Dragon Age is an amazing game but the extremely poor framerate is ruining the experience for me.  Please work on a patch the can improve the framerate. Thanks.

I too am really disappointed with the frame rate on the PS3....especially after playing demons souls for the past three weeks which ran great....I wish I could take the PS3 version back and exchange it for the PC version...

yeah, i would have got the game for my crappy pc if i wanted to have these kinds of framerate problems.  I buy console games becasue they are supposed to be optimized for the platform.

Yeah Bioware, why don't you just make a patch that increases the physical capabilities of the PS3 hardware? C'mon, it cant be that hard.

Don't try to be a smartass. Patching framerate is highly feasible. Fail post.

Yeah...I have the PS3 version. The framerate is the only issue I have with it. Other than that...this game is awsome!

Quite frankly, I have absolutely NO issue with thr frame rate or any other graphics issues. Except maybe there seems to be a lot of inordinate clipping, especially with long hair, beards, and when characters cross their arms. Not a big deal.

lol i posted something about this on launch day...but yeah i agree, it'd be nice to see a patch fixing just general bugs and hopefully the graphical/technical problems that the consoles (yes i'm including the 360 in this) have. it'd be kinda nice to see it come out in the next few weeks or so.

oh and i think the clipping is probably present on all platforms...but i could be wrong
besides that though DAO is really an awesome game!

I have said in  other posts I haven't noticed any framerate issues. But then again maybe I have but I just have not noticed them.  Issues I did notice though was it taking 15-30 seconds for an enemy to register as dead and I could take their loot. Also lips moving but not audio playing.

Also for all that is holy and or unholy can we not have this break down into if you did not want issues you should have gotten it on PC not console.   I know its probably way easier to release patches for the PC version but there should not be really  any reason that updates fixing issues on the console versions can not be done. Okay it might take longer to get them out than on pc but it should still be able to be done.

I'm hoping Bioware is working on an optimization patch to release soon. It's a bit annoying, the game chugs along at parts.

anyone that says the framerate is so bad it makes it almost unplayable is just a whiny moron. i have logged about 16 hours on PS3 and the odd time i notice a framerate issue other than that its fine, stop whining and play the game

It Was inevitable.. and likely going to be more the norm with newer games that have more content and a lot more cpu/gpu dependant  .. theres a lot more going on in this game than Mass effect,  .. I read an article recently where yerli from Crytek had commented on maxing out ps3 capabilites with the latest build of their inhouse engine.. yes i know this game uses a completely different engine , but i would argue the proccessing overhead quotas are right up there with design limitations for all the developers that are making ground breaking games.
its Sad really .. as magnificent as this game is.. it could have been so much more were it pc exculsive .. At least bioware sticks to the golden rule ..gameplay over fluff :D

Well I haven't seen the game yet, as I am in Europe, but I do hope that the developers that where originally assigned to optimize the PS3 version didn't get pulled off the project when the US release date was moved forward. Would be great if a performance patch was available when we Europeans get the game in two weeks :)

I've not seen framerate issues in any review for this on PS3. All they seem to mention are a slightly increased amount of graphical glitches compared to Xbox.

How does the framerate compare to, say, Oblivion? That game had some serious slowdown at times.

i wouldnt be at all suprised if at some point they do release a patch to "help" the framerate issues. That is a pretty common patch from what i have found.

I seriously have not seen any framerate issue yet except at the begining of the dwarf commoner origin during the intro CS. Since then it's been real smooth.

On my console it doesn't take 15seconds for loot to register on dead mobs, what I get is no loot until the entire battle is over, then all the corpses start to shine at the same time, it's like x-mas :)

Don't be so ignorant as to suggest that people should just buy the PC version, WHEN NOT EVERYONE HAS AN ADEQUATE COMPUTER.
