would love to see a patch come out soon to fix the frame rate and the countless other bugs i've encountered while playing this game so far...

Would I be remiss in saying that the PS3 version has been relegated to the ages? Forgotten? Ignored? Or have I become jaded over the issue? Seriously?

Hmm well I am using the standard ps3 hard drive since my insurance on the console will nto allow me to upgrade >_>

The only major frame rate issues I have had have been in a few of the larger battles e.g. at the landsmeet or during the final battle, aswell as a few random encounters. This was in the form of the screen freezing know and then for round about 10-20 seconds.

I am using the pal version.

Turning off the settings and networking didn't really help (probably because of the error only occuring randomly.)

I am using the 80/74 gb ps3 model and I have 21 gb left.

Hopefully this helps even if it is a tad of thread necroing.

Slightly off-topic here, but FYI, swapping hard-drives doesn't affect you warrantee if that's what you mean by "insurance on your console".

The frame rate is really atrocious. Mine is a brand new PS 3 Slim with 120 HD. Popped the game, installed and the frame rate problems began. Maybe you guys at Bioware should use a proper console and not a Dev Kit Console to test i.

*sigh* This is rediculous. We can only hope that they are making a patch. Is there any news at all on a patch of some kind for PS3?

I know they rereleased Return to Ostagar on 360 with a patch, but I think it just fixed what the DLC broke... God I would love to enjoy this game.

I seriously doubt it. As many pages as this thread has tallied up without any real kind of official response acknowledging the issue, it's looking to me like this won't be fixed. In fact, I expect this thread to be locked within the next week or so. That's what I'm expecting to be our "official response"...

Man, I've been keeping up with this thread for awhile, but haven't posted anything. But I have something to say now.

I used to think that people were talking bullcrap, and that there weren't any framerate problems at all. I didn't really notice any significant slowdowns (and I have a new 120gb slim). And then by chance, I was watching random game reviews on YouTube, and saw one for the XBox 360 version. Although their graphics may not be as good, it was SO FLUID. No tiny pauses when you move the camera around or when spells are being casted, etc. I know that the PS3 is definitely capable of better, just look at all the other games with better graphics and better fluidity, i.e. Uncharted 2, Demon's Souls, MGS4, Resident Evil 5...the list goes on.

I'm pretty sure the answer is going to be no, but can those who are experiencing major frame rate issues confirm that they are using the standard hard drive that came with the PS3. We've heard some reports that the performance issues could be tied to those who swapped out their hard drives.

nice attitude.  way to stand behind your product...

i can confirm that the performance issues are not related to swapping the HDD since i have not switched them out.  quit trying to pass the buck onto the end user.  i've seen a lot of posts by you people at bioware blaming us end users - why don't you just admit that you're lazy and are terrible at your jobs?

Adding my request in for a patch. I just switched my 360 version for the PS3 version (a pristine used collector's edition was just too hard to pass up) and the difference between the two is ridiculous. It's certainly not enough to drive me away from the game, but it is frustrating knowing exactly how smooth the framerate can be and then seeing how it is on the PS3. Pretty please, Bioware? <3

Last post from BioWare in that "official support" thread was 2 months ago... so yeah, I've pretty much given up on this game.

I forgot to ask: Is Ostagar back out for PS3 yet? If it's not, I still reserve the hope that a patch comes with it. If it is... well... ****.

If the ps3 patch is the same as the 360 one, it'll be just to make the game dlc ready; nothing more.
