Less team mates.
Yeah, you've heard me, LESS.

I know what you mean by this.

Whilst I really do like the characters featured in Mass Effect 2, there is just not enough dialogue for them. It was the same with the last X-men film. Yeah its great to see all those characters, but if they don't have the lines...whats the point?

I agree that 5-6 enough characters. This way you can truly get to know your team.

I also hope the game has more loyalty type missions. Why have 1 when 2-3 would be even better. In all honesty I just want Mass Effect to rival the likes of Oblivion and Fallout 3 for game times. Those games have well over 100 missions between main and side quests. I hope Mass Effect 3 is huge.

And bring back grenades for crying out loud.

On Nudity: While there is certainly nothing that necessitates nudity, done properly, it definitely helps the user feel for the character. Like in Heavy Rain, the Madison nudity scene wasn't excessive, and simply made her feel vulnerable. So this is why I wouldn't mind a more mature romance scene.

Also: Please... More dialogue for the characters!

Bring Drew Karpashyn back on the writing team. Not that ME2 is poorly written; but ME1 definitely had superior writing and I really don't think anyone on the writing team had any understanding of Liara's character.

I love ME2. A definite improvement over  ME1. I certainly liked the idea of more movement animation for shepard. I also liked the idea of being able to make your own character male or female. On that note, Female shepard moved like Male Shepard. Basically i found the movement of Female shepard to be.....unfeminine. Look it's all about the details if im playing male shepard, he should move (and does) like a man. Likewise if im playeing female shepard the same should be true (or in this case not). Its just something i wanna be able to see when i play ME3.

NOTE: i know this is silly, but please.

Well here is the big question that we all know will be fixed, its just a matter of how: What will happen to mineral scanning? Like will they basically improve it and then use it as a novelty like they did with the Mako via the Hammerhead or will they alter it so it's still an important part of the game but not mind numbingly boring (seriously it has stopped me from playing my third playthrough). I think they should give you a way to just buy minerals if you want and also allow you to mine them if you decide to and then put more "refined" minerals scattered around. I hate to take it out all together because it gives motivation to explore, I doubt I would have found all the anomalies if it wasn't for the fact I was scanning for minerals. Still it gets really old after about thirty minutes and on a second or third playthough it's like dental work. Mineral selling Batarian slaver on Afterlife would go a long way to fixing the problem I think....

If the reason for planet scanning was because exploring planets would have been too time consuming, I have an idea how planet scanning in Mass Effect 3 can be made better.

Rather than panning every single section the way we have to now, I think there should be an auto-scan option. But because everyone would just upgrade there guns and armour straight away, I think you should have to buy/pay for bots to fly out and collect the minerals.

So you click scan planet. It scans and comes up with 10,000 of each mineral. To collects these minerals you will have to pay which ever company you are working for (Alliance/Cerberus) to then send bots to pick up the minerals.

Rather than scanning how we are now which can take around 5 dull minutes. I think this idea could be much quicker but still make us pay for our upgrades.

I wish to see you guys make our choices from me1 change our gameplay in me3, now ive played me2 many times and everytime i to talis loyalty mission the same dialouge always pops up and only pops up there tells me to be carefull on my decsions for they may have dire ramifications in me3, which ive done different outcomes on the migrant fleet, and found out your actions can cause the fleet to break up or stay unified, now i know that will effect something in me3 but we need something from me 1 like the rachni.. .spoilers, those who saved the rachni are in luck with more forces, those who dont lose a great allie

I know all the "will the" questions have been asked. But I wanna know if

there will be side missions where you can find pirates in the middle of

trading slaves and battling them and saving the slaves. This would be

cool.and then you get to go to a HUB place on the planet and maybe grab a drink and talk to locals.

I was very happy with the changes made in ME2 over ME1.  Many of the things people want back I am happy are gone.  Yeah, they went a little too far paring down the skill tree but I still find it better, I miss my helmet toggle and can live without planet scanning but for the most part I fully support the changes.  I'm not a real creative/artistic person so I will not presume to tell Bioware how to tell me a story.  I don't care how many squad mates I have or if anyone comes back or doesn't.

There is one thing that I really do hope they make and improvement on and that is the squad mechanics.  I'm not talking about the occasionally stupid A.I. where Miranda jumps up on top of a crate in the middle of a battle so she can die in 3 seconds.  That would be nice to fix but I understand there are limits and sometimes stupid things will happen.  I just want my squad to do what I tell them to do EVERY time.  When I press my 'E' key, I don't want to just hear "Moving to cover," I actually want them to do it...quickly.  Once they are in cover, I want them to stay in cover and not leave again until I either tell them to go to another spot or hit 'C' to have gather on me.  Just because the last enemy on the screen is gone doesn't mean you get to leave cover because the next wave of spawn might be coming.  Sometimes I want to solo an area but if I get out of range they come running in guns blazing.

