Please let the armor and weapons we HAVE carry over to ME3. I cant tell you how sad I would be to have purchased the collectors edition (Collectors armor), Terminus gear, Blooddragon armor and inferno armor, just to have them not carry over to ME3. I want to look completely bad **** wearing my collector armor in ME3, please don't make everything we have obtained go to waste!

I'd also like more sensible level migration. I'm over 50 on ME1 and in ME2 I'm 5? Just that killed pretty much all sense of continuation. Even if Shepard had suffered some severe injuries or lack of training that would still be quite an extreme drop in skill.

At the very least the drop should be less and explained well (like the huge trauma and recovery time). The other sensible option is just to migrate the level just as it is, I mean this game is about story and the sense of Shepards progression so there really is nothing against migrating a level 50 from ME2 to ME3. The game might get a bit easy, but that's a great alternative to having next to useless and unimmersive 5 "bonus" levels.

Maybe the best option would be to give us new Background story choices again:
1. "Dynasty" continuation. You start on the same level you finished the last game, and have atleast 90% of the same items.
2. "Fall" continuation. You start on low levels with 5-10% of the same items. Backstory is that you got injured, mugged etc.
3. "Mystery" continuation.  You just start on level 1 with 0 items

Originally character migration was the thing that got me interested in ME, but sadly that's already pretty much a wasted resource.

ME3 should have more exploration of the citadel because when the scene happens where you enter this huge place your like cool it looks like a city to do stuff and buy maybe cool weapons but u have limited space and it is a dissapointment. I also beleive with the ending of mass effect 2 and the choices you make go into the next game so I'm thinking in ME3 you should start off were you created your own company/business or army like cerberus and the alliance.

I want what a lot of people here have already posted so I won't go into depth on it:

-Some more armor customization options

-Some meaningful weapon upgrades (like weapon stabilizers from ME1 etc.)

-A MAJOR twist

-Somewhat less linear gameplay if possible

-Take out the tedious recruit/assist missions if possible

-Squadmates interacting with each other once in a while aboard the Normandy would be nice

-An easier/less repetitive/more interesting way of acquiring essential minerals

-A little more variety in our enemies - i.e. more unique mobs as opposed to the same troopers

There might be a few more but I'm not going to think too hard about it. But the main one that sticks out in my mind is this.

-SATISFYING conclusions to all romance sub-plots

I can't stress this one enough. If there is one thing that keeps me playing BioWare games it is the romance plots in their games. I'm a sucker for a romantic tale, and for me to truly enjoy ME3 I need to see my romances with Ashley, Miranda, and Tali come to satisfying ends. Please make it happen BW!

Give us a Matrix Revolutions ending. OR make that one of the possible endings if you guys can. For those of you who don't know what that is - it'd be where Shepard's LI dies shortly before the last battle, and then Shepard would sacrifice himself to save everyone. Would be pretty cool for a closure of the trilogy.

1. Keep the planet scanning. Introduce an imaging system upgrade that allows you to see resource "hotspots" on the planet surface. For example: while scanning for for platinum you see concentrations of it on the surface, move your crosshairs over the area and launch probe. Same for the other minerals. This would make the whole process faster and more enjoyable.

2. Keep the thermal clips but bring back weapon mods.If people want to use things like frictionless materials and simply spam bullets ,fine, but at the cost of reduced damage. Make ammo powers available for everyone where logical. For example: Garrus isn't biotic so he can't therefore generate warp ammo. Shredder, incendiary, armour piercing, and disruptor are for everyone. Also keep ammo choices in the power wheel.

3. Can we sell some stuff please? Increased shop inventories would also be super. WTF happened to all the other manufacturers in galaxy? I'd like to see items that are only available in the Terminus Systems and vice versa in Council Space. More shops, more goods. There's few too many vendors in both ME and ME2.

4. Squad needs armour. I'll buy it, raid merc shipments for it or better yet, give some of those resources I've been mining to Mordin and he can make us some. Let me select what the squad is going to wear just before the missions start and allow me to customize their armour in the armoury the way i can customize sheps in the capt's quarters. And don't forget to helmet toggle!

5. Keep the load out screen. It's awesome and it make sense. I'm not carrying the huge ass inventory around with me like I did in ME1, thank god. Simply expand ME2's inventory to allow for weapon/armour mods during missions. If we purchase new gear (armour or weapons) during a trip through a merchant district, give the option to equip on the spot or send the merch back to the ship. Don't toss the research system out! Keep it the same!

6. Party banter during missions. See DA:O for details.

7. The ability to "romance" our LI's in varying locations, multiple times throughout the game. I don't mean anytime you want but more often than just before the "Big" mission, after would be nice too. For example: Miranda really likes a certain piece of music (can't remember the name) maybe Shep could pick up a copy somewhere and invite her up to the capt.'s quarters for a listen. If we can have some drinks and chill with Chalkwas, we should be able to do the same with our LI's. Put simply: make the romances seem less like one stands and flesh them out more.

