Mass Effect 3 needs more customization for the squad members. Having Jack run into battle half naked seems a bit silly to me. Maybe give each squad member a couple unique armor pieces that can be mixed-matched, that also suit their personality and race. Say for instance there would be 3 helmets, 3 shoulder platings, 3 body platings, etc. Then let the player pick from these which ones the squad member would wear. This would allow more customization, and also keep the suit fitted to that character's personality.
Or just bring back the ME1 sort of thing.

I would really enjoy an upgrade system that brought moral choice into the picture. Sheppard gets the choice, would he rather upgrade his armor, and buy new armor, like in Mass Effect 1+2, or would he rather get Cybernetic upgrades, sacrificing his humanity to save his species. Staying "pure" would award Paragon points, while becoming more and more robotic would award Renegade points. The Cybernetic implants would offer a larger combat bonus, but it will effect how other people treat you, making them less likely to trust you.

well first of dont end this epic story at ME3.
Like others id like to see to see earth. (city style).
And for some reason it would be cool to include some kind of vampire in the game.
Doesnt really have a "needed" place in the world, but its filled with crazy aliens who couldnt do alot of strange things. (i would assign that role to someone of the same race as Thane.)
Keep some kind of vehicle in the game as the new firewalker. Then have a planet like in ME1 with the space buggy (free roaming) where theres a huge space monster where you can test your combat skills to the max). - Something like battling Ultima in FF7. ""sidequest""
Revive Saren for a epic battle! hehe well maybe not. But he will be missed.
Well none of these are things that are really needed. But would be fun.,
But i have no doubt that ME3 will be great. Cant really fail after 2 epic games with the same title and same crators.

Like scanning planets, hate driving MAKO.
Dislike a lot of the new characters so far in ME2 (still not that far in though). Make sure there are some good guys for us paragons to hang out with!
More/deeper interaction with Joker please. Good character, interaction shallow so far.
I like combat simple, so if you do make it more complicated and in depth, please keep it very simple on the easy setting still. Thanks! I'm a numskull. Also, I quite like stealth/sniping missions rather than aaaaaargh spray and pray missions. Can we have some more like that?
I like the citadel and the Turian police from ME1. I could do some police missions on the citadel happily. In fact I could just live there really and be a space cop.

I'm not even going to ask for Liara, Tali, Garrus or Ashley/Kaiden because I know no matter what happens THEY WILL MAKE AN APPEARANCE. Also judging by how the ending was in this game it seemed like it led to a more specific sort of way to open the third game, I expect most of the squad to stay and Joker I can see will maybe have a bigger role to play also.
Also the hover tank was awesome. Maybe combine that with mineral finding. (Blow **** up while collecting Element Zero)

How about more RPG and less Shooter?
Give inventory back (in more transparent form than it was in ME1)
Give us more skills, and more exp.
Give back damage of the weapons, cos thats one of the most important things in RPG

Hi Everyone!
My wishlist or suggestion for the ME3:
- I want to back LIARA (or Ashley)!!! /male Sheperd/ -----> more emotions, more importants for the last battle
- I want to see ADMIRAL HACKETT!!! (The biggest Alliance Hero after Sheperd and Anderson)
- I hate the counsil... They are very "idiot" and blind...
( /But i saved them.../
- It could be the last battle at the Earth... Maybe the Human Alliance fighting alone, but the end of the battle, the counsil would arrive...
And this is an RPG! The one of the Best! Please, more emotions, more suffering, more heroism for the hero of the galaxy!!!
I love that game!!!!!!
Thank you, and sorry for my bad english
I used a translator-program... A little...

In mass effect 3 they should do the whole backgroung system with different intro like dragon age and you should be able to play as different races such as a drell or turien or even asari.

