To be more fair

Male Sheps

Miranda: Shes bitter, and I don't like how she has a boy'ish face with those jaw bones/chin lines
Kelly: Seems like a horny college grad that just wants to bang her superior. Wait that is what she is...
Tali: I guess not my type in real life either, and I thought she was a useless party member..the robot drone crap? >_> .....
Not to mention if you sneeze on her, she'll die. I can't even imagine cross-race fluid transfer during sex...
Morinth: Uhh I think I wanna live to see the light of ME3...other than that she's interesting but more or less the "real" femme fatale. Sorta reminded me of Xenia from Goldenye movie...
Samara: Equivalent of a nun who used to be a cheap **** back in the day. Reminded me of Lelina from Dragon Age. Oh but shes grandma age haha
Jack: Hmm..I'd have to say...she was the most believable and yet most cliche character (Well maybe asides from Kelly) ....but nah...shes a pyscho unfortunately..

Uh yah and I had a pass relationship with Liara, but Bioware writers have overmarketed the "IMPORT YOUR ME1 SAVE!! HUGE AND SEVERE CONSEQUENCES!!"
equates to running hacking missions for her. Maybe the writer's satirical spin on matured love.

"Honey pass the coffee" "ok"
"Your turn to pick up the kids from practice"
"Uhh sorry...I need to go on a midlife crisis thing to rediscover myself..."

Oh and Ashley Williams...what a ****!

I don't know, I never got it. I didn't like her in ME1 and I don't like her now. Not only do I dislike her as a LI, but her voice irks me man. I never bring her in my party.

lol

Jack is what's up!

Oh no I went through courting her, just to see the dialogue. Yeah yeah I know a sneeze wouldn't kill her. But I don't like the whole real lifereferences (not to say that I hate that culture) but I just get bothered by sci-fi characters that are pretty much ripped out of real life. It sorta ruins it for me...

She doesn't really seem fun or interesting at all. Not to mention her courting dialogue was pretty boring...
"A dashing commander comes and saves me, blah blah blah" woopy do, join the line for the male shepard fan club =D.

Ok there, now I got it. She comes off as a raging fangirl...

I still like Ashley and i find alot of people are being too superficial when hating her for her flaws (xenophobia, zealot [which i don't consider a flaw]). Everyone has flaws and Shepard helps grow her character and softens her stance on xenopohbia. Her character is very well rounded too. She cares for her family, has the burden of dealing with prejudices throughout your career and is a strong independent woman. I completely understood her reaction in Mass Effect 2, as she was loyal to Shepard and your ideals. She was emotionally attached to him. Working for Cerberus went again Paragon Shepard's ideals, thus i understand the explosion of emotion. It was a betrayal. If i was in her situation i would react the same way (not the same but i did when i found out that my ex was cheating). We should judge her when Mass Effect 3 comes along.

But Tali is just, well innocent, shy and loyal. Tali most probably was loyal to Shepard because she was not emotionally attached to him in ME1. She had a crush but she was not deeply involved with Shepard unlike Ashley (Liara i cannot say cause i have not met her as an LI in ME2 yet). But yeah Tali is still awesome. Hard choice between them in my book.

I don't think there is anything weird about liking Tali so much... She's one of my fav chars in any game. She was since the first game. I wished she was a romance then. They designed her body very well, good form. Her VA does a great job, her personality is sweet and I think someone you can easily care about. As shy as people mention she is, she's also damn strong. She sure doesn't shy away from any of what she feels are her duties. She's so complex... besides being strong, appears to be beautiful yet mysterious because you don't know what's under the suit... She is also weak, prone to sickness. her people are vagrants of a sort.

Tali is a girl you want to take care of, and at the same time you know you can count on her in battle. The other chars just don't have her complexity and greatness. Anyways, that's my take. My Shepard would sacrifice himself for her in an instant, no question.

It is quite simply this.

The unwrapped package is the most enticing. Bioware has kind of painted themselves into a corner because the Tali fans have such high expectations that if they ever open the package there will be monumental crying. The Bioware version of Tali will never be what everyone has pictured her to be therefore the dissappointment will be catestrophic. All i can say is i want 6 months notice before the Tali is unwrapped, so i can update my stock portfolio heavy into pharmicuticals cause the anti depressants will be flowing.   Posted Image

Certainly not as a romantic interest.

Personally I've always liked the intelligent female scientist types, and we had two in Mass Effect 1 - Liara and Tali and out of the two Tali was the one who had a personality. Ah, why can't we have a human intelligent female scientist type who isn't afraid to suggest handcuffs... Umm sorry about that, floated off.

To tell you the truth none of Mass Effects women have really appealed to me as LI's. Jack's a nutcase, Miranda's too serious, Ashely is gahhh, Liara is an boring blue skinned monosex alien, Kelly worships you (which is great for guys who are scared of women) and Tali wears an environmental suit which probably hides the fact she looks like a hairy iguana.

