2. ARMOR CUSTOMIZATION- Maintain customization and selection of individual pieces of your armor. But instead of pieces with random attribute increases (like shoulders increasing biotics), they should provide unique functions. One should dictate armor, or health, or mag capacity, or shields (specifics below). The stat formula should be balanced though, by making aspects of the armor incompatible with each other (so you might only get nice shields or nice armor, which would be more easily passed by whom your fighting).
3. SHIELDS- Dynamic quantity of shields. I'd recommend that the magnitude of shields be dictated by armor (like the first game), but should be one of the pieces of interchangeable armor.
4. COVER- If you're going to follow Gears of War, don't stop halfway. There should be some sort of slide/transition into cover to erase that moment of exposure. Glad that entering cover is button based. Add combat roll and blind fire.
5. CROUCH- is much needed! I could crouch in the first game, and used it constantly. Now I feel like a sitting duck and am forced to prostitute myself to the unfinished cover system for safety.
6. HUD- I preferred ME1's HUD for PC. I could order teammates to shoot. Get rid of the dynamic interface too. I hate scrolling over the current weapon to have to expand the menu. The game is paused, so there's no reason not to keep it expanded. And while I like being able to move teammates individually, I would like to see the reintroduction of moving them as a group, just to displace them from harm quickly ("up" moves as group, "left" moves teammate 1, "right" moves teammate 2, and "down" rallies them).
7. No vehicle, no elevators.
8. Normandy dogfights.
9. Expanded Citadel and Earth. More urban hubs. The social presence and missions make or break the game.
10. DECISIONS- I love the idea of different employers (Cerberus vs Council) or siding with different species. As it is such a dynamic element, I'm sure Bioware has already scripted it in lol.
11. I like the moral score's new effect on in game decisions and appearance.
12. POWERS- I prefer the current system (less recharge time, but one at a time). I think it would be better though if it was hybridized so that you could use abilities of different classes at the same time (so biotics wouldn't hinder the use of tech or weapon moves).
13. PARTNERS- It would be cool if character powers made them more unique. Say if a tech specialist could hack a computer to change the environment (or a biotic could relocate the position of crates, changing a room's layout), members of different species could persuade certain factions. Or if in direct combat, someone might be able to but up a barrier (like the collectors or geth). An element that would make gamers give consideration about their party, other than "your my favorite".
14. GUI- looks very nice. Make ME3's green or customizable (like your armor color).
15. I really appreciate getting the choice to learn a new weapon class.
16. Expand the skill tree. A happy medium. I liked changing the power at level 4.
Thank you Santa.

Maybe somewhere in the future( hopefully in another life) they can a mass effect mmo, but I love solo games, and bioware makes good ones. Well you never know they may do one for those who like them.

If this is going to be the ending of Shepard's story, I'd like him to go out with a bang. What I want to see is using the mass relays as the final weapon to strike down a giant Reaper Titan, which comes together through several conjoining Reapers. Just my hopes and dreams right there
Either bring back the ability to buy different armors, or give us more to equip. I liked ME2's armor system but we're only so limited to a few parts. Give us more parts or more sets please
Give Zaeed a bigger role and, if a certain quest of his ends up the Paragon way, let them finish it! I wanted to kill him but not endanger the others.
Bring us beyond the Perseus Veil and see what the Geth really do. And continue upon the Quarian story. I like them
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That's about it for my wish list. Hope something in this forum comes true.

Controls: sprint, crouch, squat, jump - these should be separate controls.
When I'm being flanked, need to sprint to new cover, I find myself suddenly ducking down on the wrong side of the cover because sprint & duck are the same key.
Weapon mods!!
Armor mods, and no bloody helmet when having a conversation.
More hammerhead areas to explore.
More conversations, and larger worlds.
More skills.
Stuff everyone else has asked for.
Other than that - awesome games bioware!!

I should say that I make this suggestion not fully sure that I want it, because I remember how frustrating it was in ME1 to be affected by them. I understand why they were taken out of ME2. To bring them back, they would have to be implemented in a way that still made them "fun". You could make the effect of throw on Shepard similar to the effect of Harbinger's slow moving missile thingy; it would knock him out of cover and make him stagger back--not knock him down. If under the effects of lift or singularity, let the player give squad orders, use powers and shoot weapons, but not decide where to run. Cryo blast could do minor damage, slow Shepard down, but freezing him/her only if the health bar is low enough. These powers would only be used by enemies on the hardest difficulty levels. (on a side note, now that I mention the effects of pull, how about letting the enemies who've been pulled be capable of shooting back, but with reduced accuracy?)
Edit: this might be an interesting thing to explore in DLC.