I dunno why it is that game developers struggle so much with so-called minigames these days. Anyone remember Paradroid from the C64 days? The part where you had to take over a droid by gaining more nodes was a minigame that actually served a purpose, was entertaining and different each time, and actually had a reasonable context. Plus there was a reasonable possibility of failure.
Over two decades later and we're using a ruddy game of "Pairs" in an AAA title as a method of bypassing a door lock employing a fictional technology hundreds of years in the future. In context it not only makes no sense but is just plain silly. Either just get rid of it (after all it's not like goldfish are going to be playing the game - and it's not exactly a challenge for humans) or do something that's actually entertaining. Same for the hacking. We're supposedly in a universe of FTL Travel, supernatural abilities manifest through science, V.I.s are so ubiquitous they're used as advertising billboards and yet we're supposed to believe that hacking a bank account involves matching up chunks of coloured text… An iphone could probably cope with that.
I eventually gave up bothering looking behind any door with an orange lock, or picking up notepads. People don't want to be saying - ohhh christ - there's a door that needs bypassing, suppose I'd better go have a look…

My two wishes for ME3 - No tiny text! What a stupid idea to have tiny text in a game like ME2 where text can be important, whoever had the idea for tiny text is an idiot of the highest calibur.
Bring back the RPG elements, let the player play about with their stats after a fight instead of having to wait till they've completed a mission.
So what if the whiny ones complain that their brains hurt because they had to pause for a minute or two to sort out any stats before coming under attack again, it adds a little tactical element, makes the player try to plan ahead for the next attack.

Since no one posted on my response I will repost it here. Hopefully some bioware guys will read it and think harder for the DLC and ME3.
So I have come up with a few ideas for bioware. Feel free to
comment and improve the idea. I believe that all the ideas we give to bioware
will pay off in a better mass effect 3.
Exploration/ mineral acquisition-
So people have complained since the launch that there is
absolutely no exploration of the planets that we land on. Unlike in ME1 we
didn’t have a actual exploration vehicle at launch, and arguably till this day.
The idea to fix this could go like this. We find a planet that you want to see
if there is action going down. Scan the planet to see if anything is happening,
but you will not be doing the planet wide game that we are doing currently. How
would we get our resources? Well the scanner would say if there is any action,
or any resources that might be on the planet. If there were minerals then you
would drop down in the vehicle and explore the landscape for the minerals.
Similar to the mineral acquisition in ME1 but with a twist, which would require
you having a construction, droid drop down from the Normandy and build an
extractor. This extractor would over time give you minerals of the kind you
wanted to harvest. There would be a prompt in the mineral screen, which will
tell you the “health” of your mineral field. If it is getting depleted then it
stops sending minerals to you.
Inventory and upgrades
Ok so good deal of people were furious because of the lack
of weapons and options on customization. The first gave us a haphazard
inventory system that was overly complicated for some (personally have no issue
with the first system but I am a sucker for customization) people. So I would
use the ME2 system that we currently have but tweek it so that we can customize
our character and have a feeling of accomplishment when we take down a huge
fortress. So just like in the current system you will be able to look at the
weapon/ armor of choice and load up expandable options. An example of this is
getting new sniper rifle barrel and you want to add it to your super awesome
gun. Well you would go to one of the weapon stations and replace the barrel
section. Replacing the ammo types from a power to a purchased item is just
necessary! For the life of me I couldn’t figure out why they had replaced that.
Similar things can be used to improve your armor, or you could just replace it
with a better system.
Missions becoming more
epic!!!
So I can’t stress that more! The current missions in ME2
feel like they are not very drawing or epic. As they stand right now they are
just a few minutes of bleh to give credence to having new squad members. The
other problem that shows up is like in ME1 you have good storyline missions but
the areas that the missions are located look exactly the same. So we need to
look at how missions are structured. Instead of bland missions that don’t
further the story we need ones that are more pushing the story and stressing
the action packed nature from the story mission in ME1. ME2 also had some
pretty killer missions that furthered the story and had a good deal of action.
Why they decided to pack the game full of bland missions is beyond me. A good
way to make the missions more action packed is by involving all your darn team.
The last mission required you to use the entire team, which was awesome idea.
We have over 10 squad mates and we only use 2 at a time. Granted we are going
to keep the three man system we have now but you could give the them a
different a objective to obtain. An example of this is like ME1 when your on
virmire and you have to attack the lab. You split up with other team, which
they have a goal to achieve just as you do. You can help them along with
certain actions and I think that should transfer. Depending on loyalty of your
crew depends on how hard they fight and the coordination of the attack. So in
effect if you end ME2 and your surviving crew isn’t loyal (don’t think it is
possible but hear me out) then you would have to fight to gain it because they
will not fight as hard.
Thinking about this mission structure logically you will see
that any military with its’ grain of salt has more than one team doing the
fighting for an objective. Why is Shepard doing it that way? If you involve
your entire crew and give a unique location majority of the time and you will
have a 10 out of 10 game.
Fighting needs tweeking!
I know that ME2 had a better handle on the fighting aspect
of the game but seriously we have see more than enough wack a mole style of
cover based shooters. Give us something new to the idea if your going to stick
with that. Personally I would like to vary up the combat to improvise what you
need to do to kill something. An example of this is using pull on a object so
it swings over to crush the guys you were trying to kill. This has you working
with your environment and spices up the combat an extra step. That being said I
will say this again ME2 was a better combat experience but needed to be fixed
even further than they went.
DLC that freaking matter!
I am willing to pay for DLC! Also believe me that I am not
complaining about overlord or any of the free DLC. But the apperance packs and
the extra squad mate DLC should have been free. They add next to nothing in
story, if they have a mission it takes no time to finish. The Kasumi mission
was short and to add insult to injury you only get one mission. Really bioware
she is going to be loyal to you just by doing one mission. All but one of the
pay for content was a slap in the face to loyal fans. I am not going to
complain if you take a few months extra to bring out a DLC that is bigger and
furthers the story. Right now if you finish the game you can go back to your
squad mates and they still talk as if they are about to die on the final
mission. And if you go back to the human representative at the citadel you get
the same old line. Also dealing with the Liara v Shadow broker thing, where is
our explanation? I would have loved to have a side mission where I have to hunt
down some stuff for her. I would have taken down the entire empire of lies for
her. But we get no such luck, well just yet anyway.
Again if I hear “don’t buy it then” I will tell you to GTFO
for trolling and for not furthering the conversation.
Lastly the vehicle
My only complaint in the current vehicle is the lack of
armor on this thing. It is like I have paper mache armor and if I get shot I am
going to be in a world of hurt. The maco took a hell of a lot of damage before
you died. It made life a bit easier but with the controls on it you would
understand the need for good armor. Also another thing that the maco had was a
secondary gun. The missiles are wonderful but come on guys give me something
cooler. My idea was a hover tank (that didn’t freeze up in cold temps. For the
love of god if your on a planet with no atmosphere then the tank would do
nothing.) with a pair of rocket launchers which do the same attacking as the
current system does but with a central cannon similar to the maco. This little
ball of death would have enough armor to take a few to the face but the
flexibility to float around the enemy while dealing massive amounts of
death.
So again any ideas on how to improve my idea then feel free.
I have read a good deal of forums and came up with a hybrid of ideas I have
created and others have thought up. I think it would make ME3 sell really well.

