I'd like:
1. Bigger inventory.
2. I'd like the option to have the romance option you chose in two to end up in your party from the beginning in three.
3. Tali's face revealed if she is a romance option again. Maybe have the romance option from the first one come back too. It would be nice to see Liara or Ashely as a party member again.
4. More habitated areas. It seemed like every colony you went to, it was abandoned, or everyone was husks, or whatever. It would be nice if the Citadel wasn't the only place you could go to just talk to people and pick up sidequests. I like the character interaction just as much as the combat.
5. More intelligent sidequests. The sidequests about combat are fun, but I liked the sidequests that involved diplomacy, or crime solving, or whatever too. I'd like more situations that test reasoning, rather than just combat. Maybe have a lengthy sidequest involving solving a murder or something.

What Bioware needs to do in Mass Effect 3 is bring together all of Shepard's decisions in Mass Effect 1 and 2. That is, the universe in Mass Effect 3 needs to be entirely composed of the consequences of Shepard's actions in the previous games. The side-quests and such are fairly pointless in Mass Effect 1, simply because they do not further the story or plot, nor to they work to better develop Shepard as a character. The only consequences that we say for our actions in ME1 was a reunion in ME2 with a few people we let live in the first game. The decisions we make need to be more than that. There needs to be game-altering consequences for doing what we do on side-quests and in conversation. Here are some examples: 1) letting rachni survive, 2) leaving/staying apart of Cerberus, and 3) Rana (the scientist), 4) romances. There needs to be major consequences in ME3 for releasing the rachni, such as making it much more difficult to defeat the Reaper fleet with the absence of the rachni fleet assisting all other organic life. As for leaving or staying with Cerberus, the story should obviously be different depending on which action you take, as life without Cerberus should be very very different from a life with Cerberus. As for Rana, she is just one of many many characters who you meet and may help. There needs to be a dire consequence, for example, for letting her live. Perhaps she becomes a villain in ME3. The romances are self-explanatory: they need to be given room to develop or fall apart in ME3.
The Mass Effect series has an amazing story, and I suspect that it will be just as epic as in ME3. But, maybe ME3 is Bioware's opportunity to adjust their RPG. I must admit that Mass Effect's RPG is dumbed-down significantly because many of the choices you make have no impact on the galaxy and your gameplay, other than by awarding "Renegade" and "Paragon" points. It needs to be more than that BioWare. The best thing you could do is make it so that Shepard CAN'T defeat the Reapers if he made certain choices in ME1 and ME2. This seems harsh, but at this time there are no real consequences for your decisions in ME1 and ME2, other than minor ones that do not alter the story. ME3 is the perfect opportunity to create a galaxy made by the player's past decisions. This way, Shepard's success, or organic life's success, against the Reapers is nearly entirely based off of the player's actions and decisions. The decisions you made in ME1 could potentially determine whether or not Shepard defeats the Reapers in this manner.
I have the utmost respect for Mass Effect, the entire series. I love the story and like the gameplay. Obviously, certain aspects such as combat, "party" combat, customization, and the RPG I mentioned above can be adjusted to be made much better. I've said it before and I'll say it again: take your time with this one BioWare. Don't rush Mass Effect 3. I, along with millions of other gamers, love this series for its sheer epicness. Mass Effect 3 truly needs to be something new, something even more epic and compelling than the first two, because that is the only good way to progress a series. Mass Effect 3 needs time and effort. You guys are brilliant at BioWare and I, along with everyone else, trust that you guys are the only one who can do ME3 right. My strongest suggestion that I have for you Bioware is what I said above. I could talk about it and elaborate upon it for pages but I'll spare everyone that. Hopefully you'll see our advice here and take much of it into consideration. Afterall, how else will you know what gamers would like to see in Mass Effect 3. Keep up the good work, BioWare. Just please do your absolute best with ME3, even if it takes a little longer to make the appropriate adjustments and changes. Whatever it takes to make it an incredible end to such an epic series (though I certainly would like to see, and would pay for, any further expansion to the Mass Effect series after ME3).

