I think I posted this already but I'll post it again.

1. Make unique weapons and armor drop from unique bosses.

This is my favourite part of any RPG, after a long tough battle and many reloads it feels great to get a shiny new piece of equipment as a reward and getting that feeling of HOLY **** IM GOING TO KICK SOME ASSES WITH THIS!

ex. You kill merc boss you then loot his M-879 hellfire assault rifle. This weapon would be unique in it's model, name, power, and perhaps how it fires. This also goes for armor pieces(also don't make every boss drop just armor sets, only a few should).

2. Make more unique bosses at the end of side missions, and main missions too!

It'd be great to investigate a research facility that found a mysterious artifact and suddenly ended all communications. Then as you investigate you find no bodies, you go in a bit further and you find out where all the bodies went. They were made into a husk prototype that's over 100 husks put toghether to make an abomanation!

3. Craftable items

This is pretty simple, you kill thresher maw take scales and give it to normandy scientists. They take these scales and make armor that combines the scales and strong metal to make awesome armor. Same applies to weapons except scales won't be used.

Oh i forgot this bit too

4. The Asari matriarch bartender!

Now that we know the Normandy has a lounge area we can finally have a use for her! Although it would have to renovated to a larger size. It'd be great to have an asari matriarch as my advisor, and my bartender! Make it happen Bioware, make it happen!

I agree with Highdragonslayer, unique items from bosses or from completing quests and adding customisable weapons is a must.

I would also like to see:

1. Bigger hammerhead missions, there were some good ideas in the DLC but they just weren't big enough.

2. I loved being able to customise armor, but would have been great if could customise your whole teams armor.

3. Biotic powers need to be improved, Jack for example, when you go to recruit her she is unstopable! however when you have her in your squad she is no where near as powerful. Same goes for Samara.

4. More of the Normandy action. when the reapers attack I wanna see them get their ass handed back to them.

5. More interaction between your squad mates, Miranda & Jack, Tali and Legion etc.

I think Bioware might have to jump to 3 discs for the next installment, its the only way they will be able to get all of this stuff in lol.

All i really care about is making the evil and good sides adding a little more dark and light feeling to the game as you advance through the game. also, i would really like to see jack and zaeed return as a possible crew members.

oh and what would be really good for the game would be the choice to add whomever you want as your second in command and your choice would actually matter with the plot.

Please, the most important thing I can possibly think of is leaving Tali as a squad mate with a romantic option. The game would just not be the same without her, please. Along with this, Can we please see her face in ME3? that would be awesome. And seeing her without the suit on at all would just be incredible:D.

We can travel to the Krogan homeworld now, can we go to the Turian homeworld in ME3 along with other species? Along with that, we were able to visit the Flotilla for a short amount of time, can we make that a place we can go whenever we wan't? with Side quests along with it adn everything.

Bring back the inventory from ME1, but updated. The customization was awesome in #1, but it all went away in #2. Along with the huge variety of weapons and armor. However, keep the custamizable armor, where you can mix and match pieces, but let us also get complete suits of armor.

The Citidel needs to be much bigger with way more side quests and shops, and just general variety.

Increase the length of all the romance scenes, Insted of just giving your pet fub (Miranda) the longest one. Give everyone some of what we want - no more retarded 10 sec cutscenes when Miranda gets like 3 mins. Also with this, after you finish the campain you should be able to continue your romance with them, you should be able to get in bed with them whenever you feel like it - and I mean with a cutscene, not just laying there with nothing happening. Along with continued varied romantic conversation, right now (idk how it is for characters besides Tali) Tali just says the same thing evertime that she said before you got in bed with her.

Romance outside of the Normandy would be awesome too. Like in some random convo. in the Citidel or something there would be romantic dialoge, not just everything happening in the Normandy.

Make the drinking better... Choice of drinks, sit at table with romantic squad mate and drink with each other, etc.

Please make the level system better too... only 30 lvls? kinda sucks. Also bring back the Tali that raped in combat... She was amaing in #1 but sux now in #2... Going along with this, make Tech attacks better - let them affect weapons, armor, along with robots, like in ME1.

Thats all I can think off the top of my head... I'll edit if I think of more.

Keelah Se'lai.

i agree with xWolfxOishiiSan tali MUST be in the next game as a romantic option. they need to keep my other favourite pals like Garrus, Jacob and Kasumi

1.More detailed exploration and open world game play

mass effect is set in an amazing universe that we should See more of. the ability to land on planets and just be able to explore on foot or vehicles. there also needs to be larger hubs. there was like 3 in ME2 and took u 5mins get around them. i want to visit cities where i can walk around for hours.

