1st off... where's my hot black chick?!!

And 2... I want to see relationships actually continue in the next one... not just "oh she ran off somewhere, but I still love her! What a great gal she was before... you know, she left."

and 3... the original trailer had me thinking I was going to be choosing which planets I would save and which ones ate it. But I never did. :(

and 4) Where's my hot black chick?!!

Oh and one more thing... Inviting Jack back up to my room for company is awesome... good idea, but then I ran back downstairs and she's still like "I said I need to think about it!" and I'm like "You already did! We've been through this you stupid girl. We did a whole thing upstairs about it!"

So give some fulfilling "Gee I'm glad we got together" dialog at the end. And then replay THAT convo over and over...

PS... When she sits on my lap and is talking at me (upstairs) I look PISSED.

Oh and... MAKE A FUNNY SHEPHERD!!! MORE JOKES FROM SHEPHERD!!!

I do agree with bringing earth in for ME 3, but the classes need to be tuned into with the dialogue i even emailed BioWare about this. I'm tired of picking an Adept and then while I'm intimidating some one i pull out a pistol or a sub machine gun. Use your class talents don't force everyone on being a soldier.

if you want melee weapons like that, go play kotor or dragon age. this is the future, why the hell would you be lugging around a big hammer when you are armed to the teeth with rifles and pistols? i say a combat knife because we will never grow past that. as for the class animations, it would take a lot of extra animations that wouldnt always be used. it would be wasted space on the discs.

even just having the omni tool have a small blade when you pressed melee would be nice though.

Ooh, I like this one. Absolutely agree. That'd be really cool to see you charge up your biotics instead of pull a gun. Renegade interrupts would be slinging them around with your biotics. Sounds cool of they could manage it.

I do not want the inventory from ME1, but I do see where you are going. I'd say that the inventory in ME2 was VERY good but could of course use improvements. More of how a player in a FPS could customize their weapon before a match would be nice in ME3. Something from ME1 that focuses more detail on the weapons. Like what the OP listed: More ammo, better accuracy, more impact from shots, wall piercing rounds, etc.

I would like the inventory for the armor to stay the one it is from ME2 but with far more option than what they gave us. Maybe give some pieces of armor that give more than just 1 boost. Like gauntlets could be both recoil absorber & ammo booster. Another gauntlet could increase Shields & Health. Make it where it actually feels like there is a difference from choosing armor than a simple make over.

DO NOT DO NOT remove the system of having the enemies lvl up with the character. You can have some more difficult enemies like Scion  or even some new enemy like a mother Varren that is x20 the size of a normal one and would require kiting skills and a new a mechanic like side dodging added to the game.  But NOTHING that you have to be a certain lvl to defeat them.

Such a system would LESSEN the want of exploration than promote it. For example, say that you notice many star systems on the map, but about 3 or so of them you cannot go to because the difficulty is too high. Now you only have the option of going to the other X amount of systems because they are at your lvl range. Now your doing nothing more than creating the illusion of total exploration than actual exploration. I have seen this done in JRPG's SO MANY TIMES.

Sure you have this huge world to explore, but now you have to avoid MANY areas if you don't want your party to wipe. Also because of this system there is very little to no reason to have harder difficulties since there are enemies who are already far beyond your lvl. Having enemies far beyond your lvl in areas is nothing more than a cheap trick to keep you in a linear path with the player unknowingly following along. Just keep your current way of lvling, please Bioware don't change it.

P.S.  I LOVE Mass Effect because it doesn't play like a JRPG in many ways.   A game can still be an RPG without it going into the JRPG area.   I don't want a ton of items that are useless with abilities that are useless when needed (FF VERY GUILTY OF THAT: poison, bio, potion {after a certain lvl}, demi {When do we ever really use this when we need to?  Bosses and semi-bosses are immune to it, this includes most hard hitting minor enemies}, more than half the inventory in nearly all JRPG's, list could go on and on.   Good move in ME2, but give us some options for customization.

