BIGGER CITADEL!! I was very disappointed with the citadel in ME2 and thought it would be much bigger because the devs were describing it as this massive space station....that only has four floors.......improve on the citadel featured in ME1 that one was way better

This. For real.

I felt the Citadel was just so small. There wasn't anything to explore, really. A bigger citadel would be awesome in ME 3.

Also, I think a bigger list of skills wouldn't hurt. The list of skill you could give your squad members was really low. Around 3-4 skills per squady? I also don't like the new "instant gratification" leveling up. Well, you have to wait until you end a mission to level, but, I mean how, instead of gradual leveling, you get one big fat hunk of skill at a time. It doesn't feel natural. You don't gain twenty pounds of muscle or biotic powers in a night. It takes time.

Haha yeah I'll be in that situation, too, with one of my Shepards, so yeah. :)

But I agree, this type of plotline is important. Those who had two separate LI's should see several confrontation/argument scenes between the two or between one of them and Shepard, or even one LI asking if Shepard still has feelings towards the other. Also, for the choice, there should be a wheel-full of response after you choose, not just neutral, paragon, renegade, so that whoever you choose, you can give any reason you want.

All I can say is this, I'm a huge RPG Fan, RPGs are my favorite genre, shooters are my least favorite genre, yet I enjoyed playing ME2 several times more than I did ME1, and felt that it was an overall improvement.

While I miss the planet exploration, the ability to equip my squad with different armor, helmet toggle, and the elevator rides in place of annoying loading screens, I HATED ME1's Loot/Inventory System and the redundant micromanaging that came with it, so please ignore the people who're begging for it back because it was awful.
Picking up several duplicates of the same useless weapon out of lockers/safes and eventually having to take 10-15 minutes out of the game to convert all of the excess items I picked up into Omni-Gel was nothing but annoying & disruptive, and I favor ME2's system far more.

Furthermore, ME1's Loot/Inventory System just didn't feel right in Mass Effect... In a game like Dragon Age, The Elder Scrolls, or Fallout it works fine, but in a futuristic game like Mass Effect it just feels out of place...

I don't want them to tweek it and put it back in ME3 either, just leave it out.

I want Mass Effect 3 to take ME2's Weapon/Armor System, and make it a bit more accessible... Put more Weapons Lockers in levels so that we can switch out weapons more often, and add Armor Lockers as well so that we don't have to go back to the Normandy to add a new part we just bought or change out armor, give us a deeper weapons customization system, and allow us to change our squad's armor once again and I'll be happy.

As for the rest of the game? Bring back planet exploration instead of scanning, and replace the clunky Mako with the smoother controlled Hammerhead.

Bring back Elevator Rides with amusing conversations rather than annoying Load Screens.

Allow me to Toggle off Shep's Helmet or at least make it come off automatically in conversation ala Dragon Age, and for the love of God take it easy on the one piece armors.

Otherwise, Mass Effect 2 was absolutely excellent and you can leave everything else exactly as it was when you make ME3.

Also, If you're going to unmask Tali in ME3, use this...

ME2 was an improvement over ME in so many ways but i hated how linear it was, you even have cursur to point you in the right direction, i really hated that

also a new less boring way to mine for resources won't hurt

No no, we need a soundtrack that fits the game, ME2 with ME1 soundtrack would've been awful. But in ME1 it worked. And ME2 had a great soundtrack. And no, don't keep that galaxy map music, i hate it :crying:

Bring back Ashly in a big way. The new inventory system is a lot sleeker and better, however, for those who prefer endless customization it should be offered and I don't think it would take up much resources, especially if you arleady plan on a double DVD game. More customizable armor and even texture maps. would be WAY fun to have a couple texture maps we could offload our 360 or tower via USB or drive, do some photoshop work then reimport them into the game. that would be cool. longer quests from the ship crews. I would still like to see an option to export our saved characters and skills sets into a 4th game that was more of a shooter or squad shooter similar to the original Unreal Tournament. That would be great to play teams where we are controlling in real time human on human combat either directing our 2 team mates as usuall for squad vs squad action... or even have an option to unlock the other races for some seriously funny mahem. (Thinking Volus with a chain gun or rocket launcher.. hee hee hee..) future Mass Effect games could be more RPG styled as well as FPS/squad combat as well. Halo has how many Halo games? Why couldn't we have different types of Mass Effect games as well. To be honest, I'll buy both RPG as well a FPS/3rdPS.

oh, and seeing Ashly eat her words about Shep, and not believing he didn't hook up for the loyal Sheps. Though it would be funny to see her mad at Tali and what Tali might say if you romanced Tali...

