And for fortification, how about this: the soldier gets a layer of armor over his health bar in addition to their shields, reminiscent of their ability to wear heavy armor in ME1, and activating fortification "repairs" their armor.

Instead of the cryo grenade idea, how about just a straight up damage grenade like the one in ME1? And as for the crush idea, why not replace it with choke? It makes so much sense except that it would feel like it's being ripped off from Star Wars.

Not as much a wish as a small plea.

Please dont "kill off" the entire crew again! While it worked as a plot device for ME2, having it happen again would just seem arbitrary and cheesy. Also, the entirely of ME2 is almost exclusively about getting those characters, so would seem well, like a waste of game to then just toss them all out again.

While i understand the need for a "clean slate" that new players to work with:

It has to do squad size and compination of survivers from old ME's.

In players eyes from ME1, 4-5 squad members survey, but in developers eyes all 6 survey. Because they have to count all possible combinations. So, basicly it means if character can be killed in game, it can't really play anymore in major part in next ME, because it would require alot of more character content to do, what players don't necassary even see, based they before game choises.  As more work and content, I mean squad member voices and missions related to them, as "old" player doesn't necassary even have those squad members, because they where killed before, but some of us could have.

So, it's easyer just kill or make old squad members unavaillable for players one way or other. In ME2 all squad members can get killed. So, what ever is squad size and minimum survey possibility for players in ME2, it will define how many new squad members is in ME3.

What I'm fraid is that they kill all old characters in ME3, because ME2 possibilities, it means alot of less game design work for developers. How ever, players aren't really happy about losing they "loved" characters. If player can keep even one old squad member from ME2 then all old squad members has to be in ME3 one way or other. Last time in ME1 it was easy, because 3 squad members could not die at all. But with ME2 they all can die.

Yeah, I hope developers don't go to easy choise and make all old squad members one way or other not unavailable.

I don't like it.

Mostly because you change alot of nature of Infiltrator, what was more like soldier what you don't see at all. Because invisible or so long distance. Then You added defensive powers as unique to classes, but left Geth Shield out? If You want defensive powers to be unique, then all of them have to be unique. Don't leave loop holes. All unique or all free as choise. Think more what classes really are. Also engineering become more direct soldier than tech toy person.

Well, I've edited it, giving the infiltrator the Geth Shield Boost, since I think that is a good idea.

I also switched Cryo Blast and Incinerate between the infiltrator and the sentinel for several reasons. First because stasis and cryo was redundant for the sentinel. And it focused on their classes ability to take down any and all protections. Meanwhile, I think this strengthens the infiltrator's sniping, as now their enemies might be frozen!

To offset the cryo ammo the infiltrators had, I traded that with incendiary ammo, which works really well with the vanguard and their shotgun.

I want a better storyline. Less situations were you cringe your toes because there's none of the replies Shep can give that make any sense.

I want an inventory. I do -not- want a quadzillion weapons like in ME1, but I want to be able to decide wether Shep is wearing armour or civilian clothing. What's the point of having the ability to dance, if you have to do it in combat armour, with five guns dangling on your back?

Interaction. In my opinion, although the missions -were- great, ME2 became to much shooter. I want more stuff to happen between missions, and more non-combat missions. I liked the Normandy crash-site DLC, and the party at the Kasumi DLC could have been great, if there'd been some interaction with all the guests available.

Difference between Femshep and Maleshep. Different reactions from ppl, different stories, maybe even different sidequests, besides the romances. Oh, and btw, some MEN for Femshep to flirt with! If Garrus was human, he'd be a great option, but a green-skinned amphibian emo-kid, and an utterly boring, humour-less human, is simply to poor compared to Jack, Miranda and Tali.

The atmosphere in ME2 was great, I loved the setting, the voice-acting and the way everything looked. The actual missions were fantastic as well. Now you just need all the rest! ;)

I think that cryo ammo works a lot better as a bonus power. It really doesn't affect any balancing (making one class way more powerful than another) if they take it as a bonus ability, and I never found it to be worthwhile to invest skill points in it as a normal power in ME2, especially because it had prerequisites.

