Yesterday in a store I got kind of angry as price is already at half (normal PC-version cost 44€ in february and yesterday it was at less than 20). This proves that computergame prices are usually really high. I don't believe the production of a computer game costs more than the production of a blockbuster and we all know movies on DVD are still really expensive.

ME3 should feature:
Earth. Shepard can be born on Earth, surely he should be able to reminince (spelling?) with old friends. Maybe a reformed gang member could even be involved in a mission.
A Citadel similar to ME1's.
A casual change of clothes for Shepard. When on shore leave, do marines walk around in camo?
Similarly to how the Normandy crew could all survive or all perish in ME2, a similar end on a much larger scale could finish ME3. The Reapers win and continue their cycle of death, be completely defeated before the can inflict serious damage to the galaxy, or the epic battle could decimate trillions of people but be ultimately defeated. Maybe the only weapon capable of destroying the Reaper fleet is some type of explosive with a huge blast radius, and depending on the choices made throughout the game, it could reach them when they're reeeaally faar away, when close enough that the blast will do harm to the galaxy, or fail completely.
Somewhere in this thread, someone suggested that the rapidly decaying star in the Haestrum system might have something to do with the ultimate defeat of the reapers, which seems to make a lot of sense, at least because I can't think of anything else that would be able to do it.
But in general, yeah, a "defeat scenario" would be a cool possible ending. I remember one of the Wing Commander games had one possible ending like that, with enemy ships floating over the Capitol Dome.
I'd like to see some of those tiny pieces of information that came from the Galaxy Map come back to be important in the final installment of the game--like the story about Junthor and the "beings of light" or whatever, or the "planet brain" that's out there somewhere. Or, at least, to be able to visit one of the sites of these other civilizations that seem to have died out, well before the Protheans.

Seriously. Mass Effect 2 got rid of all the equipment features and the leveling up because it isn't Final Fantasy. You can go play Elder Scrolls if you want gauntlets with "+2 Charisma". I much prefer actual gameplay, action, and conversations.

come on, you cannot be serious. Many people bought ME2 because they liked ME1 and have been disappointed. If you do not want RPG, switch on autolevelling. It is one of my complaints that the genre was changed and now actiongamers appear talking like RPG-gamers were stupid, because THEY like it better now.RenownedRyan wrote...
Finally. A thread where everyone can come together and complain for no specific purpose and to no avail.

The loading screen's actually worse, I think. The elevator rides weren't that bad, and sometimes you got interesting things out of them, like a news report or a conversation. With the loading screens, you're just staring at a... well, screen for a while, and it honestly felt like it took a lot longer. Especially if you needed to reload because you screwed something up.- I can't believe people would rather watch a loading screen than listen to a news report or a squad conversation in a slow elevator. That was a great substitute for a loading screen. Some people are ridiculous. The wait times are still the same. I could be the only person alive that thinks this.
Not to mention after your umpteenth playthrough you still get the text:

If anyone has played Resident Evil 4, what I have in mind is something like the "Mercenaries" game: a mini-game which is unlocked by completing the campaign, and which is centered around achieving high scores by killing continuously generated enemies. The Mercenaries game is very addicting in RE4, and it adds a lot of replay value.

One thing is that the emotion in the game is good but the expression of a living being human or alien should be different and unique. they said they were going for a darker setting in ME2 but I hope in mass effect 3 they look at the more engaging conversation make it more interesting. don't get me wrong I love the paragon and renegade interruptions. But expression is key for a strong and compelling story
This is a good (and fair) point to be honest that could benefit from being integrated into the game, as the upcoming 'L.A. Noire' (a game I've been waiting on for some considerable time now) for instance is utilizing facial expression as a way for players to suss out whether or not the characters on the screen are telling the truth/holding back etc.

What was good about Mass Effect 1 was that it was it had a well executed combat system and plot along with a good way of doing dialog.
In Mass Effect 2 they apparently managed to pace up the combat and make it more intense, and the dialoge system had been improved. The plot could have been longer, but at the least it was not tedious(compared to Mass Effect 1).
I would say the best improvement was the flat XP and money rate, since it meant that decisions was made and that you did also get a reward for it that was bigger than useless.

weapons system, and making the bullet abilities powers, they should be items
not powers. The armor customization in ME2 was very small and weak[smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/sad.png[/smilie], in ME1 it
was great. I loved customizing my armor and weapons in ME2, it was not complicated.
I loved the upgrades in ME1 in ME2 the power ups
seemed useless for solders. I loved that the upgrades in ME1, like an upgrade making your shots do
5% more damage and other things.
IF YOU DON’T MAKE ANY OF THE POWERS WEAPON RELATED
THAN YOU CAN USE THE SLOTS FOR MORE POWERS, LIKE MORE BIOTICS, TECK ABILYTS EXT.
I enjoyed playing ME1 much more than ME2.

Or the Tali loyalty quest, once again you were given a very difficult choice that was simply resolved with a Charm and Intimidation choice. Give us difficult realistic choices where we have no get-out-of-jail-free card.

