Easy, chicks don't put as much stock into looks as dudes do - and thank Keelah for that!  It is for precisely that reason that guys nab girls who are "out of their league."  Think to yourself, when was the last time you saw a girl snag a guy who was out of her league?  We're just shallower than we care to admit.

IMO, nothing justifies being a deadbeat father, and I loathe that Bioware recycled the Carth backstory yet again for Thane, not to mention the terminal disease. Knowing that the devs made Thane specifically for women seems kind of head scratching when you hear his story. I would never want a guy who knowingly abandoned his son, and I don't enjoy being compared to dead wives. I do hope they write a cure for Thane into ME3, for those who like him, but he's not my style at all.

Not a Thane fan either, my fave male LI is probably Kaidan, not that there's really many contenders. I do like Garrus somewhat as an LI (mainly because I like the Garrus character), but Jacob and Thane are meh. I do prefer Thane over Jacob though, that kid has a weird mouth and crossed eyes, and no personality to speak of.

This I'm not a Thane Fan either. However, I can understand that people do like characters that are like him.....  I agree that out of all the Love Interest Kaidan is my favorite. However Garrus is  my second choice for my romance free Me1 play through.


Jacob is dead last on my list. No woman. likes to be called a prize, and second best.  <_< Who ever wrote the Jacob romance should be slaped by his girlfirend.

added: Thane Is no where near fish like, scales, comes from a desert world the fact that his disease is attained from too much humidity ALONE establishes hes not even close to being amphibian , the damn air sac in his mouth (as described in his info) is akin to reptiles NOT fishes, the fact that he has multiple eyelids draws him closer to reptiles than fish so...honestly (and no disrespect intended) if you say Thane is a Fish Go back to 5th grade PLEASE...

Although I agree with you I wouldn't think too much into it. I don't understand why women are attracted to men either. Maybe it's because he's rich. Is he rich?
