Okay, my personal list:
-Bring back the blue color scheme.
-Shepard has 3 thermal clips that he/she will rotate between. Each has their own cool down timer, so that there is no more scrounging for ammo, and those of us who preferred the over-heating system in ME1 can have that back, but in a way that works with ME2.
-Have automated planet scans, then use the Firewalker hover tank to go retrieve the minerals. Scanning = No fun, and on my secondary play-throughs, where I just made a scratch player, I didn't even care; I let the Normandy take all the damage that it did. I HATE scanning planets.
+Alternative: Have a system similar to the anomaly system that points you towards large deposits.
-Thane can't die, or if so, Kolyat should take his place.
-Maps need to come back.
-Weapons need to be customizable again, and include more. Get back to the RPG roots. I'm not saying tons and tons of things to go through, but just give us a little more.
-Bring Shepard back into the Alliance.
-More hub-worlds. Illium, Omega and the Citadel gets a little boring after a while.
-Repair Legion.
-More animations for melee.
-The old armor system's stats based style, with ME2's armor customization.
-Armor options for team members.
-Landing on Earth.
-Bring back some more RPG elements; experience for actions, not just the possibility of leveling up at the end of a mission.
-The hacking and bypass minigames are okay, but more variation would be nice.
-Random drops/pick ups. I don't like having the weaponry be exactly the same every time I play through the game. Maybe when I kill an enemy, I can find a blue print or diagram of a weapon and build that with resources. I'm not sure how you could do this without bringing back the original weapon system (which I loved), but i think it's an important part of adding replay value to a game.
-Friend chat options, not just romance.
-Make the info tags in the Galaxy Map transparent so that I can see systems that are behind them.
-Make all the resources into 1 resource, like omnigel. Trying to find platinum specifically, or element zero is difficult.
I'll add more if I think of any, but those are the ones that make me the most aggravated.