Lumikki has a good point about maintaining the nature of classes, which is why I might change my mind about Combat Drone becoming available to Infiltrators. Also, I made the list so that it could be as easily transferable from your character in ME2 to ME3 as possible.

TMZuk: I agree that we need more of an inventory. I can't complain about ME2, as it is the most cinematic and immersive game of all time, but giving us a deep inventory system in which you have to make trade-offs to optimize your Shepard's efficiency in the way you see fit.

And if they can top ME2's score, that would be their greatest achievement, because the music in ME2 was so perfect. Better than 99% of movie scores.

Weapons and combat systems are all ok. Would like the classes to evolve more and get 2-3 more special attacks/skills, depending of what ya choose when you set out your skill points. Now you can choose from 2 different options when you complete a skill. (Defensive or Offensive...well in most cases). With other words...A more developed Tech-tree. I think we all want our Commander and his crew unique from player to player?

As for the world we are playing in, I think its all acceptable with the lack of exploration, when they boosted on unique enviroments. Every place you visit is very unique in its own way. When you shut your comp down, you still remember the place as a "place" and not just as a "another level".

But I have a solution that may appeal to both sides of the critics. If you add more missions (worlds and places) but make them more far unreachable. You have to upgrade Normandy in different ways to reach em.( heat shields? Fuel pods? stealth? Gravity stabilisers? etc etc). Some missions would have to be stalled by your lack of progress or level. Also the possibility to do some sidejobs for different clans or alien races, or perhaps make em go to war at eachother because of you? all to earn cash and equipment. ( paragon/renegade bonus affected).

And yes...as Evil as my Sheppard is with 100% Renegade points, I would like it to take more effect in the world and as in actions =)

I must say that the Audio department have made a awesome job. The musicscores and ambients are far more better than any game so far. Ambients are very important to create a mood or feeling.

A lot of cred to those guys.

ME2 is a game worth your hard earned money. a little short though, but replayable a few times more than any other game.

Thanx =)

and i was jk obviously, hence the 'lol'. I'm a straight up kelly fan. No more whoring around in me3 for me.

In any case, I don't know how other people feel about this, but when you use team powers, their power explode s immediately on the location of the enemy, while you have to aim and arch your power. I wouldn't mind having tech and some biotic powers explode immediately on the enemy too if i fire them. and then again, on the other hand, powers such as inferno grenade or concussion shot should always be arched/aimed, but also aimable at a location in stead of only an enemy.

What I want to see-

Same Normandy in ME2 but with some more additions of the Mako and the firewalker usage. Have Anderson (If chose to quit Cerberus) play a part in the new Normandy if someone chose the human Councilor.

What bothered me from ME2 was where leaving Joker with the ship while testing the IFF so leaving a couple party members behind to defend the ship from the collectors.

More guns, armor, and get the helm control back on. Higher levels like ME1 than ME2.

Geth and the Quarains fight against the Collectors. And if letting the council to survive in ME1 have the chance to kill them in ME3. Due to calling Sheppard crazy...

Able to shop on the Normandy like in ME1. keep the original New game+ for ME3 from ME2.

Have access to level 5 on the ship. Able to run around in the Cathedral like ME1. Visit Earth and Mars.

tali's face shown. in ME3 have the lover in ME2 possibly killed. (those to chose tali time to go for Jack, Miranda, Kelly)

Have the ship doc back. Sheppard returning to work for Alliance (If said no to Cerberus in ME2 at the end) Have Thane's son become a party member. Instead of being called Commander be called Admiral on the Normandy of the Alliance.

