I think its important that this thread is never going down, they have to see this thread everytime they visit the forum. So maybe in a few months there is maybe something that maybe fixes something.

And it seems to get worse the longer you play the game.

PC is the best version, easily. Not just graphically but gameplay is more old school RPG as you would expect.
For me the best console version is.....
PS3. The graphics ARE better, I think quite a bit better. There is a slowdown issue but it doesn't seem that bad to me. I have the PS slim so maybe it runs better on that one.
The 360 version was, quite frankly, friggin ugly.

I think even though we got a "buggy mess" on our Ps3's, the xbots over there have a Buggy F*n' Mess on their 360's ("quotation" marks withheld, because it sounds bad over there, really, really bad.)
Even though we may have to wait for RTO, it might just be for the best. BioWare has made some wind about the "long certification process" with Sony, but I have a sneaking suspicion Sony is saving us gamers a whole 'lotta hassle here people.
After all, couldn't this "long certification process" really be Sony QA'ing the game and saying: "Yo Bioware? What is this crap?"
Also announced today, Dragon Age II for 1st. quarter 2011. Really? Oh, and lots more hype for "Awakenings" which drops in a month. Really?? EA, losing money much (rushrushrushrushrushrushrushrushrush)???

Wow, it's bad on 360 too? Okay, I guess that spares me from buying it again.. I would try the PC version, but honestly, I don't want to start over and I don't really give a ****. Not a chance I'll be buying awakening or DA2 though. At least unless they prove that they know how to make these games proper. Back to Mass Effect 2 (which is brilliant, you guys get credit for that... but since it's a different team, I suppose you should congratulate them, rather than what we have here).vonFurious wrote...
Yeah, I thought I'd meander over to the 360 forums and it ain't pretty... Lost save files, empty party chests, milk that has been spilled....

I would still rather sit on my sofa, feet up and play on the 60" TV. Even with a dodgy framerate.

I tried playing the PS3 Version to the end, because i'm almost there. But after I played the PC Version so much, its almost impossible to go back... compared to that the PS3 Version plays like crap. No matter on which PS3 you play it, the framerate IS bad, especially at the end, it is as bad as a framerate can be.
Tell me about it... I'm seriously thinking to drop the game and jump into another of my game.

you mean about the framerate? I think you already traveled to Ostagar, then you've seen some really bad programming, but at the end when you fight the hordes its even worse. I thinkt that could've been 2-5 frps at times. Ok, you just need to press X to attack and watch, but its horrible. You jump from frame to frame and its hard to control you team. Without a doubt, I NEVER played a PS3 Game that had such extreme framerate issues, even at the beginning of the PS3, the first bad portings of 360 Games, it was nothing compared to this.
Its a shame that a quality-developer like BioWare delivers such a crap version of a nearly perfect game. The PC Version is the greatest RPG that I've ever played, but the PS3 one........ I think we should thank BioWare that they keep Mass Effect 1+2 exclusive to PC/360, only god knows what **** they would have dropped in our living rooms.

PC: the more you play it, the longer the load times get. When you first start it, the load times are around 5 to 10 seconds ... after about an hour of playing, the load times are up to 1 minute or more. This was infuriating and I never got past Ostagar because of it. No patches ever fixed it.
PS3: long load times (about 2x the 360 load times), constantly glitching sound, constant framerate hiccups galore as well as frequently terrible framerate (sub 10fps). I never made it past Ostagar.
360: This was my last choice to try, but surprisingly became the one to play. Yes, *some* (not all) textures are lower res than PS3. In the course of a full playthrough I had 1 lockup, after the very last battle during the cinematic. I also had maybe 2 times total when voice dropped out during a conversation. Load times are not obnoxious (about twice as fast as PS3) and the framerate stays around 20 to 30 fps except during some parts of the last battle. I ran into a few quest bugs where the quest marker never disappeared from the map. However, I never had any save corruption, and never had any quest break the game. The music never glitched, unlike the PS3 version, which cut out quite frequently.
Even if Bioware fixed the framerate hiccups, the overall low framerate would still kill the game for me, not to mention the sound glitches.
I think its appalling that Bioware trys to blame it on different versions of the PS3. I have Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, Saboteur, etc etc ... and all of these run identically on the 2 different PS3 version I own.,

Their phone number is (512) 637-9150.
Currently waiting for an email address to contact Edge of Reality to express my displeasure with the quality of their Ps3 port of DA:O.
Perhaps they will illuminate where others choose not to.

@ Shartin70
I don't know what do you exactley mean with "Bugs", but the PC Version of DA is, in my opinion, one of the most bugless RPGs ever released. I had no problems, not one single. I think here you can blame your PC.
Even the PS3 Version seems clean to me, instead of the framerate.
If you want a buggy mess then you should check out Bethesdas RPGs.

I spoke to a receptionist there, asked for an email to inform them of the problems we are having. She told me to send it to their Jobs email address. I told her that was probably a quick ticket to non-response. We will see... I think it strange she didn't give me a "real persons" email.
At this point, I just want someone to admit there is a lack of quality in this "AAA" title. If it weren't for all this DLC hullabalo, I would be a lot less skeptical. Seriously seems like EA, or BioWare are far more concerned with our future purchases rather than our current ones.

My Absolute Beef is with the stuttering framerate and slowdown when engaged in battle. Sometimes the camera is smoother than others, other times its jaggy and stuttery as hell. I have tried different settings with my TeVee, and Disabling my Ps3 internet connection definitely makes an improvement, but with so many other people complaining here about the framerate I would really like to know what is the problem. I can live with it, hell I have through three playthroughs and many, many hours. At this point, I just want to know how it can be such a jarring experience for some, but obviously not important enough for EA/ BIoWare/ Edge of Reality to explain
I obviously enjoy the game, just kind of staggering to have the graphical presentation be so rough...

I have got to the main city (i forgot its name, danathar or something) and still not one bit of slowdown.
I have a ps3 and I also dont get slowdown in fallout 3 which loads complain about. Starting to think i have a god console or something.
Is the slowdown much farther on than i am or something?

Don't worry, if I thought it might improve the performance of some games, I would have no problem modding some extra RAM into my system. It would probably just eff a bunch of stuff up, though.Haexpane wrote...
