Oh yeah I'm sure this has already been mentioned but randomize the friggin dialogue wheel.

Stop putting the nice guy on top and the ***hole on the bottom; force the player to think before they open their mouth.

If you want full paragon/renegade you gotta work for it.

The reason they have to position the text in the wheel, is because its not identical to what you say. Sometimes the text in the middle would look like it would be more appropiate for a paragon answer. Its a flawed system to be honest.

That's more of a problem with wording that can easily be fixed.  Although given the amount of dialogue in the game I can understand why bioware chose a more structured format as opposed to something like in heavy rain.

A Hanar party member, possibly a biotic.

Or at least as a medical officer if Chawkwas was killed in the 2nd ME.

If Mass Effect still has crew members other than just your team mates. Please allow us to talk to them and ask why they joined up etc. Similar to how you do with the lad and lass in the engine bay.

Someone said they wanted a Hanar squadmate?  LOL!  I don't think that the Hanar body type lends itself to being conducive to an action game.  It's a big Jellyfish....

Things I want for ME3:

Better weapons for the Adapt class AND The ability to use more than one ability before the cooldown kicks in
.  Until I got the Locust SMG, I was stuck with the pathetic Machine Pistol and Hand Cannon.  On the harder difficulties- where enemies take a lot of bullets / biotics to be put down- I'm useless in a fight because I'm always on a cooldown.  Give me the ability to use 2 or 3 biotic abilities before my cooldowns kick in, so I'm not always waiting around.

Less Technician teammates, I want a fellow Spectre.

Better handguns-
the two in the game so far aren't that impressive.

Bring back the ability for non-soldier classes to carry 3 weapons instead of two.  I have no idea why this was changed, but it seems like a silly thing to change.  IMO, there's no reason an Adapt would be able to carry a SMG, but not an Assault Rifle, or shotgun.

A program like the Director in Left 4 Dead that randomizes the frequency, placement, intensity of enemy encounters.

Ditch the email system.  Bring back Joker putting transmissions on Ship Com,  And make the Com Room useable more often.

The load screens gotta go.  You did away with the Elevator rides in favor of the load screens?  If you have to have a load screen, it may as well be entertaining.  They both seem to be the same length, only the load screens are boring.

In Mass Effect 3, please try to emulate the intensity of the Suicide Mission as much as possible (within the bounds of good story telling of course).  It was fantastic.  I was literally nervous when I played it.  ME3 will be the climax of the story.  Please don't make it pedestrian.  Please give us good pacing, and a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy.

That's all I can think of at the moment.  Thanks for one of the best games I've ever played.

I was thinking about those skills. I mean an Adept is a master in biotics. I understund the cooldown in the semiclasses but Adept should have the posibility to use all the skills at once. Maybe the cooldown from ME2 can be aplied for evry skill not for all of them at once. Using Singularity won't block other skills. Also a system to make some combos would be nice. I mean just combine some skills, for example first a Singularity and then throw and the demage stuff (I don't remember the name) at two random enemies. But only for an Adept. On Insanity mode he's always hiding and waiting for a skill. And suicide mission is really dificult. I know it's ment to be like this but still I think an Adept should be oposite to a soldier, kill without shooting.

This is more a list of what could be improved from ME2 to ME3. (PC version)

First I would say, I did like Mass Effect 2 game alot. Never seen before that cinematic style in games. I mean that middle animation where affected by players game choises. Like armour colors and powers.

I don't mind that game is linear, because it's one stor. Mostly because really make it to not linear would require alot more content than player can see by playing. How ever, player do need some freedom of choises too.

1. Squad members

Players should have ability choose squad members by them self.  More like if you squad size is 10 members, then the pool inside the game should be like 12 members, so that player isn't forced to choose any specific squad member. I tryed to ****** off one squad member, but it was not possible. Same result allways, even what I did. That's not so good. Also I wasn't able to get to other squad members before I had recruited some others first. I  would like more choises in the order of squad member recruiting for player.

I did not really need so many squad members, between 6-8 would have fine for me. How ever, I do want select my own squad members, not be forced to choose someone. I did not like all squad npcs. Not that they where bad, just not my taste.

2. Character customation

Hair and it's movement. I like the way graphics was done, so cinema like, only thing missing was hair movement. Maybe little more hair choises?

Also I like that player was able to choose some powers. Because I don't really allways like what's given for class. As there was classes, then there should have been only one or two forced class power and rest to choosen.

3. Cinema style

I would like all ME3 gameplay done same cinema like style. Example mineral gathering in ME2 was not done that way.  My mouse hand started to hurt from all mineral gathering. It was just too seperated game, when it could have done also more cinema ways. Like player starting automatic mining factories and then pick up materials from there, when there would be something to pick up. Meaning landing to planet and so on..

