I'm going to return it and buy Demon's Souls... thank you Bioware, I will tell my friends about this issue so they don't buy the game.

I was trying to keep playing even with the bad framerate, because I love the history, but it is giving me headache... sorry I can't go on with a defective product... I paid to enjoy a game not for a headache.

You won't regret it.

For me the minor hitching is an issue as soon as i start the game up and gets progessively worse the longer I play. to the point that if I play long enough (more than 4 hours or so) its almost gauranteed that the game will freeze up on me, to the point that I have to reboot the PS3 forcefully by hard reseting it with the power button on the console itself.

I guess I can wait another month until January, but I think I might sell that damn thing if there still isn't a patch by the end of this month. Good luck Bioware.

You guys do realise that fixing an issue like this is not going to happen in a week or two? First the issue has to be tracked down - it might not be apparent - then, it has to be fixed, and that probably includes borking with some VERY sensitive parts of the engine. When everything is ready, it has to go to Sony for approvals - which can take weeks as we saw with the recent Mass Effect patch on the xbox side.
Bio is aware of the issue, and as we can see in this thread, they're taking steps to sort it out. It's not going to happen overnight. I'm not saying it shouldn't have been eliminated before release, but we need to live in the reality and do our part to get the issue fixed as swiftly as possible.
Everybody needs to take a chill pill, NOW. The signal to noise ratio in this thread is so poor it's probably hurting their efforts in fixing the bugs (all the reports get lost in the 'now? What about now?' posts... that suddenly remind me of that one guy in the first Baldur's Gate, but I digress).

I don't see any proof of the actions they are taking in response to this issue, as you talked about. Unless you want to address the respond of the mod who bluntly said PS3 and Xbox performance are simply the same, issue solved?

You even replied to the post. Read the first sentence.
Edit: Edited to remove my frustration at some people. My ass starts to twitch every time people start demanding proof like they are the Supreme Court or something - not something I am entirely unfamiliar with.

you're cute when you e-rage.
What does the survey do? keep us busy? I don't see anything said about the surveys that are filled out, they basically said the same thing: changing resolution helps, but not that much, so and so.

GOW Collection is the best example... is not the same playing GOW in ps2 and ps3... you know what is?
FRAMERATE and SMOOTH gameplay... that's the diference between the ps2 and ps3 versions.
Thank for all the people who don't understand and respect the others opinion.

I won't dare to compare with greatly realised games. Sacred 2 and the Bayonetta demo wich are famous for their low framerate, important screen tearing and stutering are smoother than Dragon Age and remains playable.NekroWolfen wrote...
Dude... I don't know what games you play, and I respect your opinion but understand this... playing Dragon Age after uncharted 2 or even GOW Collection with an awesome framerate and nice resolution is a down!!!

What I wonder is ... what version are they trying and have they tried before repleasing this game? And what did you experience, did you actually try playing the game at all and find the outcome acceptable ???
Good money has been paid for this game, and I Can't get my money back because this stupid gamestores in Holland don't give money back or it can't be changed for something else after more than 1 day.
I am stunned, I didn't expect this from Bioware ... even EA can program for PS3, Battlefield Bad Company is awesome.
Why also do we get poor textures huh ? I guess you just did a weak port to PS3 and that's it ? Will you fix this issue, or how do I get my money back? Why did you even release this on PS3 like this?
Sorry for this reply, but I'm seriously pissed.

could it have something more to do with the tv than the ps3? or the game?
just suggesting....
OH and the HDMI cables. If you get a cheap one such as the one included with the ps3, you can expect bad quality

So why do all other games run very well on the console ? I mean, I have no other game that runs this badly. And why does everyone else have this too ? It's not like a problem on PC ... everyone has a PS3.
So you mean to say, you have no framerate issues at all huh ?
I don't have a crappy T.V. either, but like I said, every other game runs awesome on the thing. Every other game.
So are we now imagining it ?
How's your game running on your PS3 ?

I didn't get one for the PS3, because the games all ran beautifully
A version with less quality textures, if programmed correctly, should have 0 issues when it comes to framerate. It's like an old Xbox version running on PS3
