I was reading a renegade playthrough, wich is in fact an slaughter and vicious game by someone here on the forum. :D
Everyone but Morinth and Thane dies, including the Normandy crew.

I understand why do this, since you have some differents games to import to ME3, but one phrase on the text sticked in my mind:

I'm hoping that some of these choices have a drastic effect on ME3, instead of just cameo appearances and extra 1 minute side quests (or lack thereof if you're Renegade).

He's right, you know?
I really wish to see the decisions you made really impact the game.

So, Wrex dies. What's the difference that this make in Grunts quest?
None.
Conrad Verner treatment?
None (don't give me the "it's a bug", Bioware don't want to fix this, so it's the way the game works).
Death of the Rachni Queen?
None.
Death of Alenko?
None.
Choice between Anderson or Udina?
None.

And so on.

I really hope this choices and the ones you make in ME2 have an impact in the third installment of the series.
Killed the Rachni Queen?
No Rachni to help you against the Reapers.
Choose Udina?
The military response will be slow and hesitating.
Killed Grunt?
Urdnot clan will not help you.
Choose a renegade path and have Samara?
She will hunt you down, since you are a criminal in her eyes.

As I said, I really hope that my choices count this time.

[ ]'s

This shouldn't happen again that's all I ask...

I also hope all the choices made won't have their predicted outcomes or through choices in the 3rd, could somehow get randomized again.

Hope there'll be some random generated areas, easing the boredom of replaying.

Personally, I liked all the changes that were made for the second installment of Mass Effect. It really felt as if it is my story because all the choices I made in the first game became visible (no matter they were just additional dialogue options, or familiar faces like Conrad (will we see him again?)) or Helena Blake (my sister hadn't seen them for she killed them and was very disappointed with her actions). But I hope that choices of 2 games will have a huge impact on Mass Effect 3 (you know, united army of krogans and rachni, quarians and the geth against the Reapers). That's just epic.

Still. there some things I'd like to mention. Why there are no kids, on the Citadel at least? Everybody's talking about them, but we don't see any. Will we be able to take a walk in the Presidium (Wards in Mass Effect 2 were okay, but I wanted to explore Presidium)? And finally, I hope I'll be able to visit futuristic Earth, not just like a battlefield, but like Citadel or Omega. And one more thing. If there's Earth, there has to be a spaceport (why not you make it somewhere unexpected, Kiev (Kyiv) maybe?... Okay, just joking!)

Keep up to good work, Bioware! I trust you, guys!

ME 2's theme was your assembling your team for a suicidal mission, so ME's theme should be you trying to rally the galaxy for the final showdown since you already have your team.

Ok, for Mass Effect 3, there will be two types of players: Those that import, and those who start up a brand new Shepard for perhaps the extra challenge or trying out a new class. The problem is that unless Bioware lets us play a 25+ level Shapard right off the bat, new gamers will be riled that they will have to start out with a level 1 Shepard, so there will no doubt be another depower.  So, how can this be eased in without subjecting Shepard to reentry once again? Arrest and jailtime.
Not long after ME2, the Normandy gets stormed by Alliance troops who start arresting everyone for working with a known terrorist organisation and/or known criminals (Jack,Thane,Miranda,Jacob). Samara gets a get out of jail free card due to being a Justicar, but everyone else is in trouble. Shepard gets his/her cybernetics disabled and thrown into jail.
Not long after, Reapers destroy several colonies, whoopsie!
So, Shepard gets hauled out and there is much apologising and chances to insult air-quote taurian, Shepard is given all new cybernetics and training(Chance to choose new class,) along with the Normandy 2 fully staffed and carte-blanche to do whatever is needed to kill the Reapers dead.

One thing - RACHNI. :P

After what seems like hours of fighting, the citadel forces are on the verge of collapse when out the voids of space come the Rachni to kick some reaper arse.

That woud be pretty cool. While your getting ready for the reapers, the Alliance/ Spectres are on your trail. So you have to trick them with false IDs, fake messages, etc would give the game some fell danger other then everytime you land on a planet.

does anybody want to add a mor customizable system? like what about usig some of the dlc armore pieces to make more new aromor i dont much like how its all one suit and a larger weapon range like using diferent parts to make your own guns barrels handles and scopes as well as ammo power. and i also think its unfair that some dlc content is only for computer if its for the same game i think everybody has a right to use it no matter the platform.and i would also like to see more then just two pistols thats sad we need better handguns with more kick. anybody else think thats a sound argument?

so you mean like a revolver or desert eagle!Posted Image (future version of course)  that would be cool

it would be awesome to feel like it is your own kind of gun and wepon armor... especially if some were only availible to certain classes.  it would only work if there are a lot of parts to customize (and have some that are cosmetic to other ones so you dont have to look a certain way).  this would also be nice with armor... hint hintPosted Image

I wonder what new stuff I can say that wasn't said in 100+ pages...but I'll try.

-New NON-HUMANOID species: the only one I know of so far is the Rachni. All the others have pretty much basic human anatomy (head, torso, two arms, two legs) with minor variance in things like waist to hip ratio. Sure their heads are very distinct..but they all have two eyes (batarians being the exception), a mouth and a nose (or something that indicates that they breathe, look at Mordin).

-Grenades...all kinds of em. Incendiary, Cryo, Disruptor, High Explosive, Acid, Toxic Gas, Flashbang, Antimatter...you name it. And a grenade launcher to fire them (M-100 could do the trick)..that is if you prefer to use a grenade launcher instead of lobbing them manually (standard arc...or rolling them over the floor).

