 - Different keys for skipping dialogue and choosing dialogue options, so that I don't accidentally choose something I didn't want to. (In DA it works fine - Esc for skip, Space for choose).

 - Being able to name the saves - having save with name e.g. "Collector's ship" instead of "75" would be definitively helpful when I want just replay some parts of the game. I know, usually I can guess the purpose of the save by location, e.g. Haestrom = Tali, but sometimes it is problematic.
(For example, my favourite side mission is the MSV Estevanico and it isn't possible to save on this mission, so I can only save on the Normandy before and later guess which one of the ten Normandy saves is the right one).
Once again, in DA it works fine.

i really dont want them to bring back mass effects inventory system, to me it would ruin the game, i like me2's weapon system so much better. they should just add in more ammo types and bring back grenades, also i hope they add in the ability to change the color of your weapons because i hate not being able. but seriously NO MASS EFFECT 1 INVETORY, NOBODY LIKES HAVING HUNDREDS OF USELESS ITEMS. More missions where you use vehicles would also be cool, i didnt really like the MAKO, but the hover tank was awesome and much better it just needs a chain gun or something along woth the cannon. Also more pistols, every other weapon has enough choices but the pistols, revolver ftw! Posted Image

Hear hear!
I'm with you all the way there. That was one of the most annoying things in ME1. I really didn't clean out my inventory as much as the game probably anticipated me to, so i was always stuck with that message that says "hey, you are approaching too many items in your inventory. Limit is 160 and you have 155" .. and so on. Very annoying.

When it comes to weapons, i would definetly like to see more skins. What was it in ME2? two... maybe three for each weapon? Feels very limited.

Not to mention the fact that i really don't experience any change in use when switching from for example assault rifle to pistol.
Both kill just as good. I sometimes find myself using AR all the time, and then i think "oh, wait a minute... i have more weapons... yeah that's right.. maybe i should use another"...  It just doesn't feel that important to switch to i.e sniper rifle, when you can just as well run up to the enemy and blast him away with AR rapid fire.
On this note, i would like to have more clearly defined areas in when to use shotgun, when to use AR, when to use the pistol.. etc etc. They should all have situations when they are needed the most and those situations should be well presented.
As it is now, the switching between weapons doesn't really have that big an effect. Only the heavy weapons make a decent change in power/blast-radius/fire-frequency/cool-down etc.
The rest just feel... redundant..

On another note, i would like more realism in regards to the helmet-toggle. Why is Shepard the only one who realizes that it is important to protect ones head during incoming fire? If i toggle the helmet to "on", no one else feels obliged to do put on their helmets... which is very strange... i want to be able to control my squad-mates helmet-use; just like in ME1. If for nothing else, than at least for the sense of cosmetic realism.
It just looks cooler (and smarter) if ALL members of the squad have their helmets on if i choose to go for the "Space Marine"-look during a mission. ^_^

yeah i always ended up using my AR through the whole game with the occasional sniper take down on  harder enemies, and i do miss that how in mass effect 1 you could toggle sqaud helmets, i think that squad mates should have armor and casual clothes just like shepard does, i think that would be a pretty nice upgrade from the me2 squad outfit change.

i dont understand this interest people have with saren since he is technically a minor character in the whole mass effect storyline. Also he is very DEAD and i doubt there be another lazarus project to revive him.

Minor character?
He played a big part in Mass Effect: Revelation AND was the main villain in ME1. How are you thinking he is a minor character?
Yeah, sure, he's dead... NOW.
But he's still one of the most recognizable individuals from the Mass Effect universe.

The bottom line is, no one not currently working at Bioware can know for sure that he IS or IS NOT gonna be resurrected. And who says it has to be another Lazarus? Humans, especially Cerberus, didn't have any particular love for Saren. It's far mor likely that he comes back (IF he does) by some way of the strange metaphysical techno-implants he had incorporated in himself.

It's all just speculation, of course, but at this stage, nothing can be ruled out permanently.
Some of us prefer to have an active imagination. ^_^ That's all.

If they are going to bring him back, I would like to see him as as a villian turned good simillar to Barbarossa in the pirates of the carribean. There could be an option of recruiting him, which whichever choice u choose may cauce trouble between shepard and the other squadmates.

