Dragon Age did it ok, but it just seemed a little too scripted, a little bland. I want to feel like "THIS SH*T JUST GOT REAL!!"
Make it lengthy, so theres several stages to it, but make the stages unique and feel like they matter. Not go here kill them, go here kill them, go here fire the deathstar.
Finally give us some great endings! The good, the bad, and the really really ugly!

It would be nice to be able to pick the various decisions you make in previous games when starting with a completely new character w/o importing. When I first started ME2 I had no saves from ME1 and so the council was dead and every playthrough was as if I played as a renegade in the previous game. I had ME1 at the time but no saves so I had to play through a couple times just so I could fully enjoy ME2. It was such a frustrating hassle and I'm SURE there are still some elements in ME2 I didn't experience as a result.

More Weapons. Okay, i'm a shooter guy first off, i'm all about some Halo, Bad Company, and Call of Duty. However, i'm picky when it comes to the weapons I use, I have to say that the only time I used heavy weapons on ME2 was for boss battles, but we had like 10 of them. So 10 heavy weapons that were utterly useless for my character, 2 sniper rifles, 3 assault rifles, 3 SMG's, and 2 pistols. It doesn't matter that the guns in the first game were generic, each new rifle was more powerful than the last, and I liked that. Bring back the leveling system for weapons and give us some variety in our loadouts.
More variety in Armor. It kind of bothers me that unless you got the DLC armors, which were pretty much crap btw, every single Mass Effect 2 character looked essentially alike. I like variety in my RPG"s. Even Fallout 3 gave you several varieties of heavy armors and light armors to choose from.
Random planets. Personally I actually enjoyed the random planets in the first game. It made the universe feel alive. While scanning planets in ME2, I couldn't help feeling that every single planet was dead, aside from the ones I had missions on. Even small generic settlements would be nice, this is the future, I think human especially would be staking claims on every habitable planet in the galaxy.
More historic planets. I really enjoyed the planets containing prothean ruins. As a history buff it was kind of cool seeing the history of the ME universe, exploring ruins, maybe even give us some good tech on a few of them. Mass Effect for me isn't just about the RPG elements, it isn't just about the shooter elements, this is a freaking space game, my character commands a space ship. If you want to make this final installation in the trilogy a masterpeice, make it feel like a real universe, a real space ship, make me want to visit every planet, every moon. I feel that the various species in this game have a very rich history, not including the fascinating Prothean race, which are in a class of their own.
I'm really hoping an expansion for ME2 will be released that allows you to pick your final crew, or at least the majority of your final crew for the third game. I understand the prospect of new crew members being able to come in during the final game, and I welcome it, however I felt rushed in ME2 to get every crew member, and by the time I did that, there was no game left, it was the final mission and the end of the playthrough. I hope you give Mass Effect the last hoorah it deserves. We all have our own ideas of what the final game should be like. I want the final game to be a full RPG, to feel like a full RPG. Recent RPG's were my first real experiences in the genre. Oblivion gave me over 100 hours with a single character my first time. There was so much to explore, so much to do, so many characters and quests. I like that ME2 beefed up the action, but I sincerely hope it doesn't lose it's RPG soul. At the heart of all good RPG's are the massive customization options and endless exploration, and I hope those aspects are in the final ME game. I'm sad that this trilogy has to end, and I want ME3 to take up a lot of my time next year. Even if you have to do it in pieces, I want a full RPG, a full story, not just 15 hours of collecting crew members and 5 hours of storyline missions. I want a massive gaming experience, one that only this wonderful space opera can provide.

WEAPON AMMO - I love the new thermal clips. I don't love that there is almost no ammo to be had when you really need it and when it does drop it can sometimes drop down a cliff, behind a wall etc. I also think that when you go back to the Normandy all your ammo (INCLUDING HEAVY WEAPON AMMO) should be refilled. Along with all medigels. It is absolutely rediculous to think that the Normandy doesn't have ammo and medigels on it when you get back from a mission. The Illusive Man spent four billion credits and who knows how much on Shepard and the Normandy and can't afford bullets and bandaids?
SQUAD INTERACTION - I miss being able to target a character in an area and get specific information and opinons from that character. I also miss the mission breifings when we had all the Teammates together interacting. I would really love it if we had mission breifings where we could see everyone interact together.