Are you stupid or you're really serious? You think Tali will die by her mask being removed... Another dumb statement... Look, a Quarian can live without a suit on, but the environment has to be controlled. If a Quaranteen is done and the room is sterylized, she can be in a room and mate with someone. She will not die outside her suit unless in a unsafe environment with tons of germs... She made love to shepard and ended up with a bad cold for a weeks or so, but that was it. Quarians can date a human and not use protection and live, so unmasking isnt going to kill her. Your comment is retarded. I want her un-suited so we can finally see whats doing under there. It's not even a sexual thing. It's a " it's about time we know what one looks like" type of thing. In the book, a Quarian, though dying at the time due to torture was without a suit, so they should have a idea of what one looks like. I played the entire game of 1 and 2 wanting to romance this girl and I dont even get to see her face?! That was a Massive F-U to all Tali fans once again in the contiuation from ME1-2 and if Bioware does this again in 3, I swear I will never buy another Bioware product... I almost broke my disk and 360 after that poor excuse of a cut scene... It's the only reason I still keep a 360 around and I continue to let Bioware crap on my chest with this non sense attitude towards Tali fans.  I was happy they brought her back and gave her some story, but in the end they dropped a galactic size ball.

Zurcior wrote...

I too want more weather. I cant believe that one area had rain and that was it. I would love to see some real enviroments in ME3. There was no tornados, no flooded areas, no ice worlds, no volcanic places, no low gravity areas, sence of time at all.... No day and night changes mid mission or story wise, No creatures anywhere. There was a monkey somewhere, but no real creatures that you have to fight or creatures in certain areas that you explore...

FaithandanAk wrote...

weapon options like in ME1 I would like to see the Firewalker become the
permanent surface vehicle. Also please, please PLEASE no more Asari
cougars if I can't have a relationship with them. Oh Samara why won't
you love me

Why wasnt she romancible again?! That drove me crazy...

And lastly, Joke should be a squadmate in 3. Fully heal his legs and give him some mission he can go on with you. Seth's lines are always greatness... And give Edi a body too. Joker need some love, Give her something she can DL herself to and roam the ship Melfina style like in Outlaw Star. Maybe a small mission with the 2 of them.

Bring back interactions while exploring, fix biotics to being useful and not having to wait thru 2 sheild types, more armor styles, better romance scenes (on level of ME1 at least), a reason for all the materials you collect or cut them, NO SCANNING. You cant make a fun way to scan planets to save your life!!!! Just give us material off the people you kill and exp/ money and we'll be good, abilty to talk to ALL crew and interact with them, more to do in your room, abilty to hang out in all areas in ship and have random activaties in each spot, ability to wear what you want armor or casual anytime, whole squad able to dance and a new shepard dance, Better casual clothes+more styles to chose from, How about real stores and ability to earn/ spend more money? A clothes shop for some crazy outfits to explore/kill with would be great, A reason for the shipe upgrades... We had no Ship battles. Im not counting the cut scene battle. Lastly since I know I posted everything else eariler, Better renegade/ Paragon choices. Some of them really made NO SENSE!!! I kill a guy Paragon! I apologize...Renegade!!! What?! I mean that's how some of the choices felt.  And killing someone whos droning on for 5 mins isnt renegade. It's putting them out of their misery and doing a pitty kill.

Dont unmask Tali, nothing will match the hype they've created. Unless they turn out to be humanoid or something

Definately let us have a little earth, just one city to browse and see their interpretation of it

And the telekenetic ability sounds like a good idea

Maybe under different context Tali's mystery could remain. But, Shepard now knows, and the player is Shepard, so it would be inexcusable under these circumstances not to reveal Tali. After all, our imagination has gone far enough, it would be redundant hereon, and no-one will be disappointed by whatever we'll see of Tali. (unless they really mess it up of course). As for what to expect, Tali is definitely humanoid, the question is how much. Besides hands and legs (and metabolism...), everything else is completely human. (even the face if you pay some careful attention to a few things that go past the mask)
Definitely reveal Tali's looks in ME3. (and continue the LI story too of course, for those players that pursued it in ME2)

Oh, im assuming the big climax will somehow involve earth, after all the reapers must start to get VERY annoyed at those "humans" for messing up the end of the galaxy, and that they were trying to make a human reaper indicates that they have taken a notice to "us", so they will probably try to get rid of us all before we make more problems.

