That right there...my heart aches for you. (Depending on who you are, I guess that makes ME lame: Deeply sympathizing with a stranger over the internet about some character who isn't even real...but that's so sad.)

I appreciate the empathy bud. I was shocked by how much that moment impacted me. My mind went back to Garrus at the end of ME1, to finding him in on Omega, and to his conversation with me about how he related to the woman with whom he was sparring. His sense of humor in ME2 is vastly improved, but I don't think it was absent in ME1...it just seems like he has grown up so much, and become a genuine friend of Shepard.

Seeing him die as a result of the Harbinger simply waving his hand was horrifying.

I won't let it happen again, definitely not.

Also when Tali found her father, I was very sad.
