I think my pants got heavier when I saw the what had to be like a thousand reepers. How the hell in ME3 are your supposed to kill all of those. It doesn't even seem unifying every race in the galaxy would kill all of those things.
Maybe Shepard has to find a bunch of super-constructs the shape of giant rings that the Protheans or some sort of Ancient race built that can wipe out all sentient life in the galaxy, and by finding said constructs, Shepard would let loose a parasitic race of aliens that assimilated biomass and created zombie-esque enemies to fight while teaming up with an unlikely ally, a Prothean/Collector warrior who was forsaken by his race and sent forth to a suicide mission.
*ahem*
Or something like that.

Or we could just throw troopers at them. From starships. In powersuits.

Who knows maybe the Mass Relays are more than just things to use to transport maybe they can be used as weapons.

And each one of those required how many bodies to make?
Though, they all look the same. Damn those ancient Protheans sure did reproduce like bunnies.

We need to use their tech against them. I don't believe it will be that hard we know what were facing and know they can be destroyed.

I like the way you think. We can launch Council ships at them!

Or, the Illusive Man has secretly been researching portal technology in an obsolete military base. An Resonance Cascade event goes haywire, the base is overrun by aliens from another dimension, and Shepard teams up with a theoretical physicist who goes into the other dimension, discovers an organo-synthetic race that rules over multiple dimensions and recruits them in an ill-conceived attempt to show the Reapers that organics and synthetics can co-exist peacefully. Unfortunately this extra-dimensional race enslaves everyone in the galaxy, the Ililusive Man turns out to be a representative from a fringe group fighting these extra-dimensional beings and recruits Shepard and the physicist to destroy them and at the end there is a promise of cake.Just_mike wrote...

There is a massive army ready to fight the reapers. With Shepard leading the way the reapers have no chance! I actually feel sorry for them!

Dark energy is mentioned twice as far as I know in the game. First was Veektor or whatever the guys name was, talking about dark energy coming from the harbringer guy or the collectors themselves and the Sun. So either that sun is something the reapers are planning and that dark energy is their signal or that sun is gonna play an important part in the next game...or at least it signals that we are gonna learn how to 'splod the stars.

Pretty much. They have to rely on blitzkrieg tactics and an initial surprise assault on their enemy's command in order to win. With not only Citadel cut off from their initial offensive but so many spacefaring races bombing about, their odds look pretty grim.
You forgot to mention Quarian though. They are mentioned as having one of the largest fleets in the Galaxy. Instead of moaning about not having a homeworld, they should just take the Citadel.... worked for humans.
