I wish a big battle between our galaxy and Reapers in ME 3, with story about recruiting an ARMY from galaxy like krogan, turians a story similar to Dragon Age's.But Bioware already knows what's with story so I don't expect this...Or maybe I do?
that's a good idea

I loved finally being able to see the Migrant Fleet and getting involved with the Geth beyond shooting them. I would've liked to do more with the Quarians and the Geth. Which also applies to non combat missions, I loved that idea. It's breathing space and a chance to reflect. This was a major improvement over the first as it wasn't always constant combat.
The updated classes were like a mircale. I don't think I could've handled going through ME 2 as an Adept with just a pistol! But I think some were underpowered. The Engineer for example, its most useful ability is Combat Drone, but why was weapon hacking left out? The temporary weapon freeze, however short forced a change in battle for both sides. Thus tactics change on the move. What about an electro tool for the Engineer instead of overload? Downed mechs rebooted to fight for you or quick jab to boost your own or allies shields?
--------------------------------
(Pet Pains)
I also feel that Global Cooldown shouldn't apply to Unity, especially on Insanity. Medi Gel is rare (heck it was rarer in the first game) but still, I'm getting attacked but I can't heal becuse I'm waiting for a power to cool down.
I don't really like the mission reports, I think that is better suited for your personal terminal (display after mission at your convenience). It interrupted the flow of the the narrative, makes it harder to get involved.
Buying fuel...At least I didn't have billions of credits and nothing to spend it on (like ME) but it was still pretty useless. Logical and interesting but for a video game?...I Don't like. Another minor issue.

- Too few weapons. Can't customize them or armor. Instead, special bullet loadouts are considered powers? To me...that is lame because anyone should be able to use a different type of bullet class. I play a soldier and thought that they should get powers and not bullet options.
- The Mass Effect Universe feels like it shrunk...by a lot. Or at least the sandbox we get to play in. The scale seemed so much larger and imposing in ME 1.

The inventory system isn't flawed, it's perfectly functional. It is however as attempt to reinvent the wheel when all it needed was some grease.
The loading screens aren't flawed. The problem is the elevator scenes weren't flawed either. Loading sucks. Heck I'm playing DA:O right now and I'd sacrifice a gerbil to Bill Gates to get it to load faster. They are both good approaches to solving a problem that isn't going to go away until computers are operating entirely on persistant dynamic memeory systems.
The scanning system isn't flawed. Per se. It is however fairly pointless. It's a timesink in a game that doesn't need time sinks. So why put it in? It sure as heck isn't fun. Nor does it add depth or verisimilitude to the universe. So why? Perhaps it's a flawed approach, rather than a flawed execution.
The upgrade system isn't flawed, but it is shallower, narrower and less visible than the mod system from ME 1. The problems with the ME 1 mod system was never that people were confused or flustered by it's depth or it's rich options, it's just that people got bored with umpteen levels of identical upgrades and having to manage the clunky inventory system. To my mind they fixed the wrong problem.

Actualy I completly fell in love with Mass Effect 2 (even the planet scanning) , so I'll only ask for more of the same, and a bit more consequence and/or story development with who you chose to go "rhaaa lovely" with... oh how I wanted more Thane!

1. More armor types/styles and helmets/headgear, ME2 has a good option for customizing your armor, by keeping that and adding more styles and types it would provide much better and unique experience.
2. I noticed that in ME2 cut-scenes different characters use weapons that they can't even wield (like in acquire reaper IFF mission at the end I had Thane in the team and he used assault rifle to defend and he doesn't even have it in inventory). Make characters use their respective weapon in cut-scenes.
3. Definitely exploration with hammerhead, MAKO is obsolete
4. Different ammo types shouldn't be in the powers section, more like a purchasable add-on to your weapons (like a chip that manages how projectiles are fired from the weapon)
5. When different ammo is selected (it would be good to implement same ammo change animation like in ME2) there should be an indicator on the weapon (like in ME2), but I would prefer less conspicuous, maybe a bar on the weapon itself with appropriate color (blue=cryo etc..). There are already assigned colors for different ammo types, using those wouldn't bring a confusion.
6. Squad menu (or cabinets in their quarters) where you can level up characters individually (maybe even customize their armor color/type), in ME2 could only level up when going on missions with them...
7. Helmet toggle, like in ME1. Adds a dose of realism (bear in mind by toggling helmet off player looses bonuses given by helmet)

2. make sure EDI and joker are back with more arguing
3. keep the game play and upgrading the same as 2 with maybe a few enhancements dont go back to 1's inventory it was so unnecessary.
4. if it comes to it that harbinger is like the "leader" of the reapers make it an epic battle as the boss fight
5. planet scanning brought something new to the table it would be nice to have it back in 3.
6. SHEPERD must not die or sacrifice himself or any silly fantasy bollocks as we had all that dramatic OTT with snake in mgs4 and it fails in nearly every game or film.
7. PC version has AA support for all us pc****s
8. dont blow up the normandy 2 and bring a 3rd along as it would make it repetitive stay with 2
9. Captain anderson joins the team for the final fight along side sheperd, garrus and wrex
10. sheperd has option to punch the turian council member over the reapers

So if I am a soldier, I could take a full load and bring everything with me, or I could bring just a snipe and a hand cannon
Something else I thought of, is a test area, like the holodeck off enterprise. I now they touched on this a little, but a place on the ship you can actually step into and run misc simulations with different weapons to see what they do.