Concerning the combat: Maybe consider lowering the amount of shots it takes to kill someone, especially if we have to worry about ammo. Possibly bring the weapons stats back, giving some weapons more or less recoil, damage etc.

Biotic powers: If you are going to have the power to life things in the air with your mind then maybe have a more destructable enviorment.

Squad: Smarter, more aggressive. Maybe some tactical maneuvers, Also a would like them to put their talents to use. For example, when I got thane on my team I wanted him to quietly assasinate people for me, but instead he just followed me around like a puppy...who shoots people.

Mechs: Wouldnt it be cool to have some of your own?

Guns: Moar!

Exploration: Vehicle please! Also, in mass effect 1 I saw these huge empty spaces I explored. Maybe add a tree or two, some animals, a town or something, some space pirates here and there. Hell, why not stage a huge battle there?

I REALLY enjoyed the combat in ME2. The pacing of it is amazing. Although on Insanity, you can go too long before you're allowed to save, some times.

One thing I thought there could be more of, though, is interaction between the different party members. The Normandy's crew felt very alive, because they talked to one another. It'd be nice if the party members did that on the Normandy and maybe more often on missions, too.

Okay, my personal list:
-Bring back the blue color scheme.

-Shepard has 3 thermal clips that he/she will rotate between. Each has their own cool down timer, so that there is no more scrounging for ammo, and those of us who preferred the over-heating system in ME1 can have that back, but in a way that works with ME2.

-Have automated planet scans, then use the Firewalker hover tank to go retrieve the minerals. Scanning = No fun, and on my secondary play-throughs, where I just made a scratch player, I didn't even care; I let the Normandy take all the damage that it did. I HATE scanning planets.
+Alternative: Have a system similar to the anomaly system that points you towards large deposits.

-Thane can't die, or if so, Kolyat should take his place.

-Maps need to come back.

-Weapons need to be customizable again, and include more. Get back to the RPG roots. I'm not saying tons and tons of things to go through, but just give us a little more.

-Bring Shepard back into the Alliance.

-More hub-worlds. Illium, Omega and the Citadel gets a little boring after a while.

-Repair Legion.

-More animations for melee.

-The old armor system's stats based style, with ME2's armor customization.

-Armor options for team members.

-Landing on Earth.

-Bring back some more RPG elements; experience for actions, not just the possibility of leveling up at the end of a mission.

-The hacking and bypass minigames are okay, but more variation would be nice.

-Random drops/pick ups. I don't like having the weaponry be exactly the same every time I play through the game. Maybe when I kill an enemy, I can find a blue print or diagram of a weapon and build that with resources. I'm not sure how you could do this without bringing back the original weapon system (which I loved), but i think it's an important part of adding replay value to a game.

-Friend chat options, not just romance.

-Make the info tags in the Galaxy Map transparent so that I can see systems that are behind them.

-Make all the resources into 1 resource, like omnigel. Trying to find platinum specifically, or element zero is difficult.

I'll add more if I think of any, but those are the ones that make me the most aggravated.

I'd like more abilities, more exploration, more sidequests, and more weapons. I feel like the amount of weapons was very disappointing. I pretty much used the same 3 weapons for over half the game with sheppard and that was very disappointing as I already stated. I think it limited the feeling of progression when I got my best weapons halfway through the game.

More than anything I just want the ability to un-equip weapons I don't want to use. It was a great improvement not having untrained weapons on my Shep but the forced carrying of a heavy weapon totally set this back. Just let me take it off when I don't want it.

That's probably the plan. Too bad tho, i like thane's scarred persona and experienced character. If Kolyat enters the action it'll be like adopting a teenager. (wow, just rambling. Shutting off myself now)

Fix the created Shepard faces. They look like plastic and fail in comparison to the default Shepard.

Make resource collecting a process that doesn't involve watching movies at the same time because it's so boring.