8. Don't change the combat. It rocks. Christina Norman, please have my children.

9. No space combat or multiplayer. Never. Ever.

!0. Make it HUGE. Like12 disks. I'll settle for 3-5 though.

11. Aria. Just a one nighter or friends with benefits for renegade inclined Sheps but only if Shep has something she really wants. Not as a squad mate. Although, if she does turn out to be Aleena, I'd like to see a Wrex meets Aria scene. She almost seems sad during the dialogue that hints of her being Aleena, I want to know why.

12. Some sort of freaky, alien death critter for the aquarium. Sunfish are nice but I want some as before never seen ugly, dangerous mini sea monster.

13. Some open area, sandbox style planets like in ME1. I want to explore again. I know the Hammerhead is coming, but I'd like to see some ruins, bizzare landscapes and barren worlds. So many times have I scanned a planet and thought " I wish I could land there." Let us land there and explore! Example: Preying Mouth, Armeni or Junthor and nameless others!

14. If the Normandy needs fuel then we must also have to discharge the drive core. On the planets that are suitable for discharge, make missions or random battles at some of the planets that have travel advisories. If there's a pirate, geth or mercenary warning let us take the risk and sometime be rewarded (punished) with combat. Also some random exploration of mysterious planets (Preying Mouth) while discharging would also be amazing. Just take the Hammerhead for a spin or head out on foot and check things out..

15. Bring back the ability to board the Normandy without having to leave orbit everytime. If I want to leave, I'll hit up the galaxy map. Airlocks and elevators. Loved 'em. Airlocks would be nice to have again. Felt so seemless.

16. Open concept areas in some environments. I understand why the Presidium was off limits in ME2 but lets have it back for ME3 as well as something like an expanded Illium (maybe the streets groundside) . It be oh so very awesome to be walking around on street level, looking up at the huge towers. Expand all existing locales that exist within ME and ME2. More Omega, Citadel, Port Hanshan, Illium etc. Bigger, more.

Where did the vehicle go!? Please. . . Give it back!!

I loved the driving aspect of the game. It really gave you a sense of how large the game was. It mad me feel cramped having to walk around everywhere. I'm not exactly sure why, but for some reason whenever I got into the vehicle the game just felt that much bigger to me. I loved it. It may not have driven the best, but it sure was a great part to the game. I heard of talk about them creating a vehicle, but I've completed the game, and explored every planet with no success of driving one, nor did I see a place where one could be used.

Is this a joke? The Mako made me want to shoot myself.

The MAKO wasn't that bad. I mean, yeah it handled like a shopping cart and my assault rifle did more damage but it had potential.

Plus making something happen around the environment would be great. Now they are just dead silent trips in emptyness. Teammates should talk and operate some parts of the vehicle like extra turrets or navigation, or vehicles should have a radio of some sort with news and occassional tunes.

For me the biggest thing is that in Mako the 3 person team suddenly changes into a solo act. This is why I also hate how my teammates magically revive after fights but my death is always instant gameover. Driving also reminds of Spiderman2 in its yawning emptyness.  Damages or physics never really bothered me.

I'm pretty sure everything I'm gonna say was repeated somewhere else, but I don't have the time to read through 100+ pages.

1. More squad dialog. Just because I don't wanna romance Jack/Tali/Miranda/etc. doesn't mean the conversations shouldn't end.
Tali: You're not gonna bed me? Then fine! The engines are WAY more important than our friendship.
The dialog progression should have some kinda fork. One path is romance,
the other is friendship. I'm thinking the ME team can learn from the
DA:O team in this regard.

2. Squad banter, either like in DA:O with predetermined area triggers, or like in KotOR2, with more dynamic/cinematic conversations occurring on the ship. Maybe even both.

3. Please, don't tie persuasion into the Paragon/Renegade scores. They severely limit roleplay. Forvan pissed my Paragade Shepard off with his poison stunt. Shepard wanted to give him a taste of his own medicine. But no, he didn't have enough Renegade points, so he had to have someone else shoot him. I'd suggest some kind of universal persuasion talent to dump points into.

4. Less linear upgrade system to increase customization.

5. Weapon mods. Bring them back, again in the name of customization.

6. More armor pieces. Again, customization. Especially headwear along the lines of the visor; something that gives a boost, but minimizes head obscuring.

7. More missions/assignments requiring subtlety/finesse/tact instead of straight-up shooting. Samara's loyalty mission was a good start, but I'd like more.

How about Some new Species we haven't seen yet? Like the Predator off of the predator movie or even the Aliens. or maybe another monogendered race. I mean come on it's a huge galaxy, there is got to be more out there.

or how about the Covenant off of Halo (I don't know about that one But I'm gonna throw it in there)

or maybe some super*being.

how about more diversity in animals?

[Edit] how about combined some wepons like the shotgun on the hand grip of the assault rifle. or my specialty "grenades" make them more powerful like blow a crater in the ground.

PoliteAssasin? thats a funny a** name. lol

Ability to unequip weapons.

