what i thought that in mass effect 2, it is a great game but. How you complete then main mission should not be reveal from the start like you now where the omega 4 relay are. I think it would be better if you also have to gather information where the relay are like in the first mass effect and you must find the Mu relay.

I like that 2 felt so DIFFERENT from 1 in that reguard. 1 was about discovery, 2 was about planning. It helps the games stand out on their own and not be just like a sequel where it's just "the same game but with more levels and guys to shoot" Making each game unique is the key to making this a strong trilogy.

I don't remember if I said this in an earlier post, but really...ME2 is TOO dependent on cover.

I think about it and realize enemies did often take a good amount of time to do lots of damage to you in the first game...but in ME2 it feels like Shepard and Co. are really weak.

I think that Bioware has now more than enough ideas and wishes from us to begin with. What I am interested in is the one or another programmer's oppinion :) Bioware? What do you say? Do you like our ideas?

Bring back Aria T'Loak (and Omega).... she was an awesome character and the feeling of Omega drew me into the game straight away.

What i wish for Mass Effect 3:

1. The ability for Commander shepard to dance properly! Im so sick of his 'poser' dance moves. >.<

(I hope cerberus didn't mess up his timing and hence will never be able to dance again!)

Ah yes another thing I forgot about. Fix the guns that are shown during cut scenes. My Vanguard never has used an assault rifle and yet that is the gun that Shepard is shown with in most of the cut scenes.

Come up with a strong plot driven main storyline while writing side quests which are character driven.  Essentially the best elements of ME1 and ME2's storyline.  Get rid of these random *pew* *pew* missions.

Make party member switches matter more in ME3 than they did in ME1 and ME2. I LOVED it when you had to choose specific party members in the last part of the game who fit a certain profile. I am not saying that ALL missions should be like that, but more side missions should be like that. The mission should not be about what character is the best for the mission like the ending of ME2, but what group of allies would work best for the mission. That way not only do we switch weapons during a fight, but we switch allies as well to keep from working with favorites alone.

After playing Awakening for awhile, I began to realize how boring and tedious playing old school fantasy RPGs were. ME2 has spoiled me because I don't think I can play DA, WoW or any other RPG again since they all rely on tedious inventory systems, redundant upgrades, and an increasing amount of spells and abilities.

ME2 had a clear focus on balance and simplicity and that created a great game! I know Christina was quoted on adding more RPG elements to ME3, but the mining element in this game (which they talked about getting rid of) is just a reminder of how farming for gear, weapons, and materials only succeeds in slowing down the forward motion of the game.

As for my wishlist, I just want one thing: separation of global cooldowns for tech, biotic, and combat abilities. That way, you won't have to waste time hiding behind cover while you wait between stripping defenses and following it up with your biotic/concussive combos. Obviously this won't be balanced for ME2, but make it happen in ME3!

tempest, it was already like that. certain characters were great against certain enemies. i always used tali against geth, mechs and husks because she kept us from getting swarmed.

Yeah but I think what he means is appart from combat, like Rouges/thieves in fantasy RPGs beeing able to disable traps.

More defined character roles for certain situations is really what I want to see as well. ME2 made a good start at the end, it made you feel like really having a crew and not just interchangable gun holders.

I have one thing to say about the cut scenes in Mass effect 2, they are really good but when you have a weapon in the hands is an assult rifle or when some one starts argue whit Shepard he drags forward a sub machin gun. even if Shepard isan't are practise in, i would like see shepard to drag forward a weapn he/here was traind in.

Hey all. I posted not too long ago but I just thought of some things in more detail that I wanted to get out here. I also think that what Im feeling a desire for is similar to what many other in this thread have expressed and I just wanted to be on the same page.

1. Ensemble Cast: I believe that Mass Effect 3 should not have an entirely new cast but instead be a combination of the casts from the first and second game. Now I've been thinking about ME3 alot and I believe that Bioware is going in this direction anyway but I just wanted to put my support behind it. I feel that an ensemble cast is the best choice because it will allow Shepard to continue the relationships he's formed with his crew and deepen them all together. This would allow the player to feel as though this team really has become the ships crew and family rather than just a group of people assembled for a specific mission. Would a couple of new characters be nice as well? Sure, but if that isn't possible I would be completely satisified with just the return of the ME1 and 2 cast.

2. Love Interests: I feel like the most unifying desire in these threads is the continuation of the LI's. It may not be the most important thing on most peoples lists but it seems like its something the vast majority wants to happen. This kind of goes along with the ensemble cast because if the entire cast comes back from ME 1 and 2 than the LI's can be continued in ME3 without playing favorites. All the LI's will be there so it wouldn't be excluding anyone. Beyond the continuation though it seems like most people want something else: a form of union.