Bioware please incorporate other spectres into the storyline, Ive always wondered how they would interact between one another, and with the threat the reapers pose to all species this is a great oppurtunity to bring them together and force them to work together. Also working with other organization would be cool like the Salarian STG or the League of One survivor, Asari special forces Commados, one of my favorite characters from the ME universe is Samara, I want more characters like her. And incorporate more Turians please, there my favorite race, second to humans of course.

Sterlk wrote about armour customization. I think it's a good idea but I would change it a little. I mean it's ok that some armour parts give us some bonuses nut I would like to see some armour upgrades like "biotic booster" or "omnitool charger". I know it sounds strange but think about it. You can develop in your Lab diferent materials which will influence you armour and speed. But in Armoury you can add to your designed armour some upgrades like "shield recharger" or "kinetic booster" like in ME1. Let's keep the levels of items from ME1 but don't collect new stuff. Just upgrade the one you have. During missions you can find some rifle or a dead guy wearing an unusual armour piece. Scan him with omnitool and EDI will tell you if there is something interesiting in there. Then just collect it. Or you find a terminal in Blue Suns base and hack it collecting some new technology which you can study in the Lab. Let's say that you have an armour which lvl is 1. Now you develop the better materials (which add like 1-2 lvls) and add kinetic boosters and biotic boosters (evry part giving 1 lvl) and you end up with an armour on 3-4 lvl. You can change the upgrades put into the item however you want. The same goes for wepons. You can study better mateirals for wepons which will make them lighter so they will have better acuracy (just examples) but in the Amroury you add some optics and chose which two ammo upgrades you want to take with on the next mission. This idea will need some inventory but it will be like 2-3 slots for every team member and it's just upgrades so we don't end up with our hero running with his/her pockets full with rifles, armours, omnitools and upgrades. Just upgrades, parts and memory discs (maybe the last one will require a tech in team). Well that's all. I know that for some persons it's already an old idea but I will keep writing about this. I think it's a good solution for both players and BioWare. And maybe some BioWare guy will read this post and think about it. Maybe.

Well overall its hard to tell what improvements i want in ME3, haha
its because ME saga is probably the best saga i ever played so far, and i really enjoyed the choices, character developement, story, music, atmosphere, etc

but the thing which i want them to improve probably would be, the option of getting other armors apart from N7, and being able to custumize it even more.

also i am not sure if many people would like this, but maybe it would be nice to talk with your teammates apart from being inside the normandy? i mean if you are in the citadel or omega night club, it would be a nice option to talk with them there, like for example in Dragon Age origins,

and of course more paragon and renegade action Posted Image with more chances to affect the story in different ways depending on player choices

peace guys Posted Image

I might be the minority but I felt Me was far better than Me2. So for Me3 I would like to see more of the first game but better.

Like fix the inventory so we do get so much since that seems to be the big complaint and instead of the same warehouse/spaceship/building throw variety in there. ME3 should be massive and make you feel like you on a epic adventure travel the triverse.

Me2 was way to linear and left me unforfeld.

When traveliing of a planet in ME you could look at the sky and you felt like you were there. ME2 had the graphics but lack the feeling you were not on earth.

ME2 story was so-so and just because it is the middle shouldn't mean it should not progress. It felt like a prelude to a sequel, but that just my honest opinion. I still love it but sadly I still play the first more.

oh and PLEASE no mp or co-op keep it a rpg

I don't know how you guys are gonna fix this, but my shepard first banged ashley and kinda left liara hanging for the rebound, then had casual sex with jack, came on very strong with samara, got really suggestive with tali, finally did miranda and ended up with kelly in the end.

ME3 better have a really good ending to this. Can't wait to have this blow up in my face. That, or have a seven-some.

More seriously, the ammo system from me2. It's not logical that all heat sinks can replenish every weapon ammo, but you can't share heat sinks between weapons to fire. make the reserve ammo one pool. Also, when you're out of ammo (your pool is up), the gun switches to ME1 style (overheating after a couple of shots).

Also, why is the solar system the ONLY system with 9 (or 8, stupid scientists who have to be 'correct' about everything) planets? doesn't make sense.

Don't bring back the billions of armors and guns from me1. It was too... chaotic. me2 did perfectly, albeit that you should be able to choose both armor functionality and looks, and not have to choose the ugly parts because they're good.

side quests, as everyone said, more storylike.