Sound, voices and graphics where excelent in ME2. Not much to improve except the hair.
Story was fine too.

4. Missions

More missions what aren't just battle and keep them longer enough. Like moving cargo or colony to somewhere or scout or exploration missions. Keep all missions cinema like and not too short or simple. Little like game is TV-serie seasons (telling one story) and every TV-episode is the mission.

In my opinion so missions where way too short. Can't give example here, but many planet missions where really short. I think all missions should be longer enough, not some snack food. Also there could be more missions.

5. Locations

If there really was alot of colonies in many different planets, then why not allow player to visit them.  I ques my point was that there wasn't so many places to visit. Most the time it was in side the Normandy. As for size of the places, I did not much care. Of course you would expect bigger place to be bigger. Give ME3 little more fealing that the colonies around the universe is more alive.

6. Weapons

When class has more than 3 weapon, it's gonna be hard to choose between weapons. It would be easyer, if player could directly choose the weapon from hot key or allow players not to take every weapon to missions. I notice that I did not use every weapon in all missions.

Weapon and ammos where little problem. I mean if You run out of ammos in one weapon, then other weapos would be fine, even if they used same kind of ammos?

Why not just allow players choose how many different kind of clips player takes with him. Then fill those clips. More like player has total amount of clips, but to what weapons those clips are, is players choise. Example sniper riffle 10 clips, heavy pistol 3 clip, heavy launcher 5 clip. Total of 15 clips, but how many shots is inside every clips is based what the weapon is. Player how ever, have allways 15 clips, but how it's divided for weapons should be players choise.

Also do we need so many different weapons to every missions, maybe 3 different one would be enough.

7. Tools

I would like more toys/tools in missions, what aren't combat related. Binoculars and some science tools maybe?

8. NPC's

In cities and location, npcs where too static in ME2, keep some of them moving around, so  that it support better game atmosphere.

9. Interface

In ME2 you can't really select squad members powers, if it's not in automatic. They all level up, but only way to level them up them manually is go to mission. Where is the not mission squad level up possibility, like You can do for Your own character.

Also the target cursor when shooting should be smaller, more close to center. So that it shows better where do I really shoot.

I would like ability write something in the saved game. Mostly because Normandy 1, 2 , 3 ,4 doesn't tell much.

10. Gameplay

I liked how the gameplay worked, except the weapon selection stuff. The mineral mining wasn't really that fun. Make mining more like cinema fun, not like my mouse hand hurts from all the work.

I will write more when I have played ME1 too.

Ability to talk to ALL of crew on ship and Date all female crew/ females able to date all guys (keeping it fair)
Ability to talk to squadmates while exploring and fighting
Special ammo back
Ability to collect different armor again
Maybe missions where you are the side characters. I'd love to do a side Garrus mission as him
Co-Op during missions (hate the NPC squad. You have to babysit them during fights. I want Humans/ friends to play alone side me.)
Female versions of all races mentioned
FIX Biotics (They cant use their powers until shields/ barriers are gone) WTF is the point of a Biotic that needs a gun?! Jack annoyed me due to her not focusing on Biotics and more on her guns.
More Decals for amor and styles of armor
Space Fights (Ship Battles)
Ship VS Reaper battles
Ciditel back in full force. I want to be able to dance with the squad again
EDI needs a body. Joker needs a woman and the ships AI is perfect for him.
Garrus Needs to run into his old Partner in 3
Tali needs to be shown out of her suit
Love scenes need to be on par with ME1 but better
More interactions with your love interest/ more with the crew
Swords of some kind (Beam Katanas/Claymores)

"Moar luv" - Yes. More LIs.

Very evil renegade options - I mean, stabbing someone with repair tool or throwing em off window is bad, but i'd like to kill some of my squad members Posted Image. I dont like some of them pretty much, i would throw them in flames if i could.

More armor customization - Yes more parts.

Squad members returning - I ould like to see some of them again and use their help, y' know, someone i can trust.

"Moar B00MSTICkZ!" - More weapons, bigger and brighter explosions. KA-B00M!

EDIT:
By returning squad members i meant Samara/Morinth... mostly but not only. Posted Image

I really wish there was more diversity when it comes to exploration, for example I dont want to just visit uninhabited planets for a five minute long mission, but explored and even habited planets with civilizations, and truely explore the enviroments. Side missions should also be longer but not boring and a pain to complete, a side story to help bring these side missions along give them some depth would be amazing. There are a couple of planets that I really want to visit like the Turian home planet, the Quarian homeworld, Elysium, and Earth really needs to be incorporated into the main campaign. And finally it would be cool to go back to planets you visited in the first and second game and see how your actions have changed the planet.