Shelling out money to go from X-76d Revenant Machine Gun to X-76e Revenant Machine Gun just to see a new LETTER added to the X-76 is really, really, weak.
Bioware, we KNOW you have an art guy strictly for armor. We saw the video... he got sick of doing hundreds of helmets that never made it into the game. Why not let him work on weapon upgrade graphics as well?
Adding a lever here, a button there... maybe a better looking scope or paint scheme for each upgrade would go a LONNNNG way. Hell, maybe even make the muzzle flare bigger progressively for upgrades a-b-c-d-e-f.
Anything to make the upgrade actually FEEL LIKE AN UPGRADE would be an improvement.

Garrus' armor was seriously damaged in the fight on Omega, while I would like Bioware to be able to play as any of the races (A call on deaf ears likely, as it would take massive coding and many different voice actors to actually pull it off, at least a month of coding in my guess.) I would at least like to be able to damage my armor, maybe a few torn tourniquets here and there while I wait for the Medi-gel to fully kick in, or just flat out try to stop the bleeding.
I HATED the Mako missions, while they did give me freedom to explore the worlds (even THAT was limited) I hated going to every individual planet to find some stupid side quest that had almost no real purpose, along with Geth Ambushes, among other things. KEEP THE MAKO OUT OF ME3! The firewalker however, is a VERY SUITED REPLACEMENT, if you must have vehicle situations, use that instead.
Farming for renegade points is a pain, especially if I don't want to choose the upgraded class that gives me 100% Paragon/Renegade. I liked the old version where we had to put points into it.
Thermal clips should be optional, I HATE THEM SO MUCH! MAKE THEM GO AWAY!
I want to MARRY Tali, she's so nice, make it so we can marry our love interest (if we have one) in ME3
I HATE replaying the same game that I already did, including making all the same choices I did the last time, for more experience, make it so that we can get to the Maximum level the first time through.
While I don't want annoying space flight simulation combat, It would be nice if my engineer/infiltrator could help fly the ship.
Maxa, if you feel the combat is boring, raise the difficulty.
Dave, If you want real difficult choices, just don't choose the charm or renegade options, HOW ABOUT THAT?

- I think there should be "suicide missions" (extra hard, even at easy mode) that we can choose going into, while we are playing. If we don't choose to take the mission, we have nothing to lose but if we take it there can be great gifts for completing it. (Like medals we can wear when we're in our ship or when we go into a court, maybe strong weapons, maybe, if the mission is about one of our crew, gaining great loyalty and friendship options etc.) If you can add that, I recommend missions should be about our crew members.
- Sometimes we players think emotionally and choose squad members by our emotions about them.
- If the situation is bad when fighting, and if our crew members very loyal, they can go crazy and try to sacrifice themselves for the rest of the team. Sometimes he/she saves the day, sometimes mission can go worse. (Maybe it can be effected by which difficulty you play.)
- Loyalty should effect our crew member's relations too. Bad or good. And should effect how good they fight.
- Some missions should only be finished by two or more teams. Like at the end of the ME2. And they can be side quests, too.
Thanks for reading. Sincerest congratulations for every action you took for ME2. You're the best.

I didn't say that--quite the opposite. I like the combat so much that I want more of it. That is, I'd like a minigame centered on combat precisely so that I can enjoy the action component of ME without having to continuously repeat the same long treks and dialogues between fights.

Make gaining a level, every level, mean something. Too often I'd level and see I didn't have enough points to buy anything..... oh well, in another 3 levels guess I''ll have enough accrued points to buy that next power rank.
I didn't care for the planetary resource gathering, seemed out of place.
Keep the humor!!!! Every trip to the Citadel I hit the Elcor Hamlet ad, chuckle at all the stores which are 'my favorite store on the citadel' and pay a visit to the game store merchant. I enjoy humor like that in a game where it doesn't come off as campy or out of place.
Give us more variety in how we complete missions.

- NPC Dialogue: Bioware's characters have such interesting stories and personalities that could be utilized even more deeply. If having fewer squad members means those characters will acknowledge, talk, and interact with each other more often, please cut back the number of squadmates. I'm not requesting two hours worth of conversations between each set of NPCs, but an "aside" comment, like Miranda and Jacob's brief background interaction on Omega, would lend much realism and depth.

- Romance Relationships: Please do not exclude good friend/comrade relationships for different characters to make room for a plethora of romance relationships. I understand many players obsessively enjoy these (heck, I've played a couple myself), but I don't understand why "you're the same gender" or "you're not interested in snogging me" shuts down any more relationship progression. And before certain people get annoyed, know that I'm not suggesting Bioware completely ditch or ignore romances; they just should not be the only close option.
- Combat: Please keep the ability to aim while in the squad tactics. While I do run and shoot in real time many days, on other days my arthritis makes the quick movements more difficult. Bioware, thank you for the giving the players both options!