2. Additional combat situations.

you should be able to board ships, engage in space combat or arrive at battlefields to bring support to the alliance. i want to see human military in action, epic battles with dozens of troops and vehicles. this also gives the player a chance to develop combat skills and tactics.

3.More customization

customise your armour and that of your squad mates in more detail than ME2. more upgrades to the Normandy

4. Character development.

the amount of dialogue options seen in Dragon Age was amazing. give us a chance to talk with squad and crew members on a higher level that was experienced in ME2. party banter like in dragon age would also be cool.

5. Better side mission.

side missions in me2 were very short and easy to acquire and complete. side missions that are like sub-stories branching of from the main story arc and that are done in the same immense detail as the main story line. Like help Quarians reclaim a planet or cure the Krogan genophage.

I also want to see a Volus's skin burst open and watch him EXPLODE like explained in the codex. i wanna see a quarian without the exosuit on, any quarian even if it isn't Tali.

Simple 'Switch Career' save game interface adjustments.

Bioware should be pleased that I have played this game through 5 times already, and onto 6 and 7 simultaneously!

As a result, my characters are starting to blur.   Can I suggest some simple icons and stats, represented beside each save game file, depicting character leaning ( paragon / renegade ), class, gender and 'current' love interest and a depiction of the face of the character.

I have gone into the game trying several angles of RP.   Alien/Humanitarian, Bigot, Badass, Pro Cerberus, Pro Aliance, and no aliance.

Save game names don't evoke these emotions and decisions, but a simple picture..... tells a thousand words.

Cheers!

Mass Effect 3 Ending - Final Scenes....

I don't pretend to know how Bioware will finish up this series.  But there is one theme which is mentioned with most species ( only laboured on with the Krogan ), but never really addressed..... the base need of most species to have progeny.

O'Keer mentions his 'legacy'.

On Illium, the love sick Krogans' love for the Asari 'blue rose of Illium' centres around the suggestion that he is, deep down, just after offspring.

Samara shares her parenting demons with Shepherd.

..... But what of Shepherd?  What of the character we play?

The entire epic of 3 games, defending he galaxy.... but what of Shepherds offspring?

The shear number of romance options in the game begs the question... when all is said and done, what legacy will Shepherd leave behind, other than his/her past deeds and legend?

I would like to see, at the very very end, at a ceremony, or a victory parade, or an annual memorial Shepherds last love interest... perhaps a little older and wiser, and as the camera pans down, and youngling clutching the hand of the love interest... clearly Shepherds offspring.

I think this would explore the consequences of same vs differnt species and same sex vs opposite sex relationships.  It would be a nice touch.

Just a thought.

UNREAL Engine.... does it cut it?  Is it cutting it?

Now I'm no computer technician, but having played PC games since long before the Commodore 64 and Microsoft Microbee, I tend to have an eye that can 'see through' the underlying engine and its visual 'tricks'.

Full credit to Bioware for window dressing a relatively basic first person shooter engine.  But I think ( and would hope ) that the sheer number of poor clipping problems in the game, the clunky 'boxy object in my way' feel this causes really takes the lustre off a game which would for all intents and purposes be the pinnacle game of its time.

How many people have been left suspended up in the air, in the middle of a fight, and unable to move because or poor object clipping?

How many people have been killed running behind cover, completely out of sight and in cover from fire, but not deemed 'in cover' because they haven't pressed their body against the 'paint' as it were?

I would love to see a more free flowing character.  I like that the character, when they move, seems to have 'weight' ( important given the whole space / gravity / eezo / biotic setting ).   However, often I feel that my character is animated in a box, and approaching ( or not approaching as the case may be ) another box, with textures on it.  It is clearly visible in cut scenes, love scenes, etc and is my only major cristicism for the game.  It is chiefly responsible for me loosing my immersion in a scene.

I would love to see further development that bridges this gap.  I would also like to see characters move around objects more fluidly, much like Altair in Assassins creed moves through a crowd ( which ironically is almost imitated in the very first scenes of ME1 as our 'new hero', back to camera, walks around a crew member on the way to the Bridge).   Again, this is scripted, but I would like to see that 'collision' info programmed into the animation of the character, under player control.

Each game Bioware hass stepped this up, but I would like to see it further enhanced beyond simple up and down vaulting over a flat object.  Skimming over the edge of a surface ( like sliding over the corner or hood of a car ), perhaps even sliding into cover more, or even being able 'glide and float' over gaps using biotics.  If this can be achieved, then the fire fights will be more visceral, taking ME3 to the next level everyone is expecting.