I would like to see the possibility to use every type of weapon back just like in ME1 because if you play technician adept or sentinel the fact that you can only use pistols and smg's makes the game harder. Sometimes you are out of clips and therefore cannot fire and have trouble completing parts of the game. I like the thermal clips but we should be able to use every weapons if not i feel like my character is just too dumb to handle something else.
I liked the fact that weapons had permanent upgrades but a deeper modification system would be great too. Taking my assault rifle apart and switching the canon, firing coil, scope, stock and even appearancewould bring something to the game. this way i would be able to set a weapon like i need it to be.
I like the piece by piece armor creation in ME2 but it would have been great to be able to modify our crews armor. Also more pieces would be appreciated in order to maximize possibilities. it woul also be interesting to be able to wear some of the helmets we see in the game on mercenaries or other foes. i personnaly liked the human blue suns helmet. Also, this would be just esthetic goodies, if we were able to design further the painting on our armors with a possibility to add symbols and image to allow us to create our very own pattern that we could share in an eventual multiplayer feature( like the design of the blue sun armor or eclipse sisters).
The hacking system and bypass should definitely be a keeper in my opinion but it would interesting to add more than credits as rewards. Data and information about the history of the galaxy would be interesting to get in order to fill a historical data log containing informations that have been hidden from the civilians. Because i find it weird that we hack a lot of old databases in which we never seem to really get important information when there should be.
Thanks for reading this hope it helped.

New villians. Saren could have had a brother.
Would be cool to find out that Harbinger was a actually a rogue reaper acting alone with the collectors, trying to help the Human Race the only way he knew how, by creating a human reaper. Therefore by killing the human reaper Shepard has royally screwed everyone. The Illusive Man could have known this and is actually working for the reapers. Cool twist.
I'd love a solo mission. Shepard on his own would be awesome.
Zero-G missions like in Dead Space.
If your Shepard is male then your romantic partner from ME1 got pregnant and had your kid while you were being rebuilt. This would be an amazing twist to the story, Shepard no longer has just himself to think about. And if you didn't stay faithful to Liara or Ash in ME2 you'd have a lot of explaining to do.
Squadmates have the ability to come and go as they please. Especially if they keep the squadmates around from the suicide mission. Mission 's over. Maybe not everybody would want to stick around. ****** a squadmate off enough they'll ask to get dropped off at the next planet.
A Squadmate turns on you during a key mission. The squadmate would be decided by how you treat them and how often you take them out on missions. You wouldn't really feel apart of a team if your stuck on the ship twiddling your thumbs everyday.
If they end up using all the surviving squadmates from ME2 it could be neat if they immediately kill off your least used squadmate and your most used squadmate from ME2. Forcing you to play the New Game in a new way and a great twist to start off the game.
On key missions you have the ability to lose teammates for good if you don't make all the right decisions. Not just during the final mission. This makes each mission all the more interesting and important. No mission is a sure thing
Liara as squadmate
Jack grows out her hair.
More romance drama. Maybe a split decision Like they're on a different ship that gets shot down a by slavers and you have to save the romantic interest or chase down the slavers and save the prisoners that they got away with.
More acknowledging of the romance of Shep in dialogue and other missions. For example in Me2 you boink Jack and she dies 5 minutes later during the suicide mission and its like they didn't even spend the last 13 missions flirting with eachother. Just "oh well that sucks. moving on." If i chose a love interest in the game I want it to be a big point in the game. I mean being involved with someone would effect most of your decisions not just an afterthought. Especially when you're constantly in peril. You'd do anything to make sure signifigant other is safe.
Space dating and other leisurely activities
Hangout with crewmate on downtime.
My own heavy mech squadmate. EDI could control it.
Krogans, Quarians, Geth, The Council Asari commandos etc, all join your cause against the reapers.
Nudity. so what i'm a perv. get over it.
Toggle helmet on/off.
Armor Select in pause menu.
A mission where you go outside the ship during space travel and do some repairs.
Save/sacrifice missions. Like on Virmire in ME1.
whatchoo all think

I would like to see uncharted worlds in Mass Effect 3, if development time and resources are available, to be a mix of the get-right-to-it on foot missions of Mass Effect 2, and for some to be a bit more open like the Overlord expansion.
In the case of the latter, please allow us to leave the Hammerhead, and if not then at least put some extra story or information to discover in the overworld. Overlord was a big step in the right direction, and while the overworld in that is pretty great and nice to look at, its extremely barren and without any kind of story or secrets. The Data Package collect-a-thon quest was worthless, with the reward being only an achievement.
+1 to this. I just completed another playthrough of ME1 to import into ME2 and found this to be the most glaring difference. This ability to explore planets creates a sense of scale. Subtleties such as lighting, environmental conditions, moons and binary stars all add to this. This sense of scale, and the sense of exploration are sadly missing from ME2.
With that said, the combat system in ME2 is superb. The urgency of battle is captured very well. I do hope that this will not be the focus of the next game, though. These are Sci-Fi RPGs and I would hope to see a little more RPG with at least a small looting system. I believe that biggest issue with the ME1 inventory was that there was no way to organize it. Basic database management options for the inventory would have made things much easier on all of us.
Lastly, I would peronally like to see weapon customizatons along the lines of the N7 armor customization. Please include IN-GAME WEAPON STATS!!! I should not have to dig through coalesced.ini to see which weapon is stronger! If I want to decide between the Collector assault rifle or the Geth Pulse rifle, I would like to know the advantages and disadvantages of each.