Of course when I say that the first thing that probably comes to mind is marriage, and Ill admit that thought has crossed my thoughts as well, but when it comes down to it I cant really imagine a marriage taking place in ME. Its just seems too cheesy and it probably wouldn't feel right. What Im suggesting though is not necessarily marriage. Rather sort of closure to the relationship that makes it feel lasting. That, after all, seems to be the reason why we all want the continuation of the LI's in the first place. There's a desire for those relationships to be deeper than just a fling or one game romance. People want to see it as more of a lasting love (of course not everyone wants that Im sure, but Im just speaking about what I think is the overall opinon). So all I'm asking for is some sort of union or feeling of permanance to happen between Shepard and the LI. And it would be nice for each LI to have a different type of ending to the relationship but still have them all indicate a lasting romance.

3. Executive Officer: The other major trend I've seen in these threads is the desire to get closer  friendship wise to your companions, and I agree. Don't get me wrong ME2 definitely made major strides in this area by putting more friendly dialogue between you and certain characters (Garrus's interactions were great) but theres still more room for a little bit of improvement. So  I suggest something like a Love Interest but this time you get to choose an "Executive Officer" or "Second in Command". This character would basically be like your Best Friend Interest (although putting it in that phrasing would just sound lame). This would create that vital friendship aspect that so many seem to desire from Shepard. It would work much the same way the LI's do. You get to choose someone from your squad, except this time it would be any member, not limited by gender or character) to be your XO and then that character would give you unique dialogue and after a few conversations going down that path there would be some special scene or quest to show these two have become really close friends (the friendship version of the sex scene for the Love Interest).

4. Armor and Weapons: For armor I would love to seem more components. Thats it. Just alot more components, maybe with some that have really unique and strange effects. For weapons it would be nice to have at least three to four types of each. I felt like the pistol kind of got neglected in that area and since I play as an Adept I was slightly dissapointed. I would actually much rather have a unique pistol only Adepts can use instead of just being able to use assault rifles.

5. Planet Scanner: Before I expressed a desire to get rid of the planet scanner all together. Now I dont feel so strongly about that. All the scanner really needs is to go faster or have a much bigger area. Or have some sort of minigame that makes scanning more entertaining. Even if it was just taking the white arrow that usually points to anomalys and making it point to elements too. That would be a big help.

6. Ending: My final request is that there be some really deep epilogue. Not hours long or anything just basically something to tie up all the major parts of the game. One thing Im really hoping for above all others in the epilogue though is having unique dialogue that provides closure for each of your crew members. Just something I thought up: asking or persuading (though ME 3 being the last game it would just be for the players imagination/satisfaction) each of the crew members to stay aboard the Normandy as permanent crew. And I don't know if its obvious from this that I hope Shepard lives through the end of the last game.
K. Thats it. Sorry for taking up so much space. Just wanted to be thorough.

PS. Oh and also keep the unique crew member missions (loyalty missions). Those are great.

Another thing: cover should be less obvious, maybe even less plentiful. The presence of obvious cover made ambushes and the like completely ineffective because the sudden bunch of crates around the corner gives everything away. Shields/barriers could last longer under fire to compensate.

Oh, and more on combat: can enemies not have a Shepard radar that lets them know EXACTLY where he/she is behind cover? It's kinda ridiculous.

hello bioware,

Is there a chance, you'd let shepherd take more than two squadmates with him/her at any time?? Its always restricted to "2" (both in me 1 and 2). Would be nice if i could take grunt, garrus and thane (3 squad mates) on the reaper iff mission for instance , y'know? I wouldn't mind at all if the insanity difficulty on ME 3 is truly madly deeply horrifying. But, we get the option of taking more than just 2 squad mates on the mission. ( 3 to 4 squadmates would be great..)

thanks, god bless.

I'd like to see Shiala and Gianna play more important roles - perhaps even come aboard the Normandy! (I'd like to see them both as squadmates too but I figure that is asking a bit much)

What i fear about ME3?

There is something I fear. It begun with ME2. I fear Bioware will be greedy. Like this u want better armor buy other crappy game there is an ad on. That happened with Dragon Age. or Buy game in certain shop to get more options. Or Buy Game with 2 squad mates (you sure can compete the mission) other squad mates..... sure .... you can buy them in our mall. Some posts on new char Kasumi suggest that it will be commercial add on.

I'm OK with commercial add ons but they should give us quite bit of game play full dialog/romance etc.

some thoughts about armor.
I want that armor will be back (as in ME1) connected to the Shepard class somehow.
In here they don't care if u play soldier or adept u carry same chunky armor. At the same time Miranda goes on in her casual outfit thats is silly. Squad mates should carry specific gear at the mission.

I agree totally i got that fear to, wiht the blood dragon armor it don't even fit in the Mass effect universe. And that part you could only buy certain stores, plus those stores are in North america and not in Europe. But what really angryd me was that Dr peppars add on whit the visors. Before Mass effect 2 was releast the visor where shown as being part of the game then. You got know it an add on which you only can get if you live North america bull ****, what the hell bioware are selling games over the entire world and then go one and doing something like this why is bioware limit them self i dont understand ther reasonig.

More exploration would be cool than just probing planets but either way is fine. Only thing on my wish list is please for the love of everything that's good don't even try to integrate a co-op system into the game. Keep it as the best damn single player experience I've played through.

One more thing the romance plot to little dialogue to get to know the character. But one thing you could do was to have friends dialogues just to get know the teammebers.