Cheers!

DLC Armours:   Removable Helmet.

Great idea, but the option to 'remove' the helmet would be good.  Even better....going into 'public' automatically without the helmet would alleviate the embarrassment of scoffing a drink through the helmet visor.

That was a little sad, and actually a little annoying.  How did QA not pick that up?

More emotion in the re-unions, and I don't mean namby pamby coddling and tears emotion.

When Shepherd met Garrus it was 'Garrus!!!!' then down to business... admittefly Garrus was tired, so I forgave that.

The meeting with the LI on Freedoms Progress was completely underwhelming. I understand there was conflict there (alliance vs cerberus prejudices), but come on.... if you or I saw an old friend we had assumed dead, we would be doing backflips, back slaps, questions gallore!

Try not to underplay key relations in ME3

Conversation Tree:  More lying!
Sub Options of:
Genuine or Deceitful
I know the conversation arcs go on forever and there is already a lot of choice.  I thought it would not be too difficult to factor in the following:
Often there were Paragon lines I wanted to say, but as a Renegade, I wanted to say them to deceive the person.   Perhaps a second little icon or bubble at the end of a response could be added which allows you to choose whether you are being genuine, or deceitful?
Eg:  'I think I trust you' ( to the Illusive Man ), but click the Deceit option meaning that you want him to have the impression you are on his side, when the opposite is the actual fact.
Cheers.

LAST Contribution.... I promise!  ( being Deceitful, but you couldn't tell cause the conversation option wasn't there! ) Posted Image

ME3 Needs to have a defining moment.... which side is Shepherd on?  Alliance, Council, Cerberus, or Freelancer?

We have made many choices, and played characters along multiple lines.   I have tried to play the following characters....

1 x Paragon is purely loyal to the Council still, even above the Alliance.
1 x Paragon is purely loyal to the Alliance.
1 x Paragon is purely loyal to his own mission and his team / crew.
1 x Renegade is purely loyal to whoever offers him the most ( which usually means Cerberus )
1 x Renegade is purely anti authority, so leans towards a total Freelancer.
1 x Renegade is purely loyal to Alliance and is anti alien (even letting them die off in the suicide mission!!!)
1 x Mixed:  The quintissential fence sitter that won't commit to a faction.

I'm currently playing the mixed character now.  There doesn't appear to be any real consequence or payoff in any of these choices, other than a red or blue line.    I do this in the hope that ME3 will address these preferences with a unique storyline and ending.

Cheers,

Fleet battles:

A lot of people are writing various points on fleet battles / spaceship warfare.

I think the Codex entries from the original game really made the 'practicalities' of space warfare apparent and certainly worth thinking about.  The science of space warfare, and the sheer distances involved make it interesting, and I am not sure whether it can be done justice.  The fact that the player had to think about upgrades, just deepened this attachment to the Normandy further.

For all that effort though, and consdering the setting of the game, I think fleet battles NEED to be touched upon somewhere in the game, with the Normandy involved.   While I'm not sure Bioware has the resources to make an interactive player controlled 'space battle', an interactive cutscene is almost a must.

This could be done whereby the player manouvres the ship as Joker - then cutscene as the battle progrsses.  Another crew member ( perhaps as Garrus ) targets the subsystems of other spacecraft in protection of other ships.  The engine room needing to divert power and compensate for gun fire vs sensors vs shields vs life support ( perhaps as Tali or similar crew ).  Even zooming to the Council Battle Room or Command Centre and see Anderson wheeling and dealing the galaxies forces as the seasoned veteran he is.   All these elements could go to re introducing the player to their ME3 characters, familiarise them with the ship and make them feel part of a galaxy in conflict.  Ticks all the boxes really.

This time, really is my last suggestion ( ticks the 'Genuine' conversation box ).

Cheers and thanks for a great game!!

I just found myself missing a peculiar little thing from ME 1 - the fact that, when docked at the Citadel, you could actually walk off your ship and then walk back on, seamlessly.

As in, opposed to clicking the "dock" button and being transported to the entrance of the new location automatically, and being teleported right back to the bridge when leaving the place.

I don't know, it might have been annoying to others, but to me it seemed liked such a nice bit of seamless space-captain realism - that you would actually leave and enter your ship through the docking bay, experiencing the decontamination chamber and chain of command and everything ("Commanding Officer is ashore, XO Pressly has the deck." "Commanding Officer on board, XO Pressly stands relieved.").

I just liked hearing that, it somehow added to the atmosphere, the feeling of "being" a commanding officer in space.

