if they spent more time fighting back the blight as they did grooming their beards they wouldnt have just one city and my shield wouldnt need to be constantly fixed

Ways a dwarf could survive meeting a dragon:

1. Dragon cannot bend down far enough to snap dwarfs head off.
2. Dragon completely misses dwarf (and his futile attempts to get dragons attention) and flies off.
3. Dragon is so disgusted by the hairy little basterd, she decides itś not worth getting her teeth dirty.
4. Dwarf hides underground.

I'm okay with dwarves. Make parties much more fun, that's for sure.

Plus since I am a mage... what you can't effectively fight you better ally with.

As far as the origin.. bah, royalty don't mean anything once you get out in combat away from your bodyguards.

i love how dwarf enthusiasts are trying to turn thier favored sub human species' role as "cannon fodder" around.



no doubt they are "tough" as grunts, but ultimately, it would be artillery and tactics that has higher value, of course there is a need for mere foot-soldiers, but don't mistake prowess of a sub human species as warriors and sell-swords for "high caste".



if you think bieng a grunt is the epitome of life in the dragon age world- then fine, i'll just relax in my castle while my topless slave girls meggan fox, keira kngihtly and beyonce pleasure each other sexually at all times that i'm not using them while you wade through dirt and discarded sewage we pump down into ozamoth (whatever its called).



i'm glad you are happy with your lot in life- and i'm glad you think it is more noble, that makes you proud to be cannon fodder and you try harder at it so human losses are less at the end of the day.
