I want a rep. seriously. When after the game finishes, and you have saved the galaxy, killed the reapers etc... when you do an assignment after the game, and you fight like blue suns, or whatever, you hear them scream from across the room: "Omg, is that shepard?! screw this, I'm out! and then their leader shoots 'm int he back.
I know some people commented on this, but I think ME2 has the perfect amount of funny. There are a lot of in-jokes, or deeper jokes that not a lot of people get, and they are a lot more subtle. I like that. Me2 had me laughing out loud sometimes, ME did not. Renegade shep may be more wise-ass though. but not necessairily
And this is gonna lose me points but... Use the combat system from me2. why? i'll tell you. Me1's combat system was basically a point and click game. The cover system was pointless, and even suckily executed. Once you got a decent armor, you could even stand in the middle of a crossfire, and shoot all enemies one by one. The system was no more intricate then tetris. The difference in armor was nice, but every gun felt exactly the same, other then stats.
Me2's combat system got me thinking a lot more: which enemy do I shoot with what etc etc. Isn't that what RPG fans want? 'It's super effective!' and all that? Now I'm not for co-op and multi, hell no. But, I would definately not be against more fluid movement in battle. The cover system was great, but sprinting from cover to cover wasn't the most easy thing to do. It would be good if they used the GoW system. I also liekd the fact that different weapons did different things. Much better. I would like to personalise my weapon more though, rpg style. I mean, if you put an avenger has like 5 slots or so, and in those slots you can choose armor penetration, more damage, more accuracy, shield piercing or whatever.
and then in short:
make for possible love septangle. I already did ashley miranda kelly and jack. I wants moar! lol
seperate power cooldowns
higher level possible, (more powers/weapon specialization possible? if it can be balanced)
make me able to kill off liara t'soni. I already got jacob shot int he head, which is less then he deserves, but... yeah.
different ammo system (extrapolated below)
zaeed better be in there...
no mako, but i wouldn't mind planet exploring with a better handling firewalker.
hacking and dectryption games were perfect. Maybe a similar game for planet mining? short and rewarding.
visitable earth. I've been trying to land on earth since the first time i punched up the galaxy map. no dice.
no friggin' elevators
normandy like in me2. I always felt like i was in resident evil's mansion when runnign around in normandy 1
80+ hours of game. seriously. massive 10 disc adventure for the win.
DLC is content that is ready AFTER the game releases. Not content held back to turn profit later.
Collapsible helmet from lost in space. Hell, even if you make this dlc for 20 bucks i'd still get it.
But then again, that's just my 2 cents, I'm sure people will be against it.
ammo system: I'v seen some ideas on here, and I'd like to come up with a kind of synthesized idea.
Ok, ammo is general. Weapons build up heat in their heat sink. All weapons increasy the heat of a heat sink inserted in the gun. However, the heat sinks all come from one pool. Maybe make the pool amount increasable à la rpg. When you start firing on the left of the screen you seen a meter that rises to the top to indicate the remaining heat storing capacity the heat sink has. Obviously, snipers and shotguns add heat faster per shot then assault rifles or pistols. also, it would be a cool effect to make the heat sink inserted in your weapon glow harder red if the heat sink is fuller. Now, to reload, you eject the clip, and insert a new clip from the pool, the heat gets reduced to zero. Of course, if you switch guns, the other heat sinks still remain at the capacity they were. Note that when your heat sink is full, you can still fire, but the weapon will over heat very fast, and it will take at least 10 seconds to cool down. So even if you're out of clips, you can still fire.
An addendum may be that while you are not using a gun (and it is on your back), the heat clips slowly cools off (very slowly), allowing you more shots with one clip if you switch regularly. Another idea may be that instead of reloading, you can also vent your clip, cooling it down more rapidly (but still not too fast) then when it's on your back, and you won't lose the clip.