I would say for number 3:

-Allow the use of the XBOX LIVE VISION CAMERA. This will allow players to put their face on commander Shepard.

-More general customization options for ship, armour and TEAM CLOTHING AND ARMOUR.

-Deeper relationship options with characters. Once Shepard's done the deed in the current MEs, there are no real further relationship development options.

-Allow Shepard to choose between Tali and Ashley!

-Keep the driving aspect OUT of the game (like number 2)

I found in ME1 the one part I didn't like was driving the vehicle around the planets as it got a little boring.

-Keep the combat system exactly the same as ME2 (It is absolutely perfect and doesn't need tweaking!)

-Allow Shepard to INVEST CREDITS! This could make him credits or lose him credits.....

-Romance scenes more like ME1 (show some skin!)

-Finally......LEAVE ME3 WITH AN OPEN END (FOR MASS EFFECT 4!!!)

There will be no Mass Effect 4. Well, not in the continuation of Shepard anyway. Shepards story was always meant as a trilogy and thusly ME3 cannot be open ended (as in continuing the story), but can at least introduce a protagonist/antagonist for future development.

First off, I think ME2 has made massive improvements over ME1 in regards to gameplay, balance, pacing, and depth. Some things I would like to see in the next game are:

A) Drop the repetitive planet scanning resource farming. I would simplify planets back down to pretty pictures with descriptions a la ME1. As an alternative, I would list what resources are abundant on a given planet, and then give the player a small number of probes (or whatever) that could be dedicated to gathering those resources between missions. They would continue to gather until the planet was depleted or until they were committed to farming another planet.

B) I want a Vorcha party member. There's one squatting in the corner of my brain right now, but I don't think this is the place to dump him.

C) A major Elkor NPC could be awesome. They seem very interesting, and have a culture as of yet mostly unexplored. Maybe a political struggle or something?

D) The ability to respec party members skills without restarting the game would be wonderful.

E) Fix the damn cover! There have been plenty of times I've died because a corner rounded where I didn't want it to, or I pressed the 'get down!' button too desperately, and popped my head back up into some bullets (or rockets).

F) Some sort of money investment mini-game might be nice.

G) I'd like to have more choices in weapon upgrades.

I want to see more people walking around the stations doing stuff. I want to see a living breathing world.

Going from the 'bustling' Illium, to a game like Assassins Creed is a massive shift. The Unreal engine supports large numbers of mobile characters. Make use of it, people are doing it in cut scenes, do it in gameplay.

More choice and consequence. Want more Virmire choices, more two missiles can only knock out one choice, more Bring down the sky choices. Things that make me sit there staring at the screen in frustration. Then really make us feel those consequences.

Pull out all the stops and really make us see the results of previous decisions. Make us regret or love some of the decisions we've made, really make it OUR story.

Also *Ahem* want a space station / or the Normandy to act like the keep in Awakenings. Basically expand on the upgrade system of the Normandy in ME2. Nothing that requires constant maintenance or anything, but just something that some decisions can affect the ending, work a bit harder and lives will be saved, don't do it, lives will be lost.

I don't know if it's just me, but ME2 seems to have attracted a larger audience of new fans, which is great, but they're more inclined to play ME2 like a shooter and are less concerned about the RPG which got so many fans on board with ME1. Like I said, might be my imagination, but don't let Mass Effects roots become forgotten beneath a new wave of fans that are less RPG inclined. Mass Effect has the potential to be THE PINNACLE of game hybridisation, don't spend too much time leaning one way or the other.

I recently came back to ME2 after a break from it, have thought of a few things that could help make the game better.

1. More squad conversations:

I was disappointed with the amount of conversations available for some of the squaddies, while some were fine, others (like Garrus) only had 1 conversation when you brought them aboard, 1 to ask for your help in the loyalty mission, and another to thank you in the loyalty mission. There may have been another, but over the course of such a long game it felt like a couple of the squaddies really had nothing to say to you.

Even something like Ashley/Kaiden's thoughts one the last mission from ME1 could be applied for everybody. Joker and Kelly had it, why stop there? i.e. Maybe if you talk to Garrus after the Jack recruitment mission he'd say something about Jack, or maybe he'd tell us what he thought of the warden. Maybe Legion, if we'd been able to get him at that point, would have commented on Jack's software being corrupted (she's crazy).

2. The availability of squad mates:

This one wasn't a huge problem overall, but I was annoyed with the timing of getting Legion, someone as compelling as him I'd like to take on many of the main storyline missions... but as soon as you recruit him you're basically forced through the Omega 4 relay unless you want your entire crew to die.

