I am having an issue some others are also having. At the moment, I've been copy/pasting
information from my PayPal account into the fields of the points-buying
page, but at the last stage, I get the error that "Something went
wrong". Tried three times, but just can't get it to work. I've selected
Netherlands as my country on the points page, and that is where I actually am.

I do not have a credit card linked to PayPal, only a bankaccount.

How can this issue be resolved? Thanks for any reply.

Katsu, send me a message with your login email.

also let me know if your billing country matches the Netherlands as well as your ea account.

Thanks for your help. I have PM-ed you the login address.

At your request, I have checked country settings. I've logged in on www.electronicarts.nl, and my country setting is Netherlands. In PayPal it's Netherlands too, and when putting in PayPal info on the Points site, I'm also choosing Netherlands. (And I actually am in the Netherlands at the moment :P)

I'm experiencing the same problem. Unable to pay using a PayPal account without credit-card from the Netherlands. Billing information and EA account both set to the Netherlands as well. At the final stage of the process, getting sent to the PayPal-page, end up at a "Transaction Failed" message. I made sure to have sufficient money in my account to pay, so don't think this is the problem.

Hope this issue can be resolved because I'm certainly looking forward to more DLC for this awesome game!

I had the same problem (last step redirects to Paypal and it gives an error), in the end I used my CC as I can't realize what to do (yes, ea account has exactly the same info as paypal).

While I do have a creditcard, I do not like to use it, out of security reasons, and the delayed payment. (I don't like having a pending payment.) Creditcard is a last resort when no direct payment option is possible, or creditcard is the only way to pay.

Hi,

I've tried again, but failed. After that, I've deleted the saved
PayPal account, closed Firefox, cleaned all files such as cache and so
on, and restarted the browser. I started to suspect the problem was
with Firefox. It is set very strictly, and only accepts cookies. It
remembers nothing else.

Now I UNCHECKED "Clear history when firefox closes" in Tools ->
Options -> Privacy. I created a new PayPal account/link on the
Points page, with EXACTLY the same data as the old one.. and it worked.

The problem may be in Firefox, allthough I cannot fathom why this
setting should interfere. It only affects Firefox when closing it; or
that is as it should be. It's a pity that I cannot test this again
without incurring another reject or buying another 400 points (which i
don't yet need). Next time, I'll purposefully leave this option
checked, and if the purchase fails, I'll uncheck it to be sure about
this.

Maybe this information is useful to anyone in the future or in troubleshooting in the future.

(And yes, while I do have a CC, I try to register it with as few
sites as possible, and use it only as a last resort payment option.)