Also, Don't give the Normandy the ability to land. You'd just be contradicting yourself. In ME2 Sheperd asks EDI why the normandy SR2 needed a drop ship and EDI said that the SR2 had much more mass than the SR1 so it couldn't land.

Please DO NOT bring in dogfighting with the normandy!! The mass effect I know is about focusing on sheperd not flying around in the normandy shooting down other space ships. Keep the normandy as is. And focus on sheperd.

The armour customization wasn't nearly as good as I thought it was going to be; picking the colours was great, but all the armour looked heavy, with no medium or light options, which I really liked. And on femshep the heavy stuff just doesn't look right to me, I'm still an engineer and I miss my guardian armour - not very good armour, but it looked awesome
Colours to include for customization: navy blue! And traffic cone orange, but you can almost get the right colour with bright red camo over an orange base.
Overall the squad characters in ME2 were awesome, but I think it would be interesting for ME3 if we had to choose which ones to bring on the ultimate mission, including the ME1 characters.
I missed the Mako
SQUAD INTERACTIONS - somehow I miss the elevators.
CUSTOMIZABLE AMPS/OMNI-TOOLS: seriously, my import had a savant X for every character T_T - obtained manually cos I've got it on xbox!
EDIT: oh and that Shepard VI!!

Additionally, it would be amazing to see the crew of a paragon/renegade Shepard show paragon/renegade tendencies in their dialogue as your exploring the ship. They could be different in the way speeches Shepard can give are different; it's either the "kick their ass" version or the "save the galaxy" version. I think that would add a whole new level of richness to the choices a player makes.