I have a proposal to the intro in mass effect whit some sort of celebration on the Normandy's observation deck or on the Citadel for taking down the Collectors. and to get the story rolling and if you are on the Normandy Captain Andersson will send you a message in the brefing room to say that you should come to the citadel and speak whit the coucil in person or if you are on the citadel in bar then Captain andersson will come down to tak whit shepard and request to speak to him alone about the council. That all i have for now.
continue
When Captain Andersson send the message or meet you in a bar on the citadel the first option on the Normandy you take the ship directly to the citaldel and in the docking area Ashley/Kaiden is waiting for you to come to citadel they are there to lead you to the citadel council and between Ashley/Kaiden and Commander Shepard they disscusse what have happen in the battel against the collectors and a romatic sub plot ( here the first consequence if you have been loyal or not ). If you are on the citadel bar after David Andersson has talk to shepard you go to the citadel council and in the tower you meet the Ashley/Kaiden. They come to the citadel tower and meet whit the council whit counsilour Andersson or udina depending on your choice in Mass effect 2. Here they ask about what happen beyond the omega 4 relay where shepard tells everything and if sqaudmates have died to say what they sacrifice them self for and Commader Shepard tell the council what they need to do but the council members say that you don't are allow to make demand of council but then at least shepard ask to be fully reinstated and that the citadel fleet at least is set on the higest alert level and that he get gather more information where the reapers are beging there attack ( and to gather allied like the rachine ). Thats all for now.

continue

When Shepard walk away from the council room David Andersson is coming to talk whit him/her that the Alliance brass whant to promote him/her to captain on earth. Shepard is to accept it and Andersson and him/her is leaving the citadel tower when outside Emily Wong is waiting on Shepard when she see him/her then she ask if she is going to get that interview with Shepard ( accept or refuse to do it ) When he accept then David Andersson are going to suggest that they could do it over in the human embassy to have the interview there. The first question Emily Wong is going to ask it that about the hunt after Saren and what happen on Noveria, Feros, Therum, Virmirre and Ilos. The second question is what Shepard have been doing for the past two years he was gone and what happen when they jump through the Omega 4 relay. Third is about his/hers promotion to captain and what Shepard is planing to do now whit his/hers spector status have been fully reinstated. when leaving the embassy Ashley/kaiden meet up whit Shepard to ask to join him/her again ( if love interest then they ask to begin the relationship again ). when they coming down to the Normandy then Shepard offers David Andersson the captain cabin. And Shepard meets Ashley/Kaiden in the crew quarters where they talk about the relationship if there was a love interest there. If male then Shepard propose to Ashley, female then Kadien will propose. After they talk and got engaged, there after they kiss and Ashley/Kaiden go out to the mess While Shepard goes to plot a course to earth. during that time it takes to earth Shepard is talking whit David Andersson.

When they arrive to earth and docking whit the port on earth they are meet by Liara T'soni ( first consence if love interest ) Liara ask Shepars for help against the Shadow broker to defeat him. Shepard agrees to help her but first he/her is going to the ceremony where they are going to promote Shepard to captain in the Alliance military headquarters on earth. inside the headquarter Shepard is getting a privet room to redy him/her self and to get dress in the captain alliance uniform ( if spacer then Shepards mother  is going to show up and talk how proud she is, if colonist then the fellow survivor from Mindoir Talitha and if earth born then an old friend want to speak whit Shepard in the lobby of the headquarter which is going to be one from Shepards old gang the reds ). Thats all for now.

I hope we can get a second chance to rekindle love with the ME1 love interests, like Liara. I only went with Miranda cuz she was there for me and Liara seemed to not care anymore.

but yeah, a second chance would be nice

Hey bioware,
Please get JESPER KYD for the soundtrack/music on mass effect 3. He's the best out there for anything sci-fi. I still think he did an unbelievable job with mdk 2. Jack Wall is good for stuff like dragon age origins ( something more medieval). But,,,Man...JESPER KYD is tailor made for me 3. He is the sci-fi king. Cmon, bioware...Some of the music on me2 (which is otherwise easily the best game i've played so far) was so not right for what i was seeing in front of me.

