Game Crashes (digital deluxe pc version)

(sorry something messed me up)
Ok on my version of ME 2 (steam version) the game crashes in 2 places
1. The cab to Asari Justicar freezes during the loading screen
2. Right after the collector ship (after closing the mission report) the game just loops in the loading screen and when i look at it in task manager, it says ME 2 is not responding.
I've read other threads and i haven't seen anything "similar" i don't think its a hardware issue as i have a
AMD 3.4 quad core processor
Nvidia 9800 gt 512 mb graphics card
4 gb ddr 3 ram
Window 7 64bit
And also i get minor glitches here or there buti usally find a way around them,
PLEASE HELP