Mass Effect 3 should start with Shepard and the Normandy investigating an anomaly in "deep" space away from the known systems that are connected by the established highway of mass effect jumpgates after sensor readings indicate "enemy" interest in the anomaly. Since it's going to be a long trip, he's sent some of his old crewmates on missions of their own to help get things ready for the coming battle.
After the reaching the anomaly, an "awesome" space battle ensues. The Normandy is victorious and limps towards the anomaly to investigate, only to be sucked in and transported to an unkown part of space/galaxy and, due to damage in the previous battle, crash lands on a nearby planet.
Shepard wakes up alone, injured, and covered in rubble. He digs himself out and is almost immediately attacked by the local "inhabitants" of the planet (In my head they resemble the aliens from Aliens or Pitch Black).
Unarmed and in nothing but his normal dress uniform, Shepard is chased through the Normady wreckage. With sparks flying and explosions lighting up the night, Shepard runs.
He reaches a clearing and immediately finds himself looking down the barrel of a gun.
Luckily it's some survivors from the crash. Shepard meets some "bit players" from the Normandy.( Most likely names we'll recognize like Engineer Donnely) . A conversation ensues (Status report, what happened, is everyone OK, etc). Now Shephard has some decisions to make. Do they tend to the wounded? Pick them up and carry them? Build a litter? Look around? Who carries who? Is someone on "point?" Do we send a scout out? Do we make a camp for the night?
Depending on his choices, items might be found(radio, rations, ammo, guns, etc.) or different people might die(I liked that part from the end of ME2. It's more involved than just shooting). Other things might happen based on the order you do them or how long it took you to make choices in a time critical part or even who you assigned a certain task to. Forgot to post guards? Everyone dies. Someone with no medic training treats team member, they die. Etc.
Eventually you're pursued by the "locals" and chased until you reach what appears to be an airlock. Shepard and what's left of your team enter and slam the door on your pursuers, severing an alien limb in the process. Turning to look out the window in the airlock, we get a "boo" moment when an alien slams its face into the glass and runs off into the night.
From here we get to the first "part" of the game.
The unknown base.
Only a certain amount of rooms are open to you here and you decide who/what goes where. Where do we set up a store room? Armory? Hospital? Who gets your limited medical resources? Who doesn't? Who dies?
I'm envisioning it to be something like the castle/keep in Neverwinter Nights.
After you get things stable and set up you decide who goes on guard duty, who goes searching though wreckage looking for supplies, who searches the base, who tries to fix certain parts of the base, who searches the planet, where do you want to put defenses, who researched the alien tech, who goes off to mine found resources, who guards caravans to bring back large items found(I suppose this means that vehicles will need to be built/found and upgraded)
While you're waiting for these changes to be put into effect, Shepard goes out on "missions" discovered by the scouts or messaged recieved on the radio. Maybe alien ruins are discovered that will yield items useful to your survival. Maybe a mayday is recieved over the radio and lost crewmen can be rescued giving you more "units" for defense or research. Maybe the base gets attacked while you're there or gone. Maybe not. Who knows. Either way, it's time for Commander Shepard to command instead of just to be a grunt while the rest of his crew stands around and does their own thing.
I'd also like traditional XP, money, loot to be brought back though just tune it down a little bit. We don't need to get quite so many items off of killed guys. I'd also like to be ablee to mix and match armor pieces as they are found and to kit out my soldiers individually.
Eventually an alien ship is discovered on the base, and it's up to you to repair enough of it to get off the planet.
Right before you activate the ship, the base finds itself under full scale alien attack. They break through your defenses and you and what's left of your crew evacuate your base.
---------------------------------------
As far as game mechanics are concerned:
Since you start out with no armor or shields, you should appear injured when you get hit and have to use first aid kits to heal yourself. I'd like a little cut scene or animation to play when you use your medkits. Maybe even a mini-game where you inject painkillers, cauterize a wound, etc. that you can play to make your medkits more effective (otherwise you can just skip the game for a smaller benefit). I'm picturing shepard leaning up against a crate and opening his kit while bullets fly around him and a little scene plays out similar to the scene in Predator where the Predator uses his med kit.
When shields go out and you get hurt in an unarmored limb or your armor is broken, have the limb be incapacitated. Show blood and bone from the wound. Have the injured party drag himself along, cry out in pain, beg for his mommy to come save him, etc. Something similar to Soldier of Fortune. Make the fighting more visceral with better sounds/impact/recoil. If you don't have enough med-pacs to heal a squad mate after a battle or he's hurt enough then he remains incapacitaded until you can medevac him after a mission. If the missions doesn't allow it, he's lost forever.
I'd like an inventory screen similar to the Neverwinter nights type of games where each item worn changes my appearance and each member of my squad has their own inventory. However, I don't want it to get as crazy as the first game.
People migth not like being locked into one class. Instead, let abilities be effected by items. It doesn't make sense for you to be fighting things and then suddenly know how to use Pull.
Each item you get should have a noticeable effect or add a new ability. I didn't really like that you couldn't tell the difference between the effects the armors had. +5% shield didn't really feel any different. Add things like boots that make you jump, Warp enhancing gauntlets that let you use warp, armor with a shield/biotic generator, riot shielf that provides portable cover for you and a squad member but limits you to pistols, etc.
Customizable helmets. Don't higlight things you can interact with or show the health of enemies. It breaks the immersion. Instead, let us install different scanners in our helmets. Things like IR scanners, scanners that tell information about the enemies we see(shields, weak points), radar, etc.
Add melee weapons (or hand-to-hand if you put your gun away). When you attack someone in melee mode, you become "locked" into fighting them and enter a semi-choreographed battle mode like in the KOTOR series. Allow limbs to be cut off. Add different fighting styles/moves based off of the characteristics of the race/opponent you're fighting.
Add secret rooms/items etc. that can only be discovered if you have the right squad-mate with you. An engineer type might be able to detect a hologram hiding a room while a soldier type might be able to detect an ambush and allow you to go down a seperate path to flank enemies while a thief type character might be able to unlock a door.
Add Unique items that might or might not be found or obtainable with every class or combination. It does feel good to kill a "boss" and loot him for awesome special items.
When you enter into a conversation, show an animation where Shepard takes off his helmet.
Don't make everything so black and white. Make it so you have to reason out your actions. Doing the good thing always might make someone die in the long run.

I mentioned a solo mode a few pages back. Well what about just a solo mission? What if the Normandy crew gets captured (again) but this time Shepard and the squad are included. Shepard is detained alone and must first escape and then find and rescue the rest of the team in another part of the base. It would be even cooler if there were different methods to accomplish this task, some suited better for different classes.

