Just wondering, since my first playthrough I just named him 'dog' and I didn't get him again (video card issues...red haze of death) until this current playthrough.

My husband had seen someone mention they had named dog 'Barkspawn' and I thought that was pretty great.

My current dog's name is 'DirtDiggler'.

(yeah, a couple of beers and I though that was great...)

That's a spoof of Dirk diggler (boogey nights i think)

My dog was named SNot, Mangy, and Dimwit

Make sure you aren't using a respec mod. I did the same thing even up to wiping and re-installing but I re-installed the respec mod lol. If you disable the respec mod in downloadable content until you get the dog you should be able to name him.

Focaccia: Yes, it was a play on the name from Boogie Nights, hence my husband asking me "so, do you and your dog have a romance happening?" (ick!)

Although I still giggle when I see the name on screen.



this is the first playthrough where I've actually been using Dog after getting additional companions.

He's murder on darkspawn! He's taking all the experience *bad, bad Dirt!*

Had one named Rhell after a cat I had, but I didn't save the game and continue the character.

Ah, my husband just noted that he named his dog 'Tripod' imagining that the dog lost a leg.

On ALL playthrus, I name the Dog Mabarian, after the Breed's name: Mabari.