Just put an "Empty" slot at the top of each weapon type in the armory. It could apply to just Shepard or all the squadmates. That way I can run around without a big heavy weapon or a stack of guns on my back. Also it would be cool to unequip all weapons, except maybe the carnifex, and just use biotic powers.

My reasons for this are purely aesthetic. My ONLY complaints with ME1 and 2 is that I have to run around with all my weapons on my back. With a single player game like this, I have to stare at the back of my character for hours on end. How appealing the character looks is of great importance to myself and should be to anyone planning on playing this game for more than a few hours.

If someone was to accidently go out on a mission without re-equipping their weapons or suitable weapons for the mission, then thats their fault for not being a good gamer. They would then have to reload a save, restart the mission, or tough it out and survive.

I know Bioware says they listen to the fans and take feedback, so I hope you read this. This could be easily done with a patch for ME2 or just implemented in ME3. The most aesthetically pleasing part of ME2 for me was (Possible spoiler?) the first minute, when Shepard awakes and has no gear on his back. The moment I was forced to pick up the grenade launcher that all came crashing down. Thanks for your time and hopefully Bioware considers this.

Reduce loading times.

Add much more banter between sqad-mates, with an option to shut them up.

More powers

Branching Powers, evolving a power was nice no do that for every other rank.

Hey bioware,

Please get JESPER KYD for the soundtrack/music on mass effect 3. He's the best out there for anything sci-fi. I still think he did an unbelievable job with mdk 2. Jack Wall is good for stuff like dragon age origins ( something more medieval). But,,,Man...JESPER KYD is tailor made for me 3. He is the sci-fi king. Cmon, bioware...Some of the music on me2 (which is otherwise easily the best game i've played so far) was so not right for what i was seeing in front of me.

the only fun thing to do with the mako was to drive to the top of a mountain in an unexplored planet and snipe enemies from a location that wasnt right in front of their faces. i miss that in mass effect 2.

This.

Mass Effect has already cemented itself at the top of my list as one of the greatest video game experiences I'm likely to have, and the 3rd one isn't even out yet. I've already played through 1 and 2 more times than 95% of any other game I've played.

If Bioware could manage half the stuff in this list, I'd sign away my firstborn.

While I realize that it might be a bit difficult to bring into the game, some sort of Close Combat Weapon should be included. Not only for gameplay mechanics but also for the universe itself. I always found it strange that a warrior race like the Krogan just use shotguns most of the time and sometimes decide to tackle you.

I don't want to go all DevilMayCry with ME3, but I think some type of close combat weapon could work if done right. I guess some sort of energy sword or baton would be a good idea. This of course would also be just one of several weapons and you have to decide if you want to upgrade it or not.

If your Romance option is Tali, somehow find a temporary (or permanent) cure for her immune system so she can be unsuited, or at the least, we get to see what she looks like. Dont get me wrong, i liked the fact Quarians have been masked in the ME1+2, and that its a mystery. But if ME3 is the close to the trilogy, would be nice to know what they actually look like.

To add somethinbg to my close combat post above: I was bit dissapointed on how Jack turned out. I mean, the moment we meet here, he trashed 3 of those big Mechs barehanded, but after that scene she keeps using pistols, shotguns and some regualr Biotic Powers. And her special power was to make her bullets even better. That doesn't really seem to fit with what I got from her history. At the end of the game, Shephard was a better Biotic than she was.

I have a proposal to the intro in mass effect whit some sort of celebration on the Normandy's observation deck or on the Citadel for taking down the Collectors. and to get the story rolling and if you are on the Normandy Captain Andersson will send you a message in the brefing room to say that you should come to the citadel and speak whit the coucil in person or if you are on the citadel in bar then Captain andersson will come down to tak whit shepard and request to speak to him alone about the council. That all i have for now.
continue
When Captain Andersson send the message or meet you in a bar on the citadel the first option on the Normandy you take the ship directly to the citaldel and in the docking area Ashley/Kaiden is waiting for you to come to citadel they are there to lead you to the citadel council and between Ashley/Kaiden and Commander Shepard they disscusse what have happen in the battel against the collectors and a romatic sub plot ( here the first consequence if you have been loyal or not ). If you are on the citadel bar after David Andersson has talk to shepard you go to the citadel council and in the tower you meet the Ashley/Kaiden. They come to the citadel tower and meet whit the council whit counsilour Andersson or udina depending on your choice in Mass effect 2. Here they ask about what happen beyond the omega 4 relay where shepard tells everything and if sqaudmates have died to say what they sacrifice them self for and Commader Shepard tell the council what tey need to do but the council member say that you don't are allow to make demand of council but then at least shepard ask to be fully reinstated and that the citadel fleet at least is set on the higest alert level and that he get gather more information where the reapers are beging there attack ( and to gather allied like the rachine ). Thats all for now.
alright, i dont know how to do the little square thing, but for the close quarters combat weapon, i would settle for an old fashioned combat knife when you press B instead of just throwing your elbow. i mean, who doesnt want to see shepard use it in a cut scene?
