-NTSC
2) Has anyone noticed these framerate issues when playing on 480p or lower?
-The issues appear in both 480p and 720p. My TV doesnt support 1080p.
3) Did lowering from 720p to 480p make a noticable performacne difference. If so, approximately how noticable was the difference?
-No difference apart from the lower resolution.
4) Does turning off networking options in the Options Menu make a noticable difference?
-I have yet to try this. I'll edit the post tonight after the Grey Cup game.
5) What is your PS3 firmware version. 2.70 is the minimum required/supported version but newer versions may affect performance.
-V3.10
6) How much hard drive space is left on your console?
26gb out of 40
7) How long after you start playing does it take for the framerate issues to occur or do they occur immediately after a load/new game?
-The issues seem to be instantanious and persistent, sometimes getting worse when many enemies are on screen, and multiple spell effects are going off.
8) Does your tv natively support the options selected on the console for video and sound?
- Yes
Hope the feedback helps!

-Loads almost 50% faster from startup to gameplay.
-Nearly constant 30fps, no where near the framerate hiccups in the PS3 version, no frame skips whatsoever.
-Water effects look so much better and more detailed
-Bush and shrubbery have a slight animation to them that was absent in the PS3 version
Things I did not notice:
-Worse textures color or lighting. I wasn't too impressed with the PS3 textures and color so this was not even an issue for me. Textures look just fine or as fine as one could expect for this game considering how low the graphical bar is set compared to other games this generation.
Playing this game on 360 from PS3 is surprisingly like upgrading the video card in my PC for a game that chugged beforehand or like I switched off some unessesary options to make it run smoother. I am enjoying the game so much more. I can actually appreciate the work put into the architecture of the environments now that the camera framerate behaves.
I wish all of you the best and hope the game is patched for you. Sucks this happened in the first place as I prefer playing games on the PS3.

On second thoughts.......
Well I started up another game on my other PS3 with standard HDD (in a different room) and I am shocked at how poorly it is running. Sound stutters, characters in cutscenes just appear out of nowhere. When initiating chat with NPC's sound skips and you miss the first line of dialogue. Even things like bushes appear in cutscenes and then dissapear as quickly. It's really quite bizzare.
To double check I deleted the game data and re-installed but to the same avail.
I thought the general frame rate was poor enough on my Slim PS3 with the SSD, howevet NEVER has had any of those issues (characters popping in and out, objects likewise, dialogue missing (the odd word but not entire sentences)...
However... It simply is unplayable on my Fat PS3 with HDD.
There is certainly something array here, and since not everyone is in the fortunate position to afford to put an SSD into their PS3's to play this game, Bioware really need to get this patched ASAP.

Havent tried
3)Did lowering from 720p to 480p make a noticable performacne difference.
If so, approximately how noticable was the difference? No noticable difference; it still has very choppy framerates

4) Does turning off networking options in the Options Menu make a noticable difference?
No.
5) What is your PS3 firmware version. 2.70 is the minimum required/supported version but newer versions may affect performance.
3.10
6) How much hard drive space is left on your console?
60gig model with the original harddrive, about 25 gigs left.
7)How long after you start playing does it take for the framerate issues
to occur or do they occur immediately after a load/new game?
Almost from the beginning. Problem is much worse when using DTS/DD with optical output. Better with HDMI.
8) Does your tv natively support the options selected on the console for video and sound?
Yes.
Have you taken the sound output option in consideration when adressing this issue? I do notice an improvement when using the HDMI in comparison to the optical output. Perhaps you need to play around with those options.. Thank you for a great game!

I have no lag issues anywhere in the game thus far. I'm using HDMI of course.

I would blame the testers since there is no way this went unnoticed, but then it's not really their fault. It's the fault of whoever released it anyway and ignored them. I don't have a 360 so unfortunately this is the only option I have. I'm really disappointed... Official word that this will definitely be fixed would go a long way.

Ha, looks like the idea to bring
forward the release date was indeed a bad one!! What were they
thinking? Didn't the developers play it themselves?? Did they find the
framerate normal? My god!!
As stated by a bioware employee who "somehow" didn't notice any framerate issue on any version before launch here: http://social.biowar...9/index/65513/2

Let's give this one more try.
The
PS3 version is identical to 360. Same textures, same visual effects,
same pop-in distance for LOD. Framerate might actually be different
between the two platforms under certain circumstances, given how
they're entirely different hardware. I played through both console
versions more than once - framerate is consistent throughout and won't
be a problem at all (unless you can somehow tell when the game is
running at 24 vs 30 FPS, and you find 24 frames a second unplayable. If
that's the case I would expect you to have issues with many games, not
just Dragon Age).
The game delaying for the PS3 in various
regions has to do with certification/publishing differences in those
regions, and absolutely nothing to do with the development of the PS3
version.
I'd suggest you wait until you see for yourself, or
until more comparison reviews come out, before you draw final
conclusions.
As stated by the digital foundry comparison on eurogamer here: http://www.eurogamer...round-23?page=1
It's also fair to say that both console games aren't strong performers.
Dragon Age: Origins is v-synced for better image consistency, but the
frame-rate is extremely variable - anything from 15 to 30 frames per
second depending on the scene being rendered. In this area the Xbox 360
game has the advantage, but even the Microsoft platform struggles.
I made some research to find a solution and only found many threads on many forums complaining about the horrendous framerate. It seems that "somehow" you need to be a be a bioware employee to be unable to "somehow" tell when the game run at 15fps vs 30fps (And I highly doubt the latter is met anywhere else than in the the start screen).

To all people who rush to bash bioware, bioware actually read these forums and they are working in a patch or a solution . And do not forget that bioware DID not do the port... so it is not their fault.

LOL!
That seems to be the only solution. Bioware glasses!
That's sort of disheartening to hear that tho...

They also claimed that the visual effects is the same on both consoles. NOT TRUE! When I look at videos of the Xbox version, there is more moving shrubbery and bushes than in the PS3 version. I've also read other posts on this forum by guys, who has played the Xbox version. They also state that there is more animated/moving objects like shrubbery and bushes in the Xbox version. The scenery looks really static on the PS3.

That's interesting. Since people have been reporting audio drop-outs with the choppy framerate, this might actually not be directly graphics related but an audio issue, instead