Oh, something else would be cool. Instead of having main crew members in certain locations. Have them walking around talking with other crew members, eating etc. If you need to talk to one of them, then talk to them where they are at.

Only complain is main quest line has to be longer!
X2 the duration of quality main quest and it'll be even more epic!
And more party banter please, small details count as well, like in GTA4

Ok so now it goes. In ME1 we have a vision of syntetics slughtering people. IN ME2 we discover that these peoples were Protheans/Collectors. But who were those syntetics? Husks are like mindless enemies so i doubt that we saw them. Even protheans husks. Geth were desined by quarians so who were those syntetics from the vision? I want to see this.

1. I would really like to explore the cities more. Illium and the Citadel had so much atmosphere and I just think it would be great to explore these great locations more.
2. After played the Garrus, Thane and Kasumi DLC quests I really want to see more of these cop/spy type missions.
3. Add more to the cover system. Looking at games like Splinter Cell conviction where you can easily navigate from cover to cover makes Mass Effect 2's look a little weak. I still think it was a huge step up but adding to it would make it really great.
4. More dialogue with the characters moving around.
5. For the squad in ME3 i would like us just to pick a handful of guys that we could pick from the squadmates who survived from ME2 and the ones not used from ME1.

Squadmates that should definteley be in ME3:
Liara (Bring her back!)
Garrus
Tali
Legion
EDI in some kind of robotic body
Exploration:
Like so many people here I'd like to see bigger places and wide open planet surfaces. The Hammerhead is good maybe add more weapons and make it upgradable. Make the Citadel bigger along with Ilium and Omega.
Interaction:
More options for paragon/renegade action.
Items/inventory:
Bring back the inventory interface, add loot (significantly less than in ME 1 though), unique items and upgrade options.
Remove planet sweeping, or make the mining probes provide mineral constantly in small quantity. The more probes/mining drones are use the faster the mineral come.
So far that's it, I'll be adding a few things once something comes up.

ME3 in turms of game play and inventory weapons ect, should definately be some kind of combination of ME1 and ME2.
Biotics should not be blocked by armor!! Seriously how dose wereing bulletproof abalaitive material protect you when some one basicly creates a frigin black hole in your face?! On the other hand I can definately see how shields could potentialy offer protection from biotics as they are both produced by mass effect fields (something like different magnetic charges counteracting each other or something)
As far as the story goes it would be great If ME3 had two or three endings. Like paragon, renegade, and oh carap I skrewed up and the reapers just anihilated the galaxy :0
Add much much more squad/LI and crew interaction, for me this realy makes the game and there are just so many options for ME3 that there is really no excuse.
I think we all want to see a significant role for the quarians and the geth in the next installment, but lets take it a little further, and have a couple different out comes based on how you run your character. Say paragone you could find some kind of peaceful solution for the geth and quarians and thus ensure you have both factions for the fight against the reapers. Or if your the shoot first ask questions later type you lead the assault to kick the geth off the quarian home world. Lastly if your just a pure evil sob you side with the geth and help them assault the migrant fleet (I think a piece of me just died for even suggesting such a thing)
That was a bit specific but these are the kind of options and moral choice Id like to see in alot of the primary missions in ME3 and maybe to a lesser extent in the sidequests. Over all Bioware should be less conerned about the game play mechanics as those are already pretty solid and fun, and be more focused on plot development/options, charater interaction and just refineing there already epic product.
One more thing I have this wonderful vision of Krogun warships launching bording torpedoes (ala warhammer 40k) at a reaper and haveing dozens of kroguns ripping the @$#t out of it from the inside out, makes me all warm and tingly:)

Jedierick - The squad walking around the Normandy would be great a lot more realistic - Expand on this the squad should interact with other squad/crew members.
Thoma - I like the idea of planting probes who mine over time, providing a constant stream of resources. I think you should be limited to how many different planets you can seed at a time though. This would mean you had to plan your upgrades. The Planet Scanning was too time consuming.
Team members who should be back for ME3:
Tali
Garrus
Legion
Mirranda
Mordin
Maybe there could be side missions where you get a call from a old friend who asks you to help them, and they join you party for that mission. This will allow some new faces to join the fight, but you would also get to work with your old team.
I loved the Quarian & Geth story arc, I think this should definately be expanded on. Renegades could provoke a war resulting in one side being wiped out, Paragons could help unite the races to helkp against the reapers.
Cusomisable armour for you whole Squad. I was a little disapointed that we could only customise Shepherd!!!!

If Shepard is a "Bloody Icon" then I think we should chose if he or she will be the icon of destruction or the Icon of hope.
I echo all the exploration wishes.
I echo all the promiscuity wishes.
Tali unmasked better be there or it'll be a big slap in the face.
Side missions that mean something to me or my personality.
In ME1 for example I could chose a side quest that fit into my personality or change the outcome of it to fit my personal goals. In ME2 almost every side quest had something to do with Cerberus, Blue Suns, Eclipse or Blood Pack and every one led me to kill them all with barely any side deals or Personal meaning to Shepard.
I am personally tired of "Armor". I am not a medieval Knight. If Miranda, Jacob, Thane, Samara, Kasumi, Jack, Mordin and others have cool looking skin tight, revealing or kickass clothing in battle then I want some too. I'm not saying take out "Armor", I'm saying give me the option.