Honestly, I only agreed with your first point. The thing that tops my lit for ME3 is hair. The only thing that sucked about ME2 was the god-awful hair. It's retarded

I would like to see the game last much longer. It ended too quickly for me and now I'm just sitting around waiting for DLC.

It feels longer if you play over the course of a couple of days.  Being in college, I don't have that much time anyways, so the 30 hours took 3 weeks.  Pretty satisfying that way.

I for one was VERY happy about the removal of the vehicle missions; thank you very much for that.

All I can really ask for in Mass Effect 3 is for all of the characters to come back, a great story conclusion, more great music/graphics, an improved scanning system, and a 300 hour game.

Have a question, did any one else feel that a great part of Mass effect 2 was to get ready for Mass Effect 3?

I cannot say there was anything about the gameplay in either game that I absolutely despised. I am easy to please that way, I suppose. What I would like to see in the third game are challenging, engaging, frustrating choices that come about regardless of how thoroughly characters, weapons, vehicles, are upgraded; situations that have no-win scenarios where something is actually at stake! Situations where characters die regardless of how well you have prepared. That is the nature of battle; sometimes people die and there is NOTHING you can do. I found the second installment to be rather weak in this respect; i.e., if the player prepared thoroughly for the Suicide mission it really wasn't. A suicide mission, that is. Just saying.

1) EVERYONE has the same BODY TYPE?!?!?!?!?!!!!???

Even JOKER, with his "brittle bone crumbling extravaganza" looks like he pumps iron 9 times a day. I've seen games from 8 yrs ago that accomodated different body types making it look more realistic.

2) Get the composer Jesper Kyd from MDK2 ( which has the most amazing music of any bioware game EVER), to do the soundtracks for ME3. Some of the tracks on ME 2 were disappointing and did not fit a scifi game like this.

3) I NEED A customizable MALE SHEP, WITH LONG HAIR. I wear my hair long and i hate having to look like a skinhead or a jock if i wanted to play with a male character.

1.) Better balance
2.) More missions that utilize your whole squad, like the Suicide Mission in ME2
3.) Epic ending

I think it would be nice to change the colour of your guns. I hate having different colour weapons haha. it just bothers me. And i miss being able to actually upgrade my armor and weapons to make them better. And being able to change your armor and weapons whenever you want in the middle of the game, I change my mind alot and like to switch things up and change armor colours and what not in the middle of a mission.

I agree with this. I always use the default shep becuase I can't get him to look like me cause there is no long hair.

Oh, and more Citadel! I was Dissapointed that the only part of the presidium you could go to was the embessey, and that the wards felt even smaller some how.

Something awesome but probably impossible... putting your face in the game for your character...

Almost wanna see maybe expanded melee. Vanguard charge followed up by a beam saber to the face anyone? I dunno, I had good ideas but then i clicked and they went poof...

Just to add up to 100.

82. See all other Spectres
83. Fight up to 50 enemies at once
84. Use biotics to lift objects and throw them at enemies
85. One very hard boss fight like the archdemon in DAO
86. Fight hostile creatures other than the varren, thresher maw and the bug ones. And see for example how a thresher maw attacks your enemy while you hide and watch.
87. Cut that sound that comes up when you press a paragon or renegade interrupt
88. Some elevator rides
89. Wear clothes more often. I would like to wear a hooded coat like Feron did in redemption
90. Meet some characters from the books and comics
91. Talk to the turian who says “you humans are all racist”
92. NO MORE PLOT HOLES
93. Mexican standoff
94. Ending where Shepard can have about 20 children with his/her LI
95. Harder decisions, there were almost none for me in ME2. And also bigger consequences.
96. More than one love scene with your LI
97. ME1 and ME2 ammo hybrid
98. Visit the apartment from the PS DLC
99. Thane: “Why is there a fly in my soup”
100. Make a competition like the Dead Space developers had with their fans where the winner gets his own face in the game.