-New explosives: Proximity mines, some equivalent of C4 (remote detonation) and "sticky" mines (Resident Evil 4 anyone?).

That's it....for now.

I really wouldn't mind a 180 degree turn button, also would be nice if the toggle helmet option is brought back. Feel kinda dumb being the only one running around indoor areas with a helmet.

The posibility of having 5+ different endings. The "truly evil" one could be Shephard transforming to a Reaper and leading their kind to destroy the galaxy or something like that ;P

how about taking it one step further and being able to create a armour individual to each player then trade them on cerebrus?

with regards to the plannet scanning how about keeping it in but changing it, make fewer plannets in me3 have minerals (after all the mining i have done it would be correct.) shepard has to survey the plannets and when he does can bring in a team of miners to min the plannet may take a week or so in game time so would make the upgrades you choose more stategic

The Return of Sovereign, or at the very least a Reaper that was "his master" and is way more intense and dooming than Harbinger, who should be killed about 1/3 of the way through the game in an epic fight.

My only wish:

Bring back CHRIS L'ETOILE!

That's the guy who wrote practically all of Noveria and Ashley Williams amongst other things in ME1, and all of Thane and most of Legion and EDI in ME2 (before he left BioWare). Here's his ME Wiki user page, which contains a list of his work:

http://masseffect.wi...User:Stormwaltz

Noveria is always one of ME's high points for me, so I'd really love to see L'Etoile return as a writer for ME3. One of the awesome minor things he wrote is the ME1 assignment "Citadel: I Remember Me", which is just heart-breaking. Too bad Earthborn is the only backround I consider suitable for my main Shepards, since you only get that one if you're a Colonist.

Of course, I'm not trying to say that the current writers aren't good enough, but the stuff L'Etoile wrote was seriously epic.

"I can bludgeon pretty hard", "I just saved you from a nasty prison shower scene" or "I'm packing fire and steel. If they wanna fight with claws and teeth it's their funeral!"

Or how about this one:

Anoleis: "Companies come here to avoid the second-guessing of galactic law."
Shepard: "And I represent the second-guessing of galactic law."

Man, I could go on all day...

Edit: typos

...Shepard gets his/her cybernetics disabled and thrown into jail.

I think that's a problem here, if the commander got the cybernetics removed, he/she will die.
That's the logical conclusion, the modifications in her/his body is way too extensive, I think.

What about like they did in "Minority Report", Shepard gain a brain colar that shutdown onsciousness, so he/she will sleep forever. ;)

I don't know what to think, ME2 appears a reboot in the series, IMHO of course.
The dinamics and way the game progress changed a lot from the first one.

One thing I'd like to see is been able to return to previous places, like Noveria or Feros.
And let's not forget Shiala, Bioware.

Excuse any errors, english it's not my primary language.

For Citadel Station, go back to the more open-seeming level design from ME1. In ME2, Ilium felt considerably more open, more like the way Citadel was in ME1 and generally more enjoyable than the ME2 Citadel. In ME1, I liked the idea of being able to walk around and see the station landscape curving up and away--in ME2 you can only see that from Anderson/Udina's office. In ME2, the Citadel feels and looks more like a big shopping mall or department store complex. Not necessarily a bad thing, but at odds with the ME1 presentation. (Granted, Citadel is still rebuilding from the geth/Sovereign attack, but still . . .)

As per someone else's suggestion(s): make sure the decisions from saved games have a significant impact on the story of ME3. If Urdnot Wrex died in ME1, you can't get the Krogan to help against the Reapers. If you didn't deal with Legion and the "Heretics" the right way in ME2, the surviving geth won't help against the Reapers. Depending on how ME2 ended, you may wind up at fighting against Cerberus in ME3--or working with Cerberus and fighting the Alliance and/or Council. Depending on your decisions in ME1 and ME2, Corporal (?) Toombs may come gunning for you. The factional ideas from Deus Ex 2: Invisible War come to mind.

Maybe work in a return to Ilos, with new revelations about the Protheans and the Reapers?

Hey, I'm not asking for much. . . . ;-)

YES, a larger Citadel please! I thought the version from ME2 was just odd..actually..a lot of the game felt linear..you could explore but there wasn't anything to find (unlike ME1).

Also, how about craft-your-own-armor? Like in KOTOR with lightsabers.

some of your team should be able to die throughout the game to create weakness for people (makes more banter too!)

there should also be missions that you do solo, or at least something that you can do solo by yourslf because thats how i roll... or at least how i want to roll. it could work well with the whole "team mates dying on regular mission" thing i said

more armor and maybe weapon customization would be nice

have co-op that are "N7" or "Spectre" missions/campaign where it is you and your partner (co-op dude) doing missions that is you against "impossible" odds. that would be fun. your partner and you would do a lot of missions with just the two of you, and you could know each other from your backgrounds and whatever (like your old friend from Mindoir if from colonies or your brother/sister if earthborn or spacer). the partner could be their character and you guys could own armies and gangs and whatever. there could also be that you both have your own squad and you need to rely on each other to do you "suicide" missions.

no mmo or matchmaking, just my awesome multiplayer idea (anybody else think it would work?)

sniping positions please. i loved going on mountains and have a sniping team (infiltrator me+ashley+garrus in ME1) owning the geth basses

super long missions are really fun in ME1

make classes really different from each other, or at least different play styles