Weapon Mods: I'm all for that. Customization of weapons would make for a very unique experience with each play through.
Armor: Make all armor in pieces, or make a certain upgrade required to separate the bonus suits...
And keep up with the story, that's about it

Not just see them in one battle (where there is one human crusier model, one turian and one asari ship). I think it would be interesting if that governments of the galaxy starting realizing the threat and mobilized their forces to help. For once don't make shepard go in commando style killing everyone saving the day, instead make it so he goes in only to get pinned down and to be saved by the alliance marine corps and a diverse alliance fleet. Shepard can't do everything, give him some help so its more believable that hes saving the galaxy just not by himself. It would be cool if you had allies like marines that would help you in battles just not follow you.
Also exploring earth would also give a great chance to explore the structure of the alliance, and its military. I want to see the carriers, dreadnaughts, frigates, cruisers over earth and engaging in combat. Give us the small details like fighters covering the normandy as they go into battle with a whole fleet behind them (also please dont give us oh the huge guns of the crusiers dont bring down soveriegn its the small frigate that deals the final blow).

Let other people develop relationships. It'd be nice if I saw, for instance, Garrus and Tali holding hands.
Let them have relationship issues that we can talk about to solve; things like that.
It's not all about Shepard. These should be living and breathing people too.

Then purchasing MassEffect2 only two days ago, I started to see a lot of differences. Although it is still a great game, there were many changes. Some of which I did not like. Forget it, I'm not even going to list all the changes that I saw, some of which I felt real annoyed about.
However, I did like that the Missions were longer, which made the best of it, but the exploring was somewhat limited. Not as many unexplored planets that you actually got to explore as you did in the first one.
This is what I would like to see in ME3.
- More massive battles, maybe some battles that require you to use more of your team (instead of picking two to go with you).
- Would like to see the return of the ruthless characters, such as Jack, Grunt, and the best of all, Zaeed (favorite in my opinion.).
- Would like to see the return of Wrex, most definitely.
- A more selective use and variety of weapons, especially from the Collectors and Geth.
- More planets for exploration, More long missions. I don't care if its four CD's. The more, the better, right? I want to be left with a long lasting battle, kickin it all off for MassEffect3.
- Vehicles for heavy missions to combat YMIR Mechs in the masses.
There is more, but I feel I should stop there.
What I DONT want to see in MassEffect3. And I'm going to make this a big issue, because it IS. I'll make it long, and simple. Call it a flame, it doesn't matter. Continue on down at risk.
- The #1 issue. No. Multiplayer. None. Nada. NOTHING. MassEffect3 doesn't need multiplayer. It's not a necessity, no really, its NOT a necessity. In other words, its not needed. The game has a great storyline, great single player game-play, mass effect 1 and 2 still have me popping in the disc. The story, SELLS Hell, even the name MassEffect could literally sell itself. Thats how good it is.
For the love of god, do NOT, I repeat. DO NOT make the same mistake EA is doing (If it is them), with Dead Space 2 and Assassins Creed: Brotherhood. They already screwed themselves hard for ruining two great singleplayer games and for that, I don't plan on continuing either of those games because of it. In other words, I'm not going to pick up the games because I have to get Multiplayer Achievements while listening to a bunch of retards that "boast about their button pressing skills" on who's the next ****** on the leaderboards. It's a shame grown men actually do that crap too, just makes me think if they might be related to the box of rocks in my back yard if you know what I mean.
If ME3 keeps away from multiplayer, it will be an EPIC game. Hands down. No second thoughts about it.

Charoum: Once a starship refueling station for the quarians, Charoum has expanded under geth rule. Thousands of orbital platforms surround the planet and its many moons, refining helium into helium-3. A vast geth fleet comes and goes between Charoum and Haestrom, preventing all but the most stealthy of spy drones from discovering any information about it. Current estimates place the geth fleet numbers between 5,000 and 10,000 ships, with unknown levels of armament.
TRAVEL ADVISORY: Most intelligence estimates state that approaching Charoum is tantamount to suicide. All civilian traffic is prohibited.
So only the steahltiest probes can fly in the system, but Normandy isnt a probe? Agreed she has stealth, but in Geth controled space and in an orbit of an heavily Geth occupied Planet, and i doesnt encounter one Geth ship? Highly unlikely, why not Take a level like in Kotor to shoot some geth ships? Or a boarding Mission to disable the ship or something?