Don't bring back driving over planets with mako. Something like the planet scanning for resources gathering would be good, but a more interactive/renewing game.

I also want to be able to see more cities/cultures. i know that's a lot to ask, but many times during the game you read planet descriptions of marvellous world or cities, or get references from elcor or hanar about their worlds. if they tell me i should see it because it' beautiful, I do actually want to see it -_- Also, i wanna see earth int he future.

make sure you round up the following stories: rachni, krogan genophage, quarian/geth homeworld, and alliance.

As for skills, I really like what you did (one point, 2 points 3 points etc, limited amoutn of skills to increase play variety) but, as has been stated before, skills should cooldown seperately. Also, i really like how different skills affect different defenses differently. different.

other then that... brilliant game. Brilliant.

I don't have anything against co-op but maybe in the next game. I don't think that ME3 is designed to be a co-op game. I mean you can choose just one teammember class and the rest is predefined so you lack the choice to decide.

As for inventory look at my previous post.

And ME2 was totaly linear but ME1 was also. You had just a couple of missions to do. What helped was the ability to choose how you acomplished you missions. Like on Noveria you could just pass the evidence to Lorik or tell the boss you have them. Or hack the gate to labs or help others to get there legaly. It's the choices I want back in ME3. Also let us decide if the mission will be done quietly or with a big boom.

I liked Mass Effect 2. My opinions don't mean nothing...but all talk for a while.

Mass Effect 2 was not a dark second act. Drugs,rape,torture,...the crying-screaming of people.

The screaming of the people that are caged in slave trading facilaty... that I liked. I liked the story. On a mission to kill Obama for causing the destruction of America... mmm... sounds like fun. A crew member, jack... I liked her past. Not a Psychopath. Armor costimization i liked. Biotic powers I liked. Combat i liked. Interaction with people did not like.

Make the enemies use what you use. In ME2 your enemies suddenly have those armor and shielding bars and their health etc. worked entirely different from yours.

That was rather gamey imho compared to ME1 where everyone used the same kind of principles so facing guys with great barrier powers was a nasty business, as was wittling down health and not lose health yourself.

While the dynamic in ME2 combat is great, it is annoying that you seem to be the only one with magical shield and health powers. Keep it consistent so everybody uses the same basics in combat.

Mind a resolution where I can off the Illusive Man. I was kinda ticked off that I couldn't play more anti-Cerberus given what kind of a mess you had to clean up in ME1. Sure, there was some such stuff but I thought quite some times "Wait till I get my crew back together, then I will get back to you".

Imo Cerberus was a weak point of the ME2 plot as this organization worked better when you knew nothing about them. Now in ME2 you just have this generic - and illogical - superhero secret organization which is recognized on sight, wear recognizable emblems on personnel and ships, has seemingly unrestricted resources to pour in dozens of operations at once (at least if one takes the Illusive's Man after action reports) despite being supposedly covert and organized in small cells and recruit anyone they can find on the street (so infiltration of them shouldn't be nearly as problematic as the in game narrative suggests).

As criminal and secret organizations go their presentation was pretty bland and non criminal/secretive. Working for Aria would have been more in tone as being sidelined and now having to take the underground route to achieve the objective.

I want to be a Spectre again.

----
EDIT

More important than anything else: Make it so I can start the character creation _at the beginning_ of a new game, not after 5-15 minutes of unskippable cutscenes. Messing around with settings can be a choir or does ME2 at least have a char creation cheat?

Give Shepard some competition. Some elite operative who is taking the credits from Shepard and becoming the new favourite savior of the galaxy. I'm not thinking about some lame popularitiy contest, but a really annoying person who is just asking for trouble. A guy/girl you want to shoot in the face because (s)he royally pisses you off, being right behind you all the time and stepping up before the end and reaping the rewards.

Just don't let that person be Conrad Verner who got special training and cybernetics from Cerberus just to annoy you :)

How about showing us how Shepard puts his/her armor on? And make the Normandy SR-2.5 more like a Frigate than a Dreadnought. And the Alliance should start accepting other races. It happened with Blacks in WWII, and it should happen with Quarians, Turians, etc.

Alliance is a human organistion. It's nothing like CS or even Council. It's a human organisaion that represents us in the Citadel. But I understund what you'r talking about. Other races on humans ships? I think it would be cool but still Turians, Asari, Salarians make the same stuff. There are their-race-only ships. To do what you want must be designeg a brand new military organisation, maybe CF (Citadel Fleet), which will combine all technologies of Council races and have them all as crew members. But still, it's just politics.