Not that I would object to JESPER KYD, but I disagree with your opinion on the Mass Effect music. I thought it was absolutely amazing and helped the immersion factor immensely, for both ME1 and ME2. I got the ME1 soundtrack recently and listening to it made me feel nostalgic, and I realized how much I missed playing ME1

Jack Wall is just amazing, period. :D

Yup, in ME2 only Miranda, Jacob and Mordin was taking place at the briefs with illusive man in small room. Also was a little dissapointed with this thing, but its not so big disadvantage imo.

^ they needed seats(like in aria's-omega) lol. i also feel the characters never really tied into the story as well. i believe in ME1 the briefing room added to this. but inME2 they may only talk about the mission once or twice- being detached...

add to my wish list-
Improved model movement/fluidity
with the cinematic sequences i notice the movements of the models more so. its improved greatly since ME1 but its still a bit jerky-especially in intimate character scenes eg Liara. or with object interaction- like when shep leans on the rails in the Gunnery area, or when Jack leans on the mission brief table; both floating and not really touching the surface. Pulls you out of the experience. keep tweeking and improving all round :D

Inventory/weapons (my 2 cents)

-I love the new system in ME2-making you think about the weapons you bring without slowing the mission pace down. And i prefer this system. But i would like a few more weapons for each gun(specific title/brand and style. not a repeat of eg Predator IV).
-I believe a list of weapon-stats in the description of the pros/cons of the gun, would help making them feel different. eg the sound, reload time, weight/movement of the crosshair, bullet burst speed/amount,shield/power dmg etc. anything bioware deems appropriate for the ME universe.
-Perhaps the upgrades could still be done overall/or to each gun by making upgrade-parts. so internal mechanics in the gun/or external(scopes-have to change external appearance) can be spread to 1-type-of weapon eg all-pistols, without slowing down the weapon/upgrade system. eg Upgrade-dmg-1 for Carnifex Hand Cannon will be able to be enabled and put into another Heavy pistol.
-I believe each upgrade for each weapon and the weapons itself will need to be greatly balanced else players will end up using the latest weapon with the others being cast away.(understandable for the 1st 'level' of weapons but as you collect more there should be pros/cons/preference) or there can be a overpowering to specific weapons with upgrades. eg thermal clip increase upgrade added to a sniper riffle would deem other weapons useless.

so weapon-specific-upgrades and balance is important. perhaps grab ideas from leading franchises. importrant also to make upgrades not tedious eg. dmg +10, dmg +20 etc. this deems the other upgrade +10dmg, useless and slows down the pace. less is more, specfic wellthought out- is more :police:

Comprehensive list right here people. Just add satisfying ends to Shepherds LI's (Please don't kill them off, or at least let our actions decide the outcome of their survival) and you're good to go.

Also...

RhedmondBarry wrote...

Ability to unequip weapons.

Just
put an "Empty" slot at the top of each weapon type in the armory. It
could apply to just Shepard or all the squadmates. That way I can run
around without a big heavy weapon or a stack of guns on my back. Also
it would be cool to unequip all weapons, except maybe the carnifex, and
just use biotic powers.

My reasons for this are purely
aesthetic. My ONLY complaints with ME1 and 2 is that I have to run
around with all my weapons on my back. With a single player game like
this, I have to stare at the back of my character for hours on end. How
appealing the character looks is of great importance to myself and
should be to anyone planning on playing this game for more than a few
hours.

This.

Mass Effect has already cemented itself at the top of my list as one of the greatest video game experiences I'm likely to have, and the 3rd one isn't even out yet. I've already played through 1 and 2 more times than 95% of any other game I've played.

If Bioware could manage half the stuff in this list, I'd sign away my firstborn.

Thank you for agreeing with me, hopefully Bioware can do something about this.  It would be a quick and easy fix and would make Shepard look 300% better in my opinion.