If they just fix that I will be happy.  If they really want to get me to do back flips they can make line of sight based on squad position not Shepard's position so that the game would be more tactical.  No more mortars from the safety of the next room but also no more overloads blowing up on the pillar in front of me.  Fix the squad ammo override issue.  Finally add a third level of control to the squad where they are completely passive and won't even shoot unless I tell it to.  This would allow you to keep a squadmate who has lost shields in cover and not stick their head into heavy weapons fire.

I will admit that this probably bothers me more than most because I simply HATE using immunity.  It just doesn't seem right to me to have that ability.  At least I get extra credits from all the Med-Gel kits and don't waste them on the capacity increases.

Bring back conversations where all squad mates get involved with the topic. Instead of this Shepard talks to Important character A while squad mates 1 and 2 run off to a little corner and play "im not getting involved". This way it makes more of a difference for which squad mates you bring on the missions with you. for example back in ME1 on Noveria you had a choice to bring Liara (if you had her) down to see her mother. She would get involved with the conversation, didn't have any real effect on it, but made it feel more personal.

ME3 needs to be bigger.. lots and lots bigger.
Doing everything there is to do you can finish ME1 in roughly 30 hours.
Doing everything there is to do you can finish ME2 in roughly 40 hours.
(Depending on playing style, first or second runthrough etc.)

They are great games, and with the different classes and paragon/renegade there is replayability enough, but still, overall the games are too short.

I'd like to see at least 120 hours of gameplay for ME3 and if they learned from DA:O, i hope it will.

I see a lot of griping about the inventory system and the like, it's an RPG, an inventory is obligatory.
ME is not just a shooter with some funny dialog.

Copy/paste wishlist from another thread :P

1. Ability to choose the number of squadmates to take on a mission with you from 0 to all, the more you take with you the higher the difficulty level of that mission.

2. Guest characters that join you for a couple of missions and then leave again, these could be former teammates or aquintences.

3. Like mentioned, the game needs te be bigger, lots bigger, lots and lots bigger, lots and lots and lots bigger, to paraphrase Douglas Adams, the game needs to be Mindbogglingly big,
Longer main story, more subquests related to main story, more subquest unrelated to the story.
More quests related to your shipmates and their loyalty, you gotto make them love you so much their willing to take a bullit in the head for you.

The idea i had was also using the messageboard system like in DA:O, C-sec message board, Go bounty hunting, get cash, grab loot, that kind of stuff.
(improve your relationship with different races, the council, teammembers)

4. Bigger more active universe, you only hear about other ships, the ones you find are either derelicts, crashing, or enemies, only at the Citadel do you actually see other active ships, and those are only warships.

5. More open career, Grab Jack, hoist the jolly rogers en really go Renegade, Yarrrr.
(or respond to every distress call and have Dr. Chakwas check everyone who hit their head on a bulkhead (boooring))

6. The ability that no matter what class you are you can train for every weapon or armor.

6a. Basicly bring back the ME1 skillpoint system, or better yet, use the DA:O inventory, armor, weapon, skillpoint system, that works just great.

7. It might take a lot of time to implement but the choice of either manually flying the Normandy or autojoker on aprouches to spacestations, planets, Mass Effect Relays, in battle.

I don't know what the storyline's gonna be, but if Shep is welcomed back by the Alliance, he'd loose the Normandy SR2, as it's owned by Cerberus.
So:

8. A new and improved Normandy SR3 (and this time make sure it says Normandy 3 on the side :P ), The SR1 and SR2 where Frigate class ships, time this Specter is getting some respect and give him a dang Cruiser class, whit a couple of nice main cannons on turrets, AA batteries, missle launchers and Fighterbays ^_^
(just make sure Joker downloads EDI before we leave Cerberus;) )

Reading some other wishlists wich had some great ideas iv'e had some additional thoughts.

Shepard has his shipboard clothing and mission armour changes, why doesn't the rest of the crew?
That would stop people griping about Jack wearing her flimsy outfit in a vacuum ;)

When going on a diplomatic mission to the quarrians, have them react really badly if you take Legion with you.
Allthough "Geth do not intentionally infiltrate" was hillarious the Quarrians would have a different view.

I mention this as it doesn't seem to matter what you do, your crew is allways behind you.
I'd like to see Samara, Jacob, Tali or Miranda be horrified if you do something outragously renegade (like shooting a prisoner in the head), or have Grunt/Wrex/Jack/Jaeed treat you with contempt if you go all Paragon.
No matter where you go, what you do, your crew is allways one step behind you, have missions where some of you're crew just can't be selected, Like Jack going into a Cerberus base to talk to the Illusive man, or Wrex/Grunt revusing to go to the Salarian homeworld.
There is little in the way of their characters, what they'd do or wouldn't do, their likes or dislikes, they have their own personalities, but they rarely act like it.

That's it for now i think :P

As for the 'the end' of ME.
It might be the end of this trilogy.
But the ME Universe is big, lot's more games to be made.
Loads of 'Spinoffs'

They don't even have to be stand alone games.

I can see a whole range of DLC for ME3 starting with "The Story Of.." and fill in all the names of all the characters you had on the crew, starting pre-ME1.

Go back further, Be a prothean desperetly trying to warn your people of the impending Reaper attack, and be powerless to stop it..