3. Side quest problems (again!)

We all know the problems plaguing ME1s side quests, namely the Mako and the 3 different rooms you fight in 1000 times, but those quests had good storylines. In ME2, the things you do are quite varied, with completely different environments, but I felt they were quite lacking in story. Maybe it's the fact that Admiral Hackett was replaced by emails and planet scanning, a fact that I hate by the way, but in ME1 we were given a mission by somebody, we went and completed it (with storyline choices along the way), and we saw a resolution. In ME2 we scanned a planet, went down and looked at the pretty environments, maybe did a bit of fighting along the way, and were treated with an end mission screen. Ugh.

Bottom line:
  • Start and end side quests by talking to people, not by planet scanning or emails.
  • Give us dialogue choices within the side quests
  • Launch the planetary side quests at Hubs like Illium/Omega etc. so we don't have to scan every planet in the galaxy looking for them.
  • Keep the environments varied
  • The Mako is gone, the Kodiak drops me where I want to be, lets leave it that way... but maybe the occasional vehicle mission would be OK, take the geth incursion in the Armstrong(?) nebula for example.
Basically, bring back ME1's side quest system minus the pointless driving and the repetitive fight rooms... they were the only problems people had with the ME1 side quests anyway.

4. Armor system

ME2 promised to give you "the armor that looks the way you want and gives you the stats you want"... but it was one or the other, not both. You could have a fantastic looking set that was statistically irrelevant for what you wanted, or you could have performance set that was most likely ugly and mismatched.

Don't get me wrong, the individual pieces thing is much better than the ME1 system, but it needs improvement. Let us buy schematics for the "form" of armor pieces and blueprints for performance... then Normandy's fabrication unit (the thing that makes us all those guns etc.) can piece together the armor we want. For example:

Formwork:
  • N7 Guantlets
  • Stabilizor Gauntlets (the look only, not the effect)
  • etc.
Material:
  • Steel (+armor... which I suppose would mean health)
  • Salarian Alloy #564 (+storm speed... because it's lightweight)
  • etc.
Lacing(?):
  • Discreet power source (+shields)
  • Element Zero nodules (+biotic damage)
  • etc.
You get the idea, mix 'n match. Once you get the blueprint you can use it from then on, better blueprints at higher levels i.e. Lvl 1 steel blueprint = +2% health, Lvl 30 = +8% health.

Maybe each time you fabricate a new bit of armor you use platinum/palladium/irridium/eezo that you've gathered. You can keep & discard old bits of armor. Free colour change though.

Personally I think it's a good system, though it should have more armor appearances than ME2 though, strictly because I didn't think there was enough, should have been twice as many.

There's more improvements I can think of, but I'm sure they've been talked about already, this'll be enough typing for one day.

Oh, and more transparency with the performance of weapons. I get not wanting to bog the "shooter people" down with numbers... but that doesn't mean we shouldn't get to see the stats if we want to.

Maybe there's a new menu in Shepard's private terminal labelled "Weapons", that lists your available weapons and their stats, for example:

Rate of fire

Damage per round vs. health

Damage per round vs. armor

Damage per round vs. barriers/shields

Range

etc. etc.

If it's tucked out of the way on Shepard's terminal I can't really see any downside to providing that information; it doesn't make any difference to gameplay, but the information is there if you want to see it.

I would love to see them expand on the romance aspect of the game. I had like 4 conversations with tali and it got her in bed... its even less for some characters. Had a female shepard romance garrus and it only took 3... Allow shepard to give them gifts and maybe have short dating scenes, nothing huge, but short dating scenes where they talk about each other... Just incorporate more dialogue. Make it feel like shepard REALLY knows his/her LIs. Better yet more side quests related to LI's. Example, a LI's friend/loved one disappears and they ask you to help find them. Or it could be help with an enemy like the one for Garrus in ME1. Essentially, more loyalty missions. Give the option to flirt, make it feel like you are actually hitting on your LI. Make marriage an option and make the player work for it a little. Possible maybe through gifts, helping LI with side quests, or exploring more dialogue options. I wouldn't suggest ALL 3, but they should definitely expand it somehow.

Scrap the planet scanning! It is so mind numbingly tedious! It wouldn't be so bad if it was faster or you needed less resources, but in its current state it is terrible!

Keep the inventory system gone or make it less important. I got tired of spending 30 minutes reducing 150 mods and weapons to omni-gels. Make the inventory for mission items or unique items.

Include a way to make money or at least give us a little after every kill... I can end up killing 30 mercs on a single mission and none of them are carrying credits? Yeah right..... Allow people to loot for money at least

Less planets and more side quests or explore able areas! I hate the fact that there were entire systems with nothing but scanning to do.

Either cutscenes (landing, docking etc) use in game engine or make them higher resolution <_<

THIS HURTS ME