Mods can really make or break your game. Just look at half life 2. Some people buy the game JUST FOR THE MODS! Hell i pushed off buying mass effect for what 2 years because there were no mods but i couldn't resist the sale on steam. I'm starting to see that alot of games these days block off modding because they think it will stop playing from buying dlc's because they can make their own content. Well id like to point you in the direction of fall out 3. A very successful game. A very fun game. But most of my friends agree when i say it would have died long ago if not for mods. If any bioware people are reading this (which I'm sure they will not) the best way to keep people playing your game is to keep them entertained, the easiest way to do this is mods, another good way is release a dlc every month.
TL;DR
MODS ARE FUN!
P.S. not meaning to sound demanding but buy weapons and armor was nice.
P.S.S. Tali is cool
P.S.S.S. linear quests are not fun.

CUSTOMIZABLE WEAPONS if you guys (Bioware) only act on one thing on this thread let it be this. We wanna be able to change accessories such as sniper rifle barrel length, or clip size, built in grenade launcher? Oh, yeah. Paint jobs. Hell, even down to the general shape of the weapon itself.
Throw some stealth into this game! Believe it or not, people get tired of nothing but runnin' an' gunnin' throughout an entire game.
class specific options throughout the game, wouldn't it have been cool to have an engineer/sentinel/infiltrator Shepard go through the vents? Or an adept/vanguard/sentinel Shepard do the barrier?
class roles. Bioware, you say that the differant classes suit differant play styles, yet all the missions are the exact same for all classes. An infiltrator Shepard should be able to do just that, infiltrate. Vanguards should have some nice 'charge right in and take out all 'em sons a ****es!' moments. Engineers should have some cool hacking missions. All I'm saying is, you made the cannon Shepard a soldier, and in doing so made it so the game plays like a soldier would do in real life, run and gun.
I liked the armor customization options, but I also think we should be able to design out own add-ons. (on a point system of course, we cant have overpowered armor.)
The final mission was my favorite in the game, not because of epic-ness, or that in was cool and fun and just downright awesome, but because you got to choose who did what for different parts, eg: secondary team leader, and if you chose bad then bad things happen. I would like this in the third game, but don't make it so someone dies EVERY time you chose wrong, make someone get injured, the badguy gets away and you have to do another mission to get him, civies die, etc...
I also think that anyone on your team should be able to be romanced, I was disappointed that femshep couldn't romance Jack or Miranda.
More dogfighting. I swear to God, nothing is more entertaining than watching Joker make wisecracks at people as he blows them up. And this goes without saying, you should be in control of the Normandy during these.
Even more squad-mate specific missions, these are fun, gripping and epic. Don't make them ALL count towards Loyalty, but I was saddened when I couldn't go bounty hunting with Zaeed. Or Assassinate someone with Thane. Or plan to and rob a bank with Kasumi. (those 'Master heist' and jail break movie type plans would be something fun to do in ME3.)

I would very much like to see my accepted solution is indeed reflected in the final part, not only line news or message to the E-mail, and game action, a separate storyline.
Hopefully the results my choice really change the storyline the game to every single passage was a new story, rather than the background on the main plot, where all the matter the choice is static, but with different comments as what is happening
I hope this is not too critical but I felt it.
I would like to have in squad of the character from ME1, which I chose to Virmire, and most of the characters from ME2.
It seems to me that the new, completely unfamiliar, characters are not needed in the detachment ME3, they simply will not cause those emotions that I experienced seeing characters from ME1.
Specifically: What important for me: Garrus, Tali'Zorah, Kaidan, Grunt, Samara / Morinth, Thane
I would like totally unexpected developments in ME3, unexpected help from unknown allies, betrayal from an unexpected The sides, self-sacrifice and cowardice companions.
I would like to find incredible secrets of the ancient races that will help in the fight.
Big, heavy and bitter loss in the war, to victory was not easy at the cost
I would like to sense a repetition cycle, was not trivial and obvious.
While playing, I'd like to think That I never expected it!
And separately.
I play on PC and porting ME2 comparing with ME1 was worse.
I am willing to wait longer exit the PC version and get more adapted game.
I hope my wishes will be seen. And many thanks for your work!