Co op is a terrible idea...THey already have a heck of a task on their hands wrapping up the series let alone take time into figuring out how to make it so they can have a co op system...

Why do people want every single game out there to have multiplayer? Multiplayer=crappier game at the sake of "being able to play with something" every time....The Resident Evil series was RUINED by trying to implement a multiplayer...

Matter of fact if I hear ME3 has multiplayer..I just might hang it up right here...I am sick and tired of video games these days being ruined for the sake of having to focus on making an appealing multiplayer (most still suck anyways) at the expense of not spending time on the actual game...Very few games these days are single player...and what do ya know...all those games tend to be the ones with the best and most deep and satisfying campaigns...Multiplayer= less depth every SINGLE time.

Hit a nerve?

Having multiplayer doesn't instantly mean it has to be part of the main story line, it could just perhaps be a little skirmish or a few multiplayer only levels  with friends not affecting your single player play through, that way people like you can still play on your own. And people like me can enjoy an evening playing with my friends.

Unless you work for Bioware, and i'm guessing you don't, you have no idea what their task is, what their plans are, so don't give me that old tosh.

The single player experience doesn't have to  be compromised at all. Infact even if there's some kind of multiplayer/coop experience DLC that comes a long, that would be a massive bonus.

Now listen, this is my wish list. I'm still going to be more than content if they blow any multiplayer/coop idea out of the water.

Go calm down.

Yeah you did hit a nerve, its called my common sense...Every game that comes out that had a profound single player that later went and added into a multiplayer ultimately affected the quality of the actual game...Name a single game that was known for great single player that later added MP that didnt come at the expense of the single player campaign in any stake....How many games are out there nowadays that are for people who just like good quality single player with depth? not many at all...Not everyone likes mindnumbing multiplayer shootouts that repeat over and over at the sake of forcing them to make some halfwitted campaign because its not their true focus.

I dont need to work for Bioware to have an idea what their task is for ME3, its common sense if they hold true to their word ME3 is the end of the Shepard story(i hope isnt really)...The thing ME1 did was make the Reaper task seem so immense and dangerous that it is nearly impossible to win against...While I still enjoyed ME2, I dont believe they truly did justice to how dangerous they played up the reapers in 1...Now, with that being said in ME3 is truly the end of the Shepard story and the trilogy...its pretty obvious they have a HUGE task at presenting all the elements to the game which we enjoyed from ME1 and ME2..meanwhile managing to wrap up the Reaper threat which is so HUGE of a threat your going to need more than a couple missions to truly do it justice...adding in a MP almost guarantees they will not be able to wrap the story up nicely..I honestly doubt they will be able to if they DONT add a MP....ME1 set the bar very very high up for how much of a problem the Reapers are...I want them to live up to that in ME3...not downplay it....Which is why I ultimately hope they decide to make a ME4...I see it logical they could wrap the series up and do it justice with 4 games...I really dont with just 3.

and its you who should calm down...Did I attack you no, I went on to explain how multiplayer always comes at the loss of the singleplayer...so actually it looks like I hit a nerve with you.

i cant really think about anything i want back from ME1 but i dont like the Mini-game scanning or whatever, the small amount of space on each "major" quest hub, and if you registered your ME2 game, but you cant import your character, let you choose the things that happened in the game, like your being asked who you saved in the suicide mission, you can choose who you saved and who died, from 0-13 (shepard being the 13th) or something like that

This has probably been mentioned already but I'll say it anyway. I think that ME2 was a major improvement from ME1 so basically the only thing that disappointed me was the absence of heavy/medium/light armor categories. I always tend to play tank-ish characters with a lot of health and armor even in ME and DA, so when I found out that in ME2 every class could wear any armor I suddenly lost the desire to play my soldier. If ME3 will have certain armor or, better yet, armor pieces available only for soldiers I'll be super happy. Oh, and bring immunity back!

That's precisely what i am hoping ^^ It would be such an awesome plot twist to have the bad-ass from ME1 become a supporting character in the last game.

I second that!!! :o

Also.. how about an intro-text which doesn't disappear after you've read about 1/4 of it..?