I for one see an endless sea of ME-Universe Games in the future :P

Honestly the make or break thing I want is ALL characters to return and be playable (only if they survived of course) plus I want like 8 new characters. I made sure everyone survived for a reason, I want them back in ME3 in my squad if I choose. I think you should be able to customize your squad like you can pick and ME1 or ME2 character or opt for a new character in a squad of say 18-20 squadmates. If I don't get that everything else won't matter to me, I'll be disappointed regardless.
Other than that I really just want a higher level cap, more stuff to buy, about 7 hours of additional play time, and for glitches to be cleaned up just a bit more but those are all standard upgrades for new games in the series I think we all expect anyway...

Dude, it was already too many for me in ME2. In the first part everybody in your team had a task to do. In the second part there are people which I never used in a mission. That never happened before. I don't count the loyality missions and the last fight because you have already defined teammembers there. I would like to see my old squad from the second part and if anybody is dead then leave it like this. I mean some will quit actualy. Zaheed and Samara decided to help you just with The Collectors so I expect them to be gone. In theirs' place can come back Liara(Samara), Ashley(Zaheed) and as an extra Kaidan(nobody). It will suite the "lovers" and fill our team with ballanced members. I don't expect Miranda to leave the group but she is like Kaidan so I think adding him would be best. And the rest? Let them be if they survived, I mean if nobody did then you're dead too so there is new guy with new squad. I don't know how will BW solve this. I don't want a new Shepard and as I'm watching some clips they say it will be so. Shepard is just one. But i don't mind playing a new hero. New human spectre, or not human, just recruited by Anderson or Udine or Cerberus too rescue the galaxy.

Ok how about this...we stick to 12 squadmate, maybe even 10 BUT you get to choose which ones you want and there are say 15-20 characters overall to choose from. Like you have a maximum of 12 but you can go from place to place picking up/swapping people depending on your own tastes.  That would give the game more replayablility too bc each new game you could mix around which characters you want. Remember how you could choose between Samara or Morinth? Granted they were basically the same gameplay wise but I thought that was cool, they should let us choose between say Jack and a new character or between Wrex and Grunt in the next one...everybody likes certain characters and hates certain characters and this way everyone would be happy with their squad. For example I  hate Grunt (as a personality anyway) I really would have liked the choice to swap him out on Tuchanka for Wrex. That's the kinda stuff I want, it would keep the squad from getting too bulky but provide you with a wealth of characters to choose from on each and every play though.

I think it perfectly fits the idea of diferent groups in ME3. I mean doing one thing will cuse Cerberus to like you more and The Aliance will be against it. So if u play as a paragon, more councill and alaince guys will join, like Samara, Ashley, Tali and as a renagade player you will recruit Jack, Zaheed or somebody like this. Some teammembers should be neutral like Grunt or Jacob.

And the nudity. I really liked the love scenes in ME2 more then in ME1. You know, I liked the ones from 1st part but I never wanted to see Garrus or Thane naked so I really like it as it is now. Expect that I want to see Tali's face. It was horrible that they unmasked her and even so hid her face.

I'd really like to see Wrex as playable in ME3 with a much deeper role. More RPG elements and remove the scanning system entirely. Add more armor and gun varieties and more whole galaxy plot development (as much as I liked the recruitment part of the game, it was the vast majority of the game itself and I need more info about the way the galaxy works and what is going on with the reapers.

I'm not so sure. They already have most of the grafic done. Now it's just a little upgrading of textures and models. All they have to do is change some gaming stuff which we are fighting here for. But if they changed the game in ME2 so in 2,5 years then they can do it in 1,8 year. They already have all hero models, all wepons, all the stuff that is important. I know that it still is lot of work, but realy they plan to finish it in 1,8 year but it will take like 2,2 or even more. It's always like that and i real want it to take longer rather than playing a not fully perfect game.

I think for ME3, Bioware just needs to find the perfect balance between ME1 and ME2. I would love a hybrid of the research upgrades of ME2 and weapon mods of ME1. Let us spend resources on upgrades, but don't automomatically apply every upgrade. Make us choose which upgrades we want to use on which weapons. The amount of weapons in ME2 would have been fine if we were allowed to customize them.

N7 missions felt pointless to me, compared to the rest of the game, because of the lack of conversations. They were much better quality than UNC missions in ME1, I still enjoyed the UNC missions more.

Seriously though pretty much everything Id like to see and more. Especially like the idea of going pirate if your uber remegade or maybe get something like anti terror/slaver missions if your more paragon. and please for the love of God bring back wrex, legion, and more importantly Tali. Not too worried about the last two but we need wrex's sheer badassatude back on the Normandy. If not as a squad member then at least bring him in with a significant part in the story. Id love to have a joint mission or several with him and elements of clan Urdnot either to beat some of the other clans into submission and then rip the **** out of some reaper asses (they do have those right ?Posted Image)

ME3 started development before ME2 was released. Also, when they made ME2, they started alot of things over from scratch. ME3 wouldn't need to take as long to finish if they simply imrpoved on the foundation placed by ME2.