Also, when playing ME 2 for the fist time I thought "Thank the Lord, they've gotten rid of that half-assed item system, it was so annoying!", but when actually replaying ME 1 for a while and then switching back to 2, I found myself missing it a lot.

Same goes for the general colour palette of ME 1, that seemed to have a little more variety with heavy use of blues and greens and greys, whereas ME 2 was all red and grimdark for the most parts (I know I know, it was a meant to be a "darker sequel", literally...).

So in short, I guess what I'd like to see in ME 3 is a little bit of ME 1 returning (including things like an epic battle at endgame, and an engaging, seat-grippingly exiting main storyline.)

Mass effect 2 was the best game i have ever played in my opinion here are a few things i really want in Mass effect 3
1.DO NOT CHANGE THE CUSTOMIZATION OR INVENTORY!!!keeping track of a lot of weapons and armor was really annoying the first one proved it if anything add a few more custom armor commponents and a few more weapons thats it, i loved the customization in me2 AND I DONT WANT IT TO CHANGE.

2.Do not change the music either the music was amazing in mass effect 2 much better than the electro music in the first one which was annoying and sometimes creepy.the dramatic, heart pounding, and overall amazing music in mass effect 2 really cuaght my eye and impressed me.

3.I would like to have the love intrest from me1 or me2 in your squad and continue relationship.

4. The mining was not that bad but i would like for it to be less time consuming it really got in the way of the story sometimes.

5.If there is gonna be a vehicle in me3 dont put to much missions for it i prefer the on foot combat and gameplay over the vehicle anyday.

6.definetly keep the interupt system that was a neat addition in me2.

7.More interactions and conversation with party characters.

8.Do not change the combat or rpg elements the combat was amazing and i dont understand why some people complain about the rpg elements they fit the game very well.

These are the things i would like to see in Mass effect 3 looking foward to me3 and starwars old republic bioware you rock!!!

Customizable class. Choose a class specific skill such as tech armor and 5 or so other skills from the other classes. To balance it out maybe not allowed to pick any of the unlockable teammate skills.

Also when a character draws their pistol in a cut scene it would be nice if they didn't admire it. It doesn't look badass it just looks silly.

Allow shepard to have two layers of defense just like enemies.

for example, give fortification it's own seperate bar that acts like armor(armor's weapon and power resistances), and do the same with all other defensive powers(unless they are stacking with the same type of defense(geth shield boost with shields)

In cutscenes make characters use weapons that they are actually capable of using. (perhaps make the cutscene recognize the currently equipped weapon, or make it a specific one of their equippable weapons, as long as it is a weapon that they will use in actual combat)

What? Uh, I'm pretty sure you can't. But you can romance Kelly, apparently.

I have slept with her as a femshep.

I am reading all these answers about wepons and i have some idea.
Many of you write about finding things to upgrade you'r wepon. Some of you write about lab upgrades. So I have an idea to combine these two things. You can find a better optics or a combat AI on the missions but also be able to brake into some computers and download the technology. In lab you will study such upgrades as larger ammo clips or better amm damage but in armory you will change your's wepon setings by adding this AI or optics. What do you think about that? I think it will suite all of you.
As for the wepons stats I think that similar wepons should have maybe not tha same but still similar stats. The damage for shields or armor is not a good idea. In ME2 it's already said that fast wepons are grate against armors and shields/bariers and the single wepons are grate in doing health damage. There should be difrences betwean wepons like ammo amount or overall damage like it is now but still an SMG is a close combat wepon and a pistol is better for a biger distance for an adept.

You can please some of the people some of the time but you can please all of the people all of the time.  With that said, I think it's funny how Bioware took out mostly everything people complained about from ME1 and now they want it back in for ME3.    FOOD FOR THOUGHT!

Anyway, my wish list.

A mission with Earth involved.   Especially if this is the last Mass Effect.   The Reaper are attacking earth or the geth on earth.

Second wish list item.   We gotta see what the Quarians look like.   It's killing me.   Yes I know I know...I'm one of those nerds who is in love with Tali....but this is a wish list so ...there it is.

Thirdly, some normandy battles...i agree with what someone said earlier that we've spent upgrades on normandy weapons with no reward for getting them.   yes  yes another nerd who likes star wars and star trek.

more epic geth or collector battles...i want to be surround by geth or collectors...push the odds in their favor and let me fight out triumphantly.

that's all for now

I wish a big battle between our galaxy and Reapers in ME 3, with story about recruiting an ARMY from galaxy like krogan, turians a story similar to Dragon Age's.But Bioware already knows what's with story so I don't expect this...Or maybe I do?
