I seriously have not seen any framerate issue yet except at the begining of the dwarf commoner origin during the intro CS. Since then it's been real smooth.

On my console it doesn't take 15seconds for loot to register on dead mobs, what I get is no loot until the entire battle is over, then all the corpses start to shine at the same time, it's like x-mas :)

I have had this same experience. Compared to my experience with the game so far, the extreme dissatisfaction I've read here with the framerate baffles me. I just haven't seen it.

Oh it's there.
I agree that it's not ruining the game by any means as it mostly happens in the scripted events. But I have to admit it feels like an unnecessary annoyance they should've dealt with before releasing the game.

Bioware has already responded to this issue and said there is no problem.

Maybe it is a difference in PS3 versions? I have the 80 Gb model and have not experienced any framerate problems with the game.

120g slim model here, I have zero framerate issues.

The only issues I have are audio and they are minor. There is some clipping in the audio in some areas, although it isn't frequent. Mostly in the dwarven areas. After probably 80-100 hours of playtime through all of my characters, I've seen two lines of dialog not fire during conversations, as well.

I have the launched 60gb model (with a 120 gb hdd) and agree there is some frame rates issues. But, they have not in the 90 hours i have logged on the game made me un-happy about my purchase. If i had to ask for a patch it would be for extra custom tactics slots like the pc version.

Most likely reasons are some people forcing the game to 1080p and some people being more sensitive to the issue than others. I'm betting that moving to 720p won't result in a change and will improve the experience (since the game probably runs natively at <720p, anyway).

This is all theory, anyway, since my preordered CE is still MIA. :)

I've not noticed any frame rate issues, the only issue I've noticed is the one with the sound

I have noticed a couple of dialogues that looked like the voiceovers were missing.

Just picked this up for the PS3 yesterday, and I'm happy with the frame rate and graphics overall. The thing that bothers me more is some of the characters face builds (especially my female rogue) they just look dead...bleak..like plastic dolls that look past the characters they're speaking too. Also would be nice to be able to turn off the helm graphic :P

Overall very happy with the ps3 version.

where on earth have they commented on that? and if this is no problem why is it that its choppier on the ps3 and not the 360? that to me is a problem..
they should fire the betacentre cause they didn't do a good job.. maybe blind people that works there or something?

The game runs pretty damn smooth for me maybe my PS3 is just a rare golden one LOL
I would have like too see this game be true HD 1080p with high resolution textures but there only so much pixel pushing power a console can push I suppose...

To above poster That I have too agree with the bata testers Missed many Bugs

Just get PC. :P sorry that is inflammatory. I got a PS3 to but if the game is avalible for pc i will always choose pc over ps3 due to the ps3 hardware limatations, but i do hope bioware can do some optomazations for you all. Your all part DAO danbase and count just as much.

Iam having some stuttering issues but i think my fault is that i have a Samsung 500gb Harddrive installed wich does not have as fast access times as a orginal 60gb, 80gb or 120gb Harddrives has... :-)

Just wanted to add above as i think others who have changed harddrives that may not think above as a possible problem at first? I have noticed some tiny stuttering in some other games as well after chaning drive but they are not gameplay stuttering so they dont bother me.

A note to Bioware enginering team! Please remove reading or disc checks from blueray under gameplay.

I hardly notice any framerate issues (80 gig version), there are some dips here and there. Im mostly annoyed over the constant sound clipping/dissapearing. It's not something which should have passed QA, it feels pretty cheap to release it with that fault...

i have a 80 g model and the framerate is bad in open areas, it is obvious when you run and when you look around using the R stick. how come some say it is smooth?

Totally agree we all know the power of the ps3 when in the right hands and there is no excuse for the ps3 version to run so poorly when they 360 runs quite smoothly. i have both versions and the ps3 looks alot better but is not optimised at all for the hardware which is a huge letdown.

A patch is entirely possible so i hope they don't short change ps3 players for too long.