Also, in terms of the problem with transferring characters because of their "part in the story".

Well, in both ME1 and ME2 it was very few characters that had a truly central part to the plob. In ME1 it was your love interest and ashley/other guy (sorry, i found him to be uninteresting, so dont remember his name).

in ME2 its a little more grey as the characters ARE the entire game, but still if we look away from their personal stories (and your love interest, go Tali!) they did not impact the actual events all that much after joining you.

Therefore, besides missing out on some questlines, it would not make all that huge a difference, and you could easily program scenes to be based off the type instead of off the character itself (though the latter would be preferable by far!). So for example you have a moment where you need a biotic, that biotic could be subject Zero, or Samara, depending on who lived  to experience it. For example, we know that the assasin is going to die (he tells us he has a year left to live in ME2 due to his illness).

Also, they already transferred over almost every quest choise from ME1 to ME2, would it be all that more complex to do it on a bigger scale? Not to mention its the ending to one of the best RPGs ever made, and certainly the most personal RPG ever made. If anyone at bioware isnt thinking that they should pull all the stops, that person is a fool.

I agree here I mean it is a trilogy so that means the 3rd part is the most climatic, so my guess is they are going to make this one epic.

I want to see Joker as a romance for a femShep and maybe a female Krogan, even if she's only a NPC not a squadmate. ME 3 is the last of Sheperd's story, but there's always the Krogan Rebellions, Rachni Wars, and the first contact war. Keep it up BioWare, it's nice to see a studio only a hour away from me pumping out awesome.

I loved the RPG system of ME1. I thought that it really felt like you made a unique character. In ME2, It felt like they only kept some simple upgrade system to call it an RPG. And what was with the XP? I didn't feel rewarded for killing anything. In ME1, I wanted to hunt down every last enemy, or tower to get all the experience points that I could get. In ME2, I just got my alotted mission XP after the mission. That was weak.

I did find the controls tedious for the MAKO, but man do I love vehicles. I was so disappointed in ME2 when I had to go around on foot all the time. I loved running over Geth, then blasting them with my cannon. How sweet is that ! I hope they have a solid vehicle ( or several ) in ME3.

Exploration. Exploration. Exploration. Where did it go. Flying around a solar system is....exploration? Yeah, back in 1993, for the SEGA Genesis. It was such a let down to have every mission boxed in, and you just blast your way through a linear mission, with no real variations, only to get a set amount of XP at the end of the mission.... HMMM. Call me a time-wasting fool, but I thought that exploring a vast world in a vehicle or on foot was so much more entertaining than scanning the same planets over and over again. Sorry, not the same planets... they had different colours.

Weapons. I liked the overheat system way better than ammo system. I also like to customize my weapons a bit. Not too much, like in ME1 (overkill with the add-ons I, II, III, IV, V, VI, etc). I definately think that we need some other way to customize, like optional upgrades to each weapon's overheat capability (or ammo clip), damage, etc.
ME1 lacked some serious power weapons. ROCKET LAUNCHER, hello? Why did the Geth have these sick rocket launchers that decimated you in ME1, but you could never get them? The grenades were painful to use. Then, in ME2, the heavy weapons were a huge hassle to use, having to scour the levels for ammo, then use them once or twice, and that's it. The Nuke launcher was capital though. I think there should be a better ammo/ heat rating system. I liked ME1's system better.

Loved the games, but I think I can play ME1 far more times than ME2.

And about the relationships, they go far enough as it is. It is a game, not some lewd "after midnight" special. Let's keep it about the game. Kissing is okay. That's far enough.