And... it would be nice to see Ashley with her hair down for once. She might even become real sexy. That knot-thing is just not helping our relationship. :P If she keeps it up, i wont have any other choice but to go for ms. hotness Miranda.
No, i actually went for Tali the first time, cause she has the most layered personality and is quite cute, but purely physically speaking, in my opinion, Miranda is definitely the sexiest female.

I'm sure this has been said hundreds of times but DLC armor that you can take the helmet off of so you don't look like an @-hole when your talking to people! Also make it easier to get launch day DLC so that slower people like me don't waste are collector armor and weapon code! Other than that keep on doing what you do BW.

I suppose that makes sense...but my problem is trying to find console games which have splitscreen. I haven't seen one that supports it since Modern Warfare 2, and it pisses me off. I have no trouble finding good single-player games, however.

Ok, here's my little opinion and my wishes for ME3:

The inventory in ME1 was way too complicated and it wasn't fun having to clean up hundrets of useless items when it reached it's limit. The solution in ME2 was better, but the GUI could need some improvements - I realized the slots for weapon upgrades pretty late.. also, the character stats felt too limited for a RPG in ME2.

What I enjoyed the most was the dialogue-system. It offers a great feeling of taking part in the story and having the possibility to change the mind of your teammates. But please try to find a solution to minimize repetitions of sentences, that breaks the illusion. It would be better if you just can not activate a character, once everything is said, instead of listening to the same sentence all the time (Garrus's calibrations!).

A point, that is pretty important to me is: please give some more possibilities in building up the relationship with your teammates - especially make love possible with any teammate, regardless of the gender or species! And guys ... at least a simple kiss wouldn't bring you to hell. The love scene with Garrus was a bit ... disappointing ;) MORE LOVE FOR THE GALAXY! (and more animations like the ones after playing through the game ^^)

What else should be said ... yes. I liked the new fighting-system, with it's hitboxes (headshot, baby !!) and the custom captain's quarter is *amazing* ! Also the whole design of the Normandy in ME2 is great.

One thing I didn't like in ME2 was the loading screen. ME1 managed to give a deep immersion by making the world almost seamless, the loading screen breaks the illusion. But something really worse is the exploration minigame ... it is awful >.< the idea of resources and research is very nice, but gaining those resources with that boring, LAME and time-wasting minigame ... argh.

Graphics were awesome. The places like omega station felt alive and had a better feeling than Star Wars.

Oh yes, and Tali's face would be a nice myth to reveal in ME3 ^^

When I talk about faces ... I want Garrus's face being "repaired" in ME3 (!!)

Sooo, now everything should be said - or at least the most important things. One last word - I love the song inside the Afterlife club - whoever made it: nice work.

I like the inventory system as is in ME2. I would like to see more items, but I like only being able to change stuff in your ship or at specified locations (which were generous IMO).

You cant go around assaulting the universe with 100+ rifles, SUITS of armor, grenades, and other miscellaneous things on your back. If you can do it, ill let it slide in the game. Sure its fiction, but you gotta draw the realism/fiction line somewhere.

Realism is exactly what ruins many games. Its an RPG people! Your supposed to have an inventory system. Why dont we make it that every new rpg has no inventory and then there all just shooters. And ME1 had a far better story than ME2 even though it had an inventory system. If your that paranoid, pretend the rest of shepherds inventory is on the normandy.

Totally agree with bringing back heavy, medium and light armor. I was exactly the opposite playing ME1 and ME2, as in I went for the kind of quick, agile biotic build, and the armor in ME2 seemed too chunky for my character. How about having armor parts which give an increase in health, but reduce storm speed and power recharge? Adding a more in-depth decision making process to armor parts.

Add checkpoints (beyond the autosave feature).
Make shotguns useful again. Not OP like in ME1, but useable from more than 2 feet away.
Allow the player to broker a truce between the Quarians and the geth.
Allow player's relationships to take the final step: Let 'em get married.

new age gentleman wrote...

To be honest, one of the things that I really want is more conversations with the crew. I know alot of people dont like the talking but they could just add a skip feature or something. Most of the time they just talked about one personal mission and then the only thing you can after that is try to woo them. Plus, the NPC's that have random convos on the ship eventually stops and your ship is creepy quite.

Other then that, I agree that they should do the typical stuff; more exploration, bring the Mako back, Tali unmasked, and a bigger skill tree.
