As far as things like gathering resources, I like ME2's probing a lot better than exploring the baren planets of ME1. However, it does get old after a while. Perhaps there's a way to mix the two, probing and exploring. Or maybe we can explore planets with varity. Some can be baren, some with lots of plants and native life other than tiny critters. It'd be cool to visit a plant like the one Jack was raise on with killer plants and other enemies to fight. Other planets don't have to have enemies at all. Also, it'd be nice if we didn't have to travel too far get from resource to resource.
I like the upgrade system in ME2. Less hassle compared to the first game. Never liked upgrading each weapon. Good job. Only the list of purchased upgrades is unnecessary, but I just ignore it.

2. Let us see more of Earth and humanity asa whole.
3. Terran fleet. Ship and fleet combat in general. Let's see some of htat.
4. Keep the ship combat sensible. That a firgate like Normady has the firepower to take out a high-tech dreadnought in 2 shots is redicolous. Upgrades or no, ship classes and sizes exist for a reason.
5. Inventory. A small and simple one. Think Deus Ex or System Shock.
6. If there are planetary mission, make them varried. Let some be on foot, other on Mako. Varry the locale and mission goals and layouts.

Not just see them in one battle (where there is one human crusier model, one turian and one asari ship). I think it would be interesting if that governments of the galaxy starting realizing the threat and mobilized their forces to help. For once don't make shepard go in commando style killing everyone saving the day, instead make it so he goes in only to get pinned down and to be saved by the alliance marine corps and a diverse alliance fleet. Shepard can't do everything, give him some help so its more believable that hes saving the galaxy just not by himself. It would be cool if you had allies like marines that would help you in battles just not follow you.
AND
I'd like, in the downtime, for the people on my "team" to not just be sitting in the same spot doing nothing. Make them move around. Have them sometimes playing cards, sometimes eating, sometimes working out. Make it feel like less of a static environment.
Let other people develop relationships. It'd be nice if I saw, for instance, Garrus and Tali holding hands.
Let them have relationship issues that we can talk about to solve; things like that.
It's not all about Shepard. These should be living and breathing people too.
So much. Both points are EXCELLENT.

You have one (1) bar where you put skills, and that alone decides if you can charm or intimidate someone, and choosing one of those, would give points to the Paragon or Renegade bar, which only show your "alignment". The Alignment shouldn't by itself do anything else then, perhaps, change the ending, and perhaps some story-important lines. Sure, some characters you meet would require more points to Intimidate than to Charm, for example an idiot do-gooder would require more points to Charm than to Intimidate, and even if you had enough to Intimidate, it could end up re-in-forcing his/her beliefs

the possibilite of failing in the end
more life on the normandy rather then people just sitting around silently or saying the occasional comment
all LI's and Friendships to carry over properly with no characters being ignored due to popularity etc as this will only dissapoint people
a better level up system that has more choice for specialisation
ability too customisse guns like in ME 1
bigger hub locations with more quests
and planet exploring back in it
edit: oh yeah and to meet shepards mum

As of now we have never seen real interaction between other team member. It would be nice to see people falling in love with someone else than Shepard for once. Exemple: Kasumi from ME2 dlc, she clearly say she likes Jacob, but no one can do a thing about it. It would be great in ME3 to see people connect and create relationship with or without Shepard's help.

If all I get is a montage at the end showing wether or not these things happen (fallout 3, marvel ultimate alliance) I just don't think it would pay off as much.

2) To have some real challenges when choosing between Paragon/Renegade options. I know a lot of people choose to play either goodies or baddies but it would be nice to really challenge the game player by for example forcing the player to choose in-game to either keep a secret and safeguard your romantic relationship or be truthful and risk losing your love. I wonder how many paragon players would be tempted to be bad

Me3 should be longer than the first two. Maybe 80 hrs.
I hope Bioware doesn't take this thread seriously. These posts are retarded. People complained about the original Mass Effect for a million reasons, and Bioware solved every issue people had with the original. Now people want everything reversed. You speak of the game as if you are repulsed by it. If Bioware listened to a fraction of what is written on this thread, ME3 would turn into a horrible game.

Yeah. I haven't post most of my ideas, cause most of them are idiotic and probably wouldn't work well. I would leave it to the professionals.

#1 To participate in the conflict over the quarian homeworld. As a major participant.
#2 To see what's left of the Drell homeworld.
#3 The Hanar homeworld might be a cool compliment to seeing the Drell homeworld.
#4 Retractable helmets.
#5 Moar armor (for everyone), same customization
#6 Blasto
