I think that we definitely need more Grunt and Garrus. However, I'd choose the drunk Volus any day of the week.
"Charge:mellow:."
He is biotics....made flesh.
But I do want a playable volus, or volus crew member.

Aside from him, while I love the new crew, would adore having the original crew back ("just like old times." =P) Probably not happening, but, a girl can dream.

Samara pretty much says she is leaving after your quest (makes room for another Asari biotic...who could that be?). Mordin would probably continue his research elsewhere, perhaps even helping the Krogan if you were a Paragon. Zaeed is probably out, Jack as well Grunt is needed on the homeworld and it is too early to speculate about Kasumi, though by her being added so late in the game I imagine they would want her story to last longer than one or two missions...
Bear in mind that all the hints so far lead us to believe that the next game will take place just one year after the Collector incident. That means not a whole lot of time to shuffle folks around.

However if i was forced to choose just one to return it would be Miranda. If I got 2 it would be Garrus and Miranda.
EDIT: Actually now that I think of it I could see the mass effect 3 party like this:
Not returning:
Samra/Morinth (Goes back off to the asari. For morinthshe would go off and seek more prey. A cameo for either one could work.)
Zaeed (Goes off again to being a merc since he is only paid for the suicide mission. Plus not everyone has the dlc. Although I guess they could give him a cameo.)
Mordin (They can kill him off with old age if he survives your suicide mission. Maybe have his nephew take his place?)
Thane (Dead from his uncurable disease if he survives the suicide mission.)
Returning:
Ashley/Kaidan (Which ever one is alive in your storyline)
Liara (Replacing Samara/Mornith. Samara says she is leaving after the mission anyway. Highest chance of any previous party member to return since she is the only unkillable one.)
Garrus (Only friend is Shepard. No where else to go.)
Tali (Been in 2 games as a party member might as well come back for the third. Plus if you exile her she has no where else to go.)
Jacob (Seems to respect Shepard a lot.)
Miranda (She quits Cerberus if you blow up the base. No where else to go.)
Jack (She says she is leaving after the mission but I could see them keeping her around.)
Legion (Has their part of their body formed from your armor since they like you.)
Grunt (You're his battle master.)
All the returning people would only be a party member if they survived the save you transfer over.
After that just add in like 3 new people and you got a party of 12 or 5 for 14. I think they would be a pretty nice party.

It seems many of us have similar ideas, like having your squad return for ME3 and continuing the romance quests into an actual relationship instead of railroading the crew of ME2 to make room for a new crew.
So here's a question, what crew would have to come back in ME3? (I.E., is there a crew member that would have to show up, or you’d not even want to play the game?) By all means, if there are multiple, please list them and let us know why.
For me it’s Tali. She was the most dynamic character in ME1 and her character growth was well developed throughout the game. Her culture is incredibly interesting and actually seeing the Flotilla was great. The lack of her as a love interest in ME1 was disappointing, but she was no less charming and endearing in ME2.
Who’s your favorite and why?

That guy's my hombre, I would trust him in a gunfight. Seriously, from his first line of dialog I was saying to myself "I like this guy!" and I think he would be great in ME3. Plus there could be something there between him and Tali, which could provide some compelling drama.
Just my two cents

Others:
Liara (this must be done!)
Tali
Kaiden/Ashley (whichever survived)
Mordin (he is a great chatacter)
Wrex (if possible, but even a large non-squad role would be nice)
Legion
and finally... a Hanar! It doesn't bother me who they are (doesn't have to be a Blasto like character), but a hanar squad member would be the icing on the cake for me.
The rest, I'm not too bothered about.
Thane, Samara, Jack - would be nice to see any of them return, but I wouldn't be upset if they didn't.
My least favourites:
Zaeed, Grunt, Jacob, Miranda - all quite boring to me, and I would not recruit them in ME3, given the option.

as for joker omg that guy makes me ****** myself
" Great. See, this is where it starts, and when we're all just organic batteries, guess who they'll blame? "This is all Joker's fault. What a tool he was. I have to spend all day computing pi because he plugged in the Overlord."
