 Hey I've got a problem importing my ME1 files from my digital version I got from steam. I purchased the disc version of ME2 and for some reason I cant transfer the damn files from the first game.
Any solutions would be appreciated.

Well are you pointing to your save game folder from ME and importing those files using the configuration tool from ME2?

Import the saves using the configuration utility, then use the saved games option to import your ME1 saves to ME2. After that start up ME2 and start a new game then hit the (Import ME1 Character) to see your imported saves, if you don't do it this way you will not see them until you do this.

if the configuration tool does not work you need to copy them over your self i had to ill put the paths and how now.

the patchs are for windows 7 64 bit not sure if they chane on 32 bit and think it works with vista to

go to C:\\\\Users\\(Username)\\Documents\\BioWare\\Mass Effect\\Save.

copy all or just the one .MassEffectSave file do not copy the .MassEffectProfile file.

and paste it to this folder location.

C:\\\\Users\\(Username)\\Documents\\BioWare\\\\Mass Effect 2\\Save\\ME1

Yes I used the config tool didn't work. Where can I get the patch so I can try out what you said.

Have you tried starting a totally new game ? As your need to do so to see your imported ME1 saves. When you start a new game you are given the chance to pick the Import ME1 Character choice which is the only way once you have imported the saves with the config utility to see your ME1 saves.