Maybe not for ME3 but I'd like to see perhaps a spin off game where you could have your own customized alien (salarian, drell, krogan, asari) similar to Dragon Age. Could take place in the same time frame as ME with some run ins with Shep and the crew.

If Liara AND Ashley return as squad mates I'll be happy with whatever Bioware decides to do.
I agree with whoever wished for a marriage scene near or at the end of the game. (Can't remember who said it. Sorry.) Not necessarily a wedding but maybe an extra cut scene if you had an LI. You know, after the credits roll or something.

I strongly hope Bioware considers adding more of the RPG elements back into the game. My biggest complaint from ME2 is how little squad member dialog there is complared to Dragon Age. I would love to see squad mates talk to each other like they do in Dragon Age and to have deeper conversation trees.
Bring back armor, inventory(re-designed) and some more flexibility in weapon loadout and class builds.
I also actually prefer the individual ability cooldowns in ME1 to the shared in ME2. It gets very very boring after a while of spamming the same ability because it works better than anything else. Ex. does a vanguard do anything but charge on hard or insanity?
Also please fix biotic powers. Biotics where great fun in the first game. Now in ME2 everything has armor that makes half the powers useless for the majority of the fight. Armor should not stop a biotic throw unless your talking about something really heavy like a mech. On a regular soldier, it should just make him take less damage. I don't see how it keeps him rooted to the ground.
