1) More save slots.
BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY
2) More info in save titles - if the game is save aboard the ship, include the system the ship is in:"Normandy SR-2 (Alpha Draconis)". I have several "Normandy SR-2" saves before various missions and this would help tell them apart.

What i would like to see in mass effect 3.
1. Better Melee, Maybe even melee weapons. (swords and what not)
2. Expand on space travel. (i.e. flying through space, driving on land, more vehicle stuff)
3. Tali Unmasked.
Oh Tali, how i love you.....
I want to have the option of being a player in ME3, like actually getting away with having relationships (or relations)
and playing around could be renegade, and having a steady one on one could be paragon.
just make the romance less linear than: choose this person to have a relationship with... have a single romantic cutscene near the end of the game...
it could be a lot more diverse and exciting

I wish they'd put elves, dog people, and wookies in M E 3

an elf like race proficient in genetic and mechanical engineering, as well as architecture and the arts would be really tight!

In addition to bringing back the old citadel, i would live to add more detail to the wards.
Also, i want earth to actually play a role in the storyline and have us be able to actually explore earth cities.

To be honest, one of the things that I really want is more conversations with the crew. I know alot of people dont like the talking but they could just add a skip feature or something. Most of the time they just talked about one personal mission and then the only thing you can after that is try to woo them. Plus, the NPC's that have random convos on the ship eventually stops and your ship is creepy quite.
Other then that, I agree that they should do the typical stuff; more exploration, bring the Mako back, Tali unmasked, and a bigger skill tree.
I totally agree with you on more crew conversations, if people don't like the talking, they need to try a different series because conversation is one of the core elements that makes the mass effect trilogy unique.
I dont think they should bring the mako back persay but definitely reintroduce a ground vehicle for exploration on planets and incorporate vehicles more into combat and story ( more than just a way to get around with a battle near the end of the journey) and maybe even have vehicle on vehicle fights. and DEFINITELY make the vehicle customizable.
I preferred the size of the skill tree in the first game but would like to have an even larger one in ME3.

its hard to decide on which gameplay confining box you want to try to fit your character into, none will ever satisfy any person completely, if we could make our own classes, gameplay would be a near perfect experience for anyone who picks up the game.
and last but not least...
ALLOW US TO SWITCH classES DURING THE GAME!!
if i'm an infiltrator and one day i decide i want to become a frickin' adept why shouldn't i be able to recycle my talent points and do the dam thing!?

I want stores to have more than one important thing to buy..
I want more side quests like ME1 had
I want more inventory like 1 had...certain people cry because it was work to sort...while I understand it CAN get sorta much...I enjoyed it...and I certaintly didnt enjoy going from unlimited options down to TWO pistols in the game...bring back some of the inventory...PLEASE..remember Bioware this is...an RPG
I want skill points to have more usage like ME1 did...
I want some form of the Mako back...to the cryers...most of it was optionable...go play MW2 and please allow at least one game not become a %100 shooting at endless enemies focused game.

A common theme in my ideas will be that to appease the RPG fanatics and improve gameplay, we need more options again in terms of character building. With that said...
Recharging health:
While there's nothing wrong with recharging health, I think what's done in ME2 is just inappropriately simplistic. There's, what, the Collector armor and that's it that modifies your health regeneration? Enemies don't get recharging health. It's slightly unrealistic.
I think it would contribute to the overall experience to scale it back a bit. Something I noticed is that underneath the armor pieces you change in ME2, there's an undersuit that doesn't change at all. This should be a customizable part of the armor too and always control player health regeneration. I'm getting a bit into what I want from armor customization in ME3, but an example of the layout for armor should be an undersuit with stats for health recharge delay, recharge speed, and percentage recharged. For example, the undersuit in ME2 you always have would be the N7 armor's undersuit, and come with a 50% health recharge, after 5 seconds, at a speed of 5 health per second. I dunno.
Armor/Weapons/Upgrades:
Since this is a long post, I can sum up what I want from armor as simply "ME2 times 10". Including realistic stats like 10% damage reduction (just an example, maybe a better idea would be a damage reduction "score" instead of a percentage) would make the parts more meaningful than they were in ME2 and make RPG purists happy.
I can't complain too much about weapons. Different functions is better than the 1 assault rifle of ME1. Still, the fact that all sniper scopes are the same, all shotguns fire 8 pellets is too bad.
There should be upgrades for these items that strike a balance between both games. I don't want to carry a bunch of useless ones around but there's nothing real fun about gradual, subtle improvements to every weapon in a category. Even more if I don't see it in gameplay.
I'd like to have a bit more control over what squad mates wear. But if Miranda wants to stay in really light stuff, I'm fine. I'd just like to be able to upgrade her skimpy outfit, instead of relying entirely on the 20% health bonus she gets in her class skill.
Which leads me to...leveling up:
What ME2 did better was more noticeable changes to your abilities. What it didn't do was take it far enough! Too few abilities, only 4 changes, and the points required really screwed with how you could build your characters.
As an example, Samara gets 30 points. You need 3 in Pull to unlock Throw. And why wouldn't you put at least 1 in Throw? That's 4. Assume everyone evolves Reave and her class skill. That's a total of 24. With 6 points left, your only options are to spend 3 on Pull and 2 on Throw, or spend 5 on Throw.
Here's an example of what I'm thinking. Powers have 5 levels. Each level costs 1 point. Levels 1, 3, and 5 add a new effect, similar to ME1's "Overkill, Improved Overkill, Master Overkill" style. That sounds sort of silly saying level 1 adds a new effect...technically I just mean it adds a new power. At the same time, I love the evolving of a skill once you master it. I think everyone does. But I don't like that one aspect of the skill doesn't improve when you evolve it. It's like leveling up only half way. Instead of choosing one aspect of your power to improve, just improve one more than the other! It's better, because it's more powerful! I realize game balance comes into this, but I'm sure you guys could figure something to make this work:
Throw level 1 - 500 Newtons, 2 meter radius.
Level 2 - 1000 N, 2.5 m radius
Level 3 - 1500 N, 3 m radius, recharge time - 10%
Level 4 - 2000 N, 3.5 m radius, recharge time - 20%
Level 5 - Evolve to Heavy Throw (3000 N, 4 m radius, -30% recharge) or Area Throw (2500 N, 6 m radius, -30% recharge) or to Rapid Throw (2500 N, 4 m radius, -50% recharge).
Just a rough idea of how skill progression could work. I know it's more complicated than that. In fact, looking at it, it looks way over the top and like level 5 would be the only power you need as a biotic. But this is just an example.
I think I'll pause here and continue in a later post...

Also, they need to bring back the decontamination in progress part towards the entrance of the Normandy and dispel with that atrocious mission complete screen.

I don't know, in ME1 she seemed "too straight" to consider that, but up against Miranda, she's positively gay... who knows?

making ash gay is easier than making a whole new woman, miranda i dont see any way they could or even would do that. kelly really bored me. it would be great in 3 if ash was a female romance option for femsheps3mii wrote...

I also really liked the planet exploration available in ME1, as it really added a massive amount of depth, but it did tend to overcomplicate some missions slightly, so I would really like a mix of both exploration and what there is in ME2.
I think the idea of more exchanges between squad mates, and if your reaction can effect them, it would be perfect. It would also be good if you can choose between squad mates, which other people have suggested.
Economy is really lacking in ME1 and 2, also your actions should be able effect an area - so say you choose to help the people; the effect would show a positive outcome on the people/area, and visaversa for bad choices. So, maybe your actions will effect the entire game further on.