Went through the first game without picking anyone only to find I was stuck with Ashley.... If I'd have known I'd have gone and huddled up to Liara.

In the next game they'll probably give EDI a body, but Joker has first dibs. :(

I think you're joking =P  but just to say to that, I don't think it's that serious.  As much as I like Tali... It's just a game.  Some of us have love in real life, and things will be ok.  ;)  I don't have any picture in my head for what Tali might look like at all, though I do imagine she'd be beautiful whatever comes out of there.  Honestly I don't think it will be hard for Bioware... Sure some people will be dissapointed, but you can't prevent that in anything.

Because I like that her character shows real emotion, and, along with Garrus, sticks by Shepard's side unquestionably and irrefutably. I also have a thing for nerdy gals. Looks? Eh, I suppose. I'm sure she's attractive to a degree under the suit, and the hips are kinda exotic, other than that, I'm not that concerned with the looks. I enjoy her personality and her conflict with the geth. It's more than just hate at this point, and i'm curious to see if she ends up in the "destroy the geth" or "ally with the geth" faction.

My favorite character by far, and in my opinion, the best written and developed one in the series.

Miranda is stereotypical, shallow, and utterly boring to me. Same with Jack.

Mainly because she is a nice character. She values the importance of others before herself.
These type of characters are what I prefer in a story, and in which a main protagonist should be involved with.
Call me old-fashioned but I still like the ''noble hero gets the good girl'' type of stories. Makes me enjoy it even more.

Like in Dragon Age for example, my favourite character was Sten. Sure he didn't talk much but he was driven by honor. These type of characters are necessary to make a story nice.

My main shep loves Tali. She has been there through all his adventures. (Even if in the first ME she was only a walking codex) She is loyal, witty, has a nice body, and a lovely voice.

From a gaming perspective, I personally see her romance as the sweetest. I also enjoyed mark meers love banter in this game, he really became a ladies man.

Jack is too emo, Miranda is too...high maintenance.

Tali on the other hand - she seems to reflect a normal person, in an alien form - a nice refresher in-game. Lots of insecurities, fears, indecision, yet eagerness, joy, and determination - items most "real" relationships have.

The same reason other people swear by female shepard + liara.

Opinions. If you can't accept the fact that other people have opinions and like things other than you do, then please don't post.

I like Tali because she's just a nice person. She's unassuming, humble, and nice, but she's also capable at the same time. She's tough when she has to be, but she doesn't strut it around. Ashley is too close to the stereotyped "tough female" for my tastes. Being tough doesn't mean you have to be in your face, shoot and ask questions later.

I don't care for Ashley, I don't relate to her, and while I understand her background, it doesn't make her reasoning any more sound. It just means that she's a victim of her upbringing and because of that she harbors a certain amount of prejudice for poor reasons. That being said, I don't hate her.

But she's too much a typical military character for me, which, while I have nothing against the military or its people, I am NOT the sort of person who would do well in a military because of certain personality traits I have, which are at odds with hers. I can't abide by the sort of thinking Ashley parrots with "Humanity hast to stick together" because that's nonsense - I don't owe humanity anything. I want to help everyone equally - I don't believe in preferential treatment, regardless of whether they're my species or not.

I romanced Tali on my first play through. I love her character. She is probably the most well written in the game. She is adorable and loveable. From how she acts to how she sounds. And just by talking with her it seems like she actually likes Shep and has obviously liked him for a a while. Her romance scene was really cute too, I loved that little smile Shep got when he took her mask off. I wasn't dissappointed that they didn't show her face, thats not why I like her. I like her because of her personality. Although, dem hips are great. ;] BUT all quarian women have those. Damn, they could make a porno if they let me loose on the flotilla. Now Jack's romance scene was very good too, she really surprised me as a character. Her scene was sweet but my favorite LI from the two games is definitley Tali's. But I haven't seen Miranda's yet so i'll wait to reserve full judgement till I do. Miranda just seems to be thrown in for sex appeal. I'm not complaining of course! lol

lets see my choices are

Miranda: She's basically a bad sex joke.

Jack: The gilr has had more dick in her then a pile of boxer shorts. She great and all if I wanted to know what STDs where like.

Tali: Emotional engaging character that has actually liked you since the first game and she pretty cute when nervous. Not to mention it would be pretty much to get an STD from her and you can't get her pregnant.

Yea I choose tali.

Because she's freakin awesome, that's why.

She's confident and capable without being overbearing, she's genuinely nice and self-sacrificing and (when using a paragon convince) is willing to overlook her biggest weakness (her hatred of the Geth) to reach a compromise with Legion.
