Anywho, my five based on two playthroughs, one as a Dalish male and one as a Dwarven Noble Female:
Vaughan - Hasn't impacted me yet, but just from what I've read here I know I'm going to hate him with the burning of 1000 suns. I just know he's going to end up higher on the list once all is said and done.
Isolde - The voice.. argh.. it haunts me. Let her sacrifice herself the first time and saved both her and Connor the second, but both are definitely better than she deserved. The least she could have done is spoken to Eamon about what she had done.. but nope, he was still asking me about what happened at the coronation ceremony once the Archdemon was slain.
Loghain - Sure he has reasons for what he does in his own twisted mind, but that doesn't make him any less detestable. Spared him once just to see what would happen then reloaded and gave him what he deserved before continuing. A side helping of hate is reserved for his ever loyal bootlicker, Ser Cathrain.
Howe - Evil bastard. Unlike Loghain, there is no twisted logic here, just pure lust for power and a desire to inflict as much pain and suffering as possible. A true pleasure to cut him down even if it offered him the chance to speak his now infamous dying words.
Branka - Not even sure where to start with her. What she let happen to her brethren and her house is beyond words. I was completely taken aback by hearing Hespeth's words.. what Branka had allowed to happen. It was one of those put the controller down, sit back for a moment and ask yourself if you really heard what you heard moments. On top of that, you have her self as Paragon worship and her pursuit of golems even if she once she knows how exactly they are created, which somehow manages to make a wholly evil woman even worse.

Alistair wanting the throne one minute, and then turns around and ****es about it the next. <--Seriously WTF?
My older brother showing up out of no where to claim the family's land and title. <--Bastard was suppose to be dead. Everyone said he was.
Lord Harrowmont for being a sucky ruler. <--I picked you because you didn't kill your own blood for power.
Broodmother was the only real partial nudity in the game. <--What can I say, the box said one thing, and the game gave me Fat Bastard combined with Jabba the Hut.

4. Duncan in the HNF start. Invoke the rite of conscription on me? Metagaming, I understand that it is required. But in the role of a daughter wanting to save her mother, I really wanted to draw my blade and slash out at Duncan at that point.
3. Arl Eamon. Pulling Alistair into politics without bothering to consult with him? Taking his sweet time to send his armies to Ostagar? Fergus managed to march his armies all the way from Highever and arrive before the PC, but Arl Eamon, with one the largest armies available, couldn’t be bothered enough to show up on time? He is right up the road, and in fine health as far as anyone know before Ostagar. Plus his shrew of a wife. I wanted to rehire Jowan to finish the job so I could save the Ashes for someone I really card for...
2. Vaughan. The despicable excuse for a human always dies if I can help it.
1. Arl Howe. Killing him was a pleasure. Nothing more needs to be said.
Kudos to the writers and voice actors/directors to create this much emotion.

4. Branka. She brought her entire house with her to the Deep Roads and had them sacrificed just so she could find the Anvil and even allowed the women turn into Broodmothers! Just imagining what the poor souls went through, the whole thing was just... too much. Especially when you hear Hespith's chant... Probably the most haunting moment in the game for me.
3. Tie between Vaughan and that b**** of an elf in the City Elf origin. Elva, was it? The one who calls you a "spoiled brat" as a male City Elf and a I-forgot-what as a female City Elf (I played a male City Elf and I forgot what she
called the female City Elf in my sis's playthrough). I just want to smack her on the face! As for Vaughan... RARR!!! Rapist needs to die!!!
2. Eamon. I was okay with him at first. Then this whole Let's-make-Alistair-king-without-even-consulting-him thing comes up. Yeesh, you really are one piece of work, aren't you Eamon? Especially after Alistair's been raised to think that he is never to take the throne? It was fun seeing that look of disappointment on his face when I nominated Anora to rule.
1. Goldanna. The whole lot of you may hate Anora all you want (haven't had her betray me yet to hate her), but for me, Goldanna takes the cake! I swear after I met her in my first playthrough, I always have this feeling of dread whenever I'm going to do Alistair's personal quest in my other playthroughs. I just REALLY can't stand her, even though I kind of get why she's so bitter. I actually allowed Alistair to give her 15 sovereigns, hoping she would be a bit nicer. Boy, was I wrong! It's a pity there was no "kill" option on her but then again, that option wouldn't sit well with Alistair, who I was romancing. Ah, well. There is always a next time...
Honorable mentions:
a) Duncan not letting me look for Tamlen in the Dalish Elf origin. I always thought that something wasn't right the way he kept insisting that I abandon my search for Tamlen. Then I see him again at camp as a tormented Shriek. It broke my heart, and for one brief moment, i was actually p***** at Duncan.

He's just pure evil. He's Sadistic, power mad, and as treacherous as they come.
I must say though, I greatly enjoyed ripping him apart with my noble. I actually gave a very evil laugh when he died.