I hope we get to fight some Hannar, Volus, and Elchor. They'd be pretty interesting fights i imagine. Volus being tiny and sneaky, hannar being elusive and just plain freaky to fight, and elchor just being gigantic tanks. I want to fight more non-humans in 3 please.  Maybe more crazy alien monsters and ****.

1) Make my choices play a MAJOR role in ME3. Even though there were a lot of little choices that had a small effect in ME2 I feel like the huge choice I made at the end of ME1 really didn't play that differently than if I had chosen the opposite. The end game decision of ME2 should vastly effect the way ME3 plays out throughout the entire game.

2) Helmet toggling. Helmets are great, but not if they are constantly on during conversations as most of them distort the voice and cover Shepard's face. I only used the visor for most of the game since that only slightly obscured the view of Shepard's face. The ME1 helmet system was much better.

3) Get rid of planet scanning. This one has been driven into the ground already but I figured I'd put that on here. And even if something similar comes back in ME3 at least make it where you can buy/sell minerals at some kind of marketplace (this is something that could actually be added to ME2 with a patch or dlc). Planet scanning is the one thing that's keeping me from thoroughly looking forward to my 2nd and 3rd playthroughs of ME2.

4) Make the Citadel bigger. ME1's Citadel actually felt like it was a large space station that houses 13 million people while ME2's felt incredibly small and nothing more than a nice marketplace.

That's it for now. I'm sure I'll be back with more some other time.

I loved that Mako. Personally, I think I'm one of the minority who actually mastered driving it. Dodging rockets and doing complete 180 degree turns was a cinch.

Rememebr on Feros in ME1 when, after taking Lizbeth along with you, you had to go down the ramps to bring her back to her mom? There was an opening in the wall separating the two parallel ramps, just big enough for a sideways-moving Mako to fit through. I drove next to it, flushed the thrusters, turned, and pulled off a perfect 180 spin though the opening.

It was just so great being able to have the Mako and exploring a vast openness, meeting some shifty-eyed-cows and space monkeys, and blasting space pirates to all hell!

Another thing is connecting yourself to the world.

On the story missions in Mass Effect 1, like Feros, when you docked you actually had to walk to the air-lock and leave. It just really put the plug in the socket for me. Just connected and sent the sparks going.

One more thing, this game suffers from what I like to call AssassinsCreedPlotErrorsim

In Assassins Creed 1, right from the get go you knew the entire layout of the story. Find these pricks, sit on a bench, shove a knife in their necks, rinse, lather, repeat.

It felt the same with Mass Effect 2. Right after Freedom's Progress, during Martin Sheen's excellent performance he gave you your mission specs. Find these pricks, bring them on your ship, do something nice for them, repeat ad nauseum, beat the game.

When you know the structure of every mission, of what you need to do to get everyone out alive (do their side quests, which were pretty damn good, especially Jacobs and Thanes), and what you'll be doing at the endgame, it really dampens any anticipation.

I felt myself driving forward to get to the end without really appreciating the world around me. The only thing that really interrupted the rinsing and lathering was getting the squadmate from the abandoned Reaper (trying to avoid spoilers while making sense). It wasn't planned. It wasn't part of your hair washing technique. It was a derivation from everything I was expecting and it felt great. Then, well, the game found the tracks again and made me do another loyalty quest and then endgame level.

I really love Mass Effect 2, but it just felt small and unexciting.

The endgame of Mass Effect 1 gave me a flurry of emotions, especially Jokers badass Normandy Back Flip to finish off Sovereign, and the presumption that Shepard was crushed by Reaper-Bits while he climbed out, limping, but triumphantly from the wreckage.

High hopes for the amazingness of ME3!

i havent read all the post on this forum yet, but i think it would be a kool idea to have diffrent factions either helping  Commander Shepard working against him/her for some reason, like maybe like alien group like Cerberus, and maybe something like dragon age origins how u not only gain allies, but an army and help equip them.
