I seriously have not seen any framerate issue yet except at the begining of the dwarf commoner origin during the intro CS. Since then it's been real smooth.
On my console it doesn't take 15seconds for loot to register on dead mobs, what I get is no loot until the entire battle is over, then all the corpses start to shine at the same time, it's like x-mas

Oh it's there.
I agree that it's not ruining the game by any means as it mostly happens in the scripted events. But I have to admit it feels like an unnecessary annoyance they should've dealt with before releasing the game.

Maybe it is a difference in PS3 versions? I have the 80 Gb model and have not experienced any framerate problems with the game.
120g slim model here, I have zero framerate issues.
The only issues I have are audio and they are minor. There is some clipping in the audio in some areas, although it isn't frequent. Mostly in the dwarven areas. After probably 80-100 hours of playtime through all of my characters, I've seen two lines of dialog not fire during conversations, as well.

Most likely reasons are some people forcing the game to 1080p and some people being more sensitive to the issue than others. I'm betting that moving to 720p won't result in a change and will improve the experience (since the game probably runs natively at <720p, anyway).
This is all theory, anyway, since my preordered CE is still MIA.

Bioware has already responded to this issue and said there is no problem.
where on earth have they commented on that? and if this is no problem why is it that its choppier on the ps3 and not the 360? that to me is a problem..
they should fire the betacentre cause they didn't do a good job.. maybe blind people that works there or something?

I would have like too see this game be true HD 1080p with high resolution textures but there only so much pixel pushing power a console can push I suppose...

Just wanted to add above as i think others who have changed harddrives that may not think above as a possible problem at first? I have noticed some tiny stuttering in some other games as well after chaning drive but they are not gameplay stuttering so they dont bother me.
A note to Bioware enginering team! Please remove reading or disc checks from blueray under gameplay.

A patch is entirely possible so i hope they don't short change ps3 players for too long.