But seriously the top 5 people who made me want to execute a bird, not just made my blood boil and turn to poisonous bile. In order:
5 - Loghain, allowed Cailan and Duncan to die, and thousands of brave soldiers, just to keep Ferelden safe from the false threat that was Orlais.
4 - Ser Cauthrien, a blind sycophant/ Loghain bootlicker in Eamon's words, who ****es you when you speak you so much as speak, and for being sooo rediculously DIFFICULT!
3 - Orzammar and just about everything about it, their trivialy weak government, their stone-thick blindness and zealotous way of thinking they're right. When I returned as a Dwarf Noble Mlae, everyone I talked to said "How dare you return after what you did to house Aeducan!" I just wanted to say, "Not ME! It was BHELEN!!" and corra at tapsters, she was probably the worst.
2 - Bhelen, and his army of fanatics, especially the one who said I did kill Trian in the Deep roads, which I didn't, who Gorim so rightly said "You treachourous bastard!"
1 - Howe. the most pure evil character in the game, the one who instumented everything that went wrong in Ferelden that wasn't the Blight.

I'd agree with a lot of other people on Howe, Loghain and Isolde. Nasty people all. But a plea to the devs, please, pretty please don't make the characters appearance follow the character personality it spoils it a bit. The first time you see Howe and Loghain you just know who the baddies are. A bit less obvious would be better.
Yeah I remember my first playthrough as HNM hoping to see the dialogue option, "So you know he's evil right?". I still like the characters and actually understand Bioware's decision to make them obvious, subtlety is greatly under-appreciated in this day and age.

I wish I had the option (as HNM) to say to Isolde "I'm the (as far as you know) heir of Highever, grovel before your betters, you stupid Orlesian cow!" For that matter, you outrank Eamon as well, in fact you pretty much outrank everyone other than the royal family. In terms of bloodlines, you outrank Arnora even, as she is the daughter of a jumped up commoner.
Oh, at that point you're not the Teyrn of Highever; Howe is. Loghain stripped your title from you, though Anora has made it clear she will restore your lands and title to you. Plus Anora will acknowledge to the HNM that his blood will bring her claim to the throne the one thing she does not have -- noble blood.
But yes, it bothers me a bit that there isn't a bit more groveling. When Isolde said to Teagan about my HNF, "Who is this woman, Teagan," *I* wanted to answer, "I am the daughter of Bryce Cousland and I will be Teyrna of Highever. You will address me as such." Of course, this doesn't happen.
Edit: and yes, I know the HN is second child. But for all she knows, Fergus is dead.

LOL You still get respect as a Grey Warden, but yeah. Fereldan nobility do not throw their titles around much, it seems. Technically people should not address you (if you're a non-noble female) as "my lady," but they do. Wynne, at least, is ready to grovel for you when she hears you're a Cousland. Go Wynne!Hrodberht wrote...

I wanted to introduce her to my rather heavily armed fist, but my Cousland was an angry, angry girl.

When you do what First Enchanter Irving tells you to do as far as Jowan is concerned, and you still get treated like you've done something wrong. Of course he defends you, but you still get badmouthed by templars and sent away like the cat that ate the canary.
The nobles invading the Alienage, of course, but when the guards say to you, "We'll show you how MEN fight", I just want to hack them to pieces. Female gamer instinct, I suppose.

That Arl Eamon and Bann Teagan come up with this elaborate plan to make Alistair king and don't even address the fact that you're in a relationship with him. You can stand there and practically make out in front of them, and they don't even comment. You would think that they would have some dialogue if your relationship with Alistair is high enough- maybe a stern warning to knock it off, or a polite request at least, or a concerned warning. They simply don't react at all. Even if you're a human noble female, they don't even consider the possibility that you would be a possible candidate for queenship.

I'm not sure how much Teagan has to do with this particular brainstorm. He seems to just go along with his brother.

You aided a maleficar in destroying their phylactery and escaping the Circle exactly why would they be happy?

Oh, Arl Eamon WILL comment on it -- if you suggest that Alistair and Anora should get married. If Alistair is in love with you (or dumped but still in love), Eamon will give one of the reasons that he doesn't think the marriage will happen is because, "and I've seen the way he looks at YOU." But see, it's irrelevant to them. Alistair must be king, Loghain must be disposed, and that is all that matters. Even Anora will acknowledge it if you're in a relationship. If you tell her, when she asks if Alistair would even agree to the marriage, that what Alistair thinks doesn't matter, she answers something like, "And what I want doesn't matter as well." (this exchange, it doesn't matter if you're in a relationship or not.)

The mage can choose to inform Irving, and he tells her to go ahead with Jowan's and Lily's plan. He's her boss, so to speak, and technically the enchanter has the last word on the mages. She did what she was told to do by the highest mage in Ferelden.
My mage chose to not tell Irving, so he and the templar were quite right in being outraged.
